Geoff Marshall Thank u for keeping my spirits up with a good quiz with a pint, or just you out on the good old railway, come up to the Midlands some time on our metro
"I haven't been on a train in 57 days. I'm on a bridge just north of East Croydon station..." Don't do it, Geoff! "...so I can still look at them." Oh, phew.
You said last week that you'd like to go out visiting the railways. You also asked what we'd like to see. This was exactly what a few of us mentioned, so thank you. Thank you for doing what you do. Thank you for tirelessly being an advocate for trains and transit. Thank you for asking us to participate, inviting us in, and bringing this world to life. Thank you for putting faces and names on all the people that make the networks function, especially in these tough times. Lastly, thank you for giving us ways to escape, even for a few minutes at a time. To the trains!
Jonathan Douglas. I'll echo that Jonathan, well said. And well said and done Geoff, that was perfect. No great fanfare, just sincere thanks and respect. That was exactly right. And what a lovely lady? For the Station Manager at a station the size and importance of East Croydon, I was expecting a grumpy old man, not a bright, switched on, self assured young woman. And it didn't hurt that she was drop dead gorgeous too! I haven't commuted for many, many years and I've only used my car to take my dog for a walk on our favourite common, but I do use trains and buses and I miss them. I live just less than a mile from Streatham Common station and about a half mile from Eastfields (one of the newest and busiest stations on the network) so I can hear trains. When life is at its normal bustle, the sound of trains rarely breaks through, but in the last weeks, the sound of fast trains seems to have been more prevalent. Well done everyone for keeping them rolling. It is appreciated.
@@geofftech2 Great story - looking in from New Zealand. I will say that I see the majority of comments are really positive as I scanned through them. Stay strong. Stay safe.
Jonathan - I completely agree with your comments and Geoff thanks for making this video. It showed the importance of the frontline railway staff and reminded us all of what matters right now.
As a guard I used to love quiet trains. Now I'm desperate for some human interaction again! Can't remember the last time I sold a ticket. Even on the Morning Bristol to London services, the maximum I've had in one of my carriages is 7. Paddington is like a ghost town, even the mess room is split so we have to be 2 metres apart. Haven't been able to get my usual McMuffin breakfast for nearly 2 months it's been a lonely boring job these last couple of months
Very much the same for me. I used to love chatting to my regular passengers on the platforms. And working on a crowded platform kept it challenging, and providing customer service. Now there was almost no one on the platforms. Dispatching empty trains day in and day out, soul destroying...
Agreed. Quiet trains were something to look forward to at the end of the shift. Now I start to worry "what if these passengers never come back?", you start to think about your job and even the need for the whole infrastructure. I know I'm being a little hyperbolic, but I do worry.
As long as you can do the doors from the back. Having to plough through a packed train to work the doors is not so good, especially if passengers do not socially distance themselves. At the moment numbers are so low it is a non issue. Having commuted myself in the past I would have loved to work from home. I suspect far fewer people will use trains going forwards. Trains in North Yorkshire are expensive, infrequent and often cancelled anyway.

Hi Geoff! Hope you are good! Listen I have a 4 year old boy Nnamdi who loves watching your videos. He has been watching your videos for over 2 years. He loves trains and knows a lot of train stations all over the UK. He introduced me to request stops which I never knew existed. I also know about the night train to Penzance! Just wanted to let you know that you are making one little kid from south london a very happy boy with your videos. Keep up the good work😊😊
As a key worker I would like to add my thanks to to all the transport workers for enabling us to get to our jobs. I would particularly like to thank my local bus driver's who have maintained such a helpful demeanor at such a stressful time. It is important to remember that bus driver have had some of the highest infection & mortality rates.
I work for TFL on the Underground, but I think the bus drivers are the true heroes. Thank you, Stephen, for your message, it makes our job worthwhile when there people out there who appreciate our efforts.
As a live-in care worker who doesn't drive, public transport is essential for me to get to & from work every fortnight. Thank you to all the staff who keep it going!
The ‘thank you’ message at the end is heart warming. As I work in the railway industry and is normally the last ones to be recognised for us still working to actually keep everyone that have to travel to keep hospitals, shops, police, fire, government (local or national), the railway in the whole open and available. 🙂
This is so thoughtful, and helpful. A lovely piece of filming. Like you, I MISS travelling. I miss the railway. Since 2017, the railway has been my second home. It hurts. But I know. It's the right thing, right now. I think every day about the people out there, who're keeping it going, keeping people safe, being incredible. You've not only shown what's being done, but shown your respect and appreciation for the staff. Thank-you so much for putting this together.
It feels nice to be recognised by someone for what we do. I work for GTR and cant say too much but thank you for recognising what we are doing to keep everyone moving:)
Love your videos, and enjoyed hearing how trains are doing in the UK. Live in the Portland, Oregon metro area. Retired from public transit a few years ago, bus and light rail. A family member still employed at the same company. Ridership has been down 65-70%, so a new schedule was put together to keep all employees coming to work, but no more overtime available. Slowly now increased ridership, but extra board drivers (who come in to cover for sick time, etc.) are filling those increased runs. In a few weeks a busier schedule will be started, but normal will likely not happen until fall. We have been hit hard in the US with 40+ million new unemployment claims since early March. It will take time to get all of those workers back to work, just like it will in the UK. Be careful when you are out on your bike, stay safe.
Beautiful, wonderful video geoff. We all feel your yearning, we yearn with you, trains, planes, our loved ones, the world, we will be as one again in time. Have faith and hope. Thanks for this video geoff. Stay safe.
Great video Geoff, we all miss travelling but we’ll meet again. I’ve been watching your videos since the days of Londonist (The Secrets Of..). I hope you and your family stay safe, you’ve inspired me from a young age and now I’ve built up the confidence to start my own aviation RUclips channel. You played a part in that, thanks
May I just say, Geoff? You are our family’s hero! Not an evening goes by without our 3 year old George binging on your earlier episodes ( Secrets of the Underground) ;) He is obsessed with trains, overground in particular as we live just by the section of the overground between South Acton and Gunnersbury. What’s more, we are now too fans of the tube. You are an excellent teller and we enjoy learning about the history and secrets of the tube while laughing at your occasional jokes👍🏼 please keep up the good work! You’re an enthusiast and it shows. Thank you for making our family time by the TV so entertaining! Snd best regards from George who might well take over from you in X years:)))))
Very interesting and helpful video Geoff, just exactly what I needed to watch at the moment, thanks. Can't believe how emotional it is, not being able to use the trains as much as we once did, felt tearful watching this, hard to come to terms with this strange world. Good to have updated news from railway staff on how they are adjusting to the conditions.
All the B-Roll sequences of you staring at trains from behind fences, reminds me of the picture of the guy visiting his dad at a care home, hes sat on the other side of his dad's window, having a chat with him via his mobile phone. ITs great that you get to share your railway passion with us, and I look forward to seeing how your content evolves during this time of uncertainty and change.
Thank you Geoff for the video!! And a big thank you to everybody working on the rail for doing their part to keep travellers safe!! Don't lose faith Geoff, all this be a distant memory soon, and something to narrate to our progeny someday...
Difficult times for one and all. Thanks for your dedication at the end of the video. The NHS and frontline have obviously taken the brunt, but there are many, many others, not immediately obvious, like railway staff, petrol station staff etc, all doing their unattractive bit to keep some sense of normality, and the rest of us may not say it, but we do appreciate it!
Thank you Geoff, this is very useful information. I hope the time passes quickly so that it doesn't feel like an age when you are allowed to get back on the trains. I enjoy watching your videos as much as you enjoy making them. I was slightly dismayed however about you not fastening your cycle helmet. I was hoping it might have been temporary for cinematic purposes so you could easily take it off for the shots but I suspect that wasn't the case. Far be it from me to tell you what/not to do but I would like to say that if it's not attached properly it doest work as well. I really like your videos so would like you to continue doing so and that might not happen if your hat falls off before your head hits something. Rant over. Wish you both very well. Take care and I look forward to your next video :D
In some respects one of your best ever videos, thought provoking and marks a time in our history where we can (hopefully) look back in 10 years and say ‘wow did we live through that?’ Echo your thoughts and well wishes to all those providing a fantastic transport service for not only our key workers but for everyone who needs it Thank you Geoff
Wonderful video! I really like how the music matches the images. I wanted to let you know that every morning I re-watch an episode of All the Stations so I have the feeling of riding the trains while eating my cereals :) Best regards to every one and stay safe!
As a Ticket office clerk at Cambridge Station, I would like to thank you for helping out by posting this video. It's so important that people who do have to travel stick to the rules put in place to make travel at this time safe and smooth. Keep up the great work and we will see you soon out on the network!
I don’t care for trains all too much but Geoff’s enthusiasm and energy towards trains makes his videos so very interesting. He’s like the boy who loved trains and grew up and still loved trains very wholesome content. Keep thriving mate.
I can empathise with your sentiment relating to rail travel being more than just a functional activity. My last day in work was the 12th of March, and as much as I commute by bike, I miss the leisure aspect of train travel - at least once a month I'd be on a train from central Scotland to the Highlands, a journey I've done 100s of times, however, one I'll never tire of. One poignant comment from the video is the phrase "the new norm", we are heading to a new norm, let's hope it's for the better. Stay safe and well, both of you and keep the videos coming I think they are therapy for both sides for the camera.
Stay safe Geoff. Thanks for presenting this. As someone who is both trying to ensure a person in my house remains shielded, but also suffering anxiety from opening back up again it is good to see the new normal and steps being put in place to help protect everyone.
Geoff watching you on your bike has made me take mine out and planning on using it to get around and get some exercise. I find myself too static at home. Thanks!
Try on a Bank Holiday! I went into uni library to study for exams last year on the May bank holiday, and I was shocked that there were only around 20 people on the usually crush loaded 17:14 service out of B'Ham Snow Hill!
Hi Geoff! I have just subscribed to your channel after watching this video. I have been watching your videos for the last ten days and I have to say that they are brilliant! They have distracted me and made me smile and I’ve been looking forward to having time in each day to sit down and watch a few of your videos! I have watched quite a lot now! I think you are a brilliant presenter and I love your passion and enthusiasm! I found this video really moving and thought provoking and I just had to comment on here. Well done! I recently watched several of your videos about least used stations and particularly enjoyed the Havenhouse in Lincolnshire one as that’s not too far from where I live! If you ever come back to Lincolnshire, please let me know because I would love to watch you film or even be in one with you! I had to laugh when you were talking about how few trains there are in Lincolnshire and how flat it is! Everyone here has to have a car! You guys are so lucky with your transport in London! You have also made me want to visit Corrour! Thank you for your videos and making me smile!
I love this video! It was really instructive but at the same time really sober and moving. I wish all the essential workers in the UK all the good they deserve. Please stay safe. Greetings from Italy.

Greetings from Cape Town, I have watched a few of your RUclips videos on London transport, I then accidentally found your USA cross country finding London tube names. They are very interesting with facts. Bought something close to my heart, that my brother and I would travel when we went to the states, and miss it now. Every chance I get, I love coming to London. Even though I am not a public transport person in South Africa due to many factors, I enjoy traveling on public transport whether in Athens, London, Paris, Istanbul or NYC. Thank you for giving tips on the London transport system...
Thanks for sharing this. I don’t know when I’ll be getting back to the UK, hopefully soon. This reminds me of all the great times I’ve had on the trains and in the stations there.
We were looking forward to a day return trip to London from Cheltenham 1st Class for a business meeting for a cool £160 (total), and then the meeting was postponed - so disappointed as we love travelling by trains. So "Thank You" Geoff for taking us on virtual trips around the UK!
Well done. Good balance of informative, entertaining and a picture of the short term new normal. Make sure after this you don't spend 57 days without going on a train ever again! Cheers Geoff!
Fantastic work as always Geoff. I totally know what you mean about going for a wonder on the network. I used to do that in London all the time and watching this has made feel homesick now that I don't live in the country. Stay safe!
Last went on a train on weekend of 15th March to Kendal, lovely weekend, like you I am really missing getting away to somewhere for a few hours of escapism. Thank you for all your hard work over the last couple of months
Thank you so much for the video. I lived in London for six months and of course, I enjoyed taking train and tubes there. Miss London every day. Take care Geoff.
I thought i was the only one that noticed that lol i see you everywhere too, here, Resorttv1, TCDL and Offhand Disney, i guess we have common interests.
Thanks for making this, Geoff. I really miss trains and traveling too. I'm from Canada and I visit the UK occasionally and definitely attracted to all the railways every time I visit. I think British trains look a lot better than Canadian ones, and thanks to my extensive research I know a lot more about British Rail than Canadian railways. Really can't wait for the pandemic to be over so I could travel again.
Thanks Geoff - that was very interesting. Living in Poland, I had no idea what was going on in the UK as far as rail travel was concerned. History now but important. Super video
Brilliant video, thank you (and GTR) for doing it. Not just in recognition of all the staff out there, but as a recording of history for when this is all over. I miss trains too :-(
I travelled on southern rail this morning going into London, for the first time in 2 months. It was so quiet! There were only 4 people in the same carriage as i was in. It is not as busy as they say.
@@RichardWatt Me too! I'm not from London, but before my trip in 2019, I did some research on how to get around, and how everything worked in advance, and Geoff came up, which is why to this day my mom still wonders why I knew so many little tricks n tips for the underground hahaha... PS: I'm from Toronto, and the TfL puts the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) to absolute shame. The TTC absolutely sucks now to me, now that I've experienced the Tube.
Nathan630pm HA Londoners complain about the TFL non stop. Guess they don’t know how good they have it, luckily with TFL they reinvest a lot so there are improvements. I don’t live in London so these videos are pretty helpful for me if I were to visit myself.
@@Horizon301. hahaha The only thing that the TTC does better is accessibility, as all of our stations are 100% straight, so there's no gaps between the train, and the platform. but if you look at this map: ttc.ca/Subway/interactive_map/interactive_map.jsp# you can see just how tiny our system is and how terrible it is for getting around AHAHAHHA
thank you Geoff for this video. i too miss travelling on the trains. i also greatly miss london! you are right about how it can make us feel. my last journey was back from exeter through london to peterborough on the 18th March after i had to cut my holiday short to get home before lockdown. i also have took to my bicycle and found myself crossing railway bridges and level crossings on my daily exercise in the country around Peterborough to watch the trains pass through on the east coast mainline. your videos help me because i get to see some of london too although only virtually it is better than not at all. i travel with my ministry as a born again Christian and have many of my christian family across the nation, my son also lives in London. i hope that soon the rail network will open up again for leisure travel because for those without private transport it is restricting. i'm blessed that the fens are flat on my bike but there's only so far i can cycle in a day! so again, thank you for your video. i'm not going to say stay safe because that premises that the world is dangerous and it isn't - trust your God given immune system - i will say stay strong as you seem sad in this video. the new normal is so abnormal and it is very sad to see it in all walks of life! God Bless!
Well done Geoff, as usual a very fair and accurate report on what is really happening. You have a great knack of getting people to be at ease and talk to you.
Geoff, since the weather has been so nice for yall lately. Why not do some segments on bike where you peruse the area around the stops (that you can readily get to)? Kind of like a "Day in the life of a commuter" type of thing??? Since traffic is lower, this might be a cool set of videos. Get up in the AM, have a coffee, jump on the bike and off to a station. Something like that?? Maybe have an interview at some other stations to get their input and thoughts on what is going on? Just some ideas because this video was brilliant. Really enjoyed it!!! I live in the US but my company is HQ'd in Farnborough so I have coworkers in FB and in Denton as well as in Dobrany in the Czech Republic as well as sales and service offices across the EU and obviously in the US. So, sending a shout out to the NHS as well as all the other critical support workers!! As well, a shout out to all my coworkers in FB, Denton and CZ who are still heading into the shop EVERY DAY to build critical machines for our customers and those in the offices who are making this all work from their new "home offices." I work for Loma Systems and we design and build inspection equipment for the food and pharmaceutical industry. We are critical infrastructure around the globe and I am proud to be a part of making sure the world has a safe and reliable food and pharmaceutical supply chain; ESPECIALLY NOW!!!!
Hello Geoff. I had been off public transit from mid-March 2020 until mid-July 2021. The city I live in has a really cool light rail line called ION that opened in 2019. I've missed it a lot during the last year and a half, but now thanks to vaccination, I can use it again to get around town. I will admit that before the pandemic, I used to just go ride ION just to get out of the house. Also, I enjoy reading a good book while riding. Cheers!
I am from Dundee and until now have never walked to the Tay Rail Bridge to see them go across as I have always been on it.... until now..... you can see the stumps from the old fallen bridge beside the new Bridge, something from 1879, that will be remembered for a very long time.....
Hi Geoff, I hail from Singapore. 🇸🇬 1:55 My last bus and train ride was March 23 2020, when my former workplace introduced the work-from-home. It would be 60 days, as of 22 May 2020. Singapore started their lockdown from 7 April 2020. And social distancing on public transport was only enacted after a few letters to the press (including mine) were published. For me, as a particularly fond person of buses, I too am very sad at what the effects of coronavirus has done. 😢I've been fortunate enough that both my parents and I are at home. So I am usually using my father's car to get the groceries and takeaways. 2:45 This speaks so much to me... Because for me, travelling on a bus is a joy! My best friend, great friends, and my relatives can testify to that. I sometimes used to wait at the bus stations to spot buses, and I myself have filmed the buses I enjoyed riding (some trains too). And I miss my bus enthusiast and bus driver friends. I showed your video to my mother, and we think you're really awesome! You are one of the RUclips channels I admire a lot, so please do take care. Also we love Ramla! She's friendly and rockin'! ☺️ As of April, it is the law to wear a mask once you are outside your home with very little exceptions. Otherwise, you will get a S$300 fine (£173) for the first offence, and S$1000 (£576) for the subsequent. No warnings given. If you guys can, wear a mask no when you step out too! It will help flatten the curve! Stay strong! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
An even more lovely report than usual, keeping us safe and we can all see you are really feeling this Geoff. Maybe to keep you and the rest of us going, you could do some videos cycling disused railways...Thank you!
Such an interesting video - much better than media sources of information of what the regular people are doing/experiencing. You don't have to wear your mask while you are cycling! :D
Interesting stuff Geoff and very nicely done - no rules broken. 👌 It's going to be fascinating to watch as more and more people get back on the trains, still observing social distancing. There's going to be some odd situations arising. Thanks for doing your bit to entertain us, a lot of folks are missing the trains (sorry, no pun intended😁) and the railway staff are doing a great job. Cheers for now, Dougie.

The ‘thank you’ message at the end is heart warming. As I work in the railway industry and is normally the last ones to be recognised for us still working to actually keep everyone that have to travel to keep hospitals, shops, police, fire, government (local or national), the railway in the whole open and available. 🙂
"I haven't been on a train in 57 days. It's a sentence I never thought I'd say!" for Geoff that is a sentence in every sense of the word
Stay safe.
James! hey dude. thx ... we'll get there slowly. Hope you're well.
Dang it Geoff, you made me shed a tear ;(
why?
Geoff, great to see you safe and well. A nice touch with the message at the end. Thanks.
As Harry Potter once said to Dumbledore;
"I like riding around trains. Takes my mind off things"
Geoff can ride around trains, he just can’t ride on them. 😘
Snd best regards from George who might well take over from you in X years:)))))
thank you Olga, very kind ... and finally, someone that laughs at my jokes!! :-)
Yay your out again. I miss the railway aswell :(
Same 😪😭😭 i wish going to london with my friends to go trainspotting.
I tried virtual trainspotting,it's not as great as IRL train spotting
@@gabri_maybe I do virtual trainspotting aswell, but you don't get the experience of the trains passing through!!
💭💀what a spooky episode
Me too ❤️😭
Wow! I really feel for you Geoff. What a situation to be in eh? Stay safe and keep healthy. Cheers from me in Australia
In some respects one of your best ever videos, thought provoking and marks a time in our history where we can (hopefully) look back in 10 years and say ‘wow did we live through that?’
Echo your thoughts and well wishes to all those providing a fantastic transport service for not only our key workers but for everyone who needs it
Thank you Geoff
Hopefully this wasn’t a bad omen this was the 666th comment 😂
Wonderful video!
I really like how the music matches the images.
I wanted to let you know that every morning I re-watch an episode of All the Stations so I have the feeling of riding the trains while eating my cereals :)
Best regards to every one and stay safe!
Haven’t been on the train for a good few months , showing the home station east Croydon and the thameslink is a comfort
Thanks Geoff
Stay safe and well, both of you and keep the videos coming I think they are therapy for both sides for the camera.
love the music! Keep up the videos, they relax me. Watching from Montana. 2020 sucks, but at least it's almost over.
Sixty Days without a Geoff train video, it's tough, thank you for posting this, much appreciated, Stay safe and Well all the best
Geoff, you can be very proud of this video beautiful videography and wonderful editing. Your heartfelt message bought a tear to my eye. Wendy x
thank you, Wendy.
I commuted to work by train all through the lockdown. Enjoyable actually, services very timely and peaceful.
I work in east croydon on one of the shops on the platforms its so heart warming to see ramla and many other station staff xx
Thanks!
Sincerity is a hard emotion to deliver, the very end shows you are that...Great Video and thanks for posting whilst tied to the leg of the table....
Great video Geoff, I really like the style and editing.
Things I never thought I'd say: "I would love to be getting on a rush hour train at East Croydon right now".. :-(
You're not kidding.
I teared up at the beginning, God I miss trains.
Loved the shots where a Southern train and a Thameslink train were racing.
I wonder who won the race? lol! keep safe and stay at home.
Can't stop watching these, so addictive.
I love this video! It was really instructive but at the same time really sober and moving. I wish all the essential workers in the UK all the good they deserve. Please stay safe. Greetings from Italy.
We are in the 21st century. The artificial intelligence age changes the lives of mankind and someday artificial intelligence will turn people into slaves or even destroy humanity. What do you think when anyone can calculate billions of calculations in 1 second, a few decades will control both the elements in the universe. And I'm trying to stop that happening by creating a machine and to do this, not only the wisdom I need more funding. Be for humanity, support me through Paypal account: CaoHoangchg@gmail.com.
“There’s a certain part of me...that actually sometimes travelling on a train is a joy in itself” YES
Thanks for sharing this. I don’t know when I’ll be getting back to the UK, hopefully soon. This reminds me of all the great times I’ve had on the trains and in the stations there.
Great to see the station manager (Ramla) take time out, for you and the viewers. Thank you!
Last 30 seconds hit home Geoff. Forever a legend great video x
Thank you for all your hard work over the last couple of months
wishing you well through this time Geoff excited for more content when lockdown is relxed
Thank you so much for the video. I lived in London for six months and of course, I enjoyed taking train and tubes there. Miss London every day. Take care Geoff.
I love to travel by train, I know lots that miss riding trains. Thank you Geoff, made me shed a few tears.
how is it that you seem to be in like every single comment section I see
I thought i was the only one that noticed that lol i see you everywhere too, here, Resorttv1, TCDL and Offhand Disney, i guess we have common interests.
I'm glad you are out, I love the railways over there. Greetings from USA
Incredibly poignant and moving video. Fantastic. Thank you, Geoff.
Thanks Geoff - that was very interesting. Living in Poland, I had no idea what was going on in the UK as far as rail travel was concerned. History now but important. Super video
This video made me smile, the positivity that u have in this video makes it very pleasant to watch!
Brilliant video, thank you (and GTR) for doing it. Not just in recognition of all the staff out there, but as a recording of history for when this is all over.
I miss trains too :-(
enjoyed the video nice to hear from the station manager and to see the precautions they have taken to protect the workers.
I travelled on southern rail this morning going into London, for the first time in 2 months. It was so quiet! There were only 4 people in the same carriage as i was in. It is not as busy as they say.
“If you’re having a bad day you can just go for a train ride” 🥺 very true
I feel like Geoff is the British, railway loving Casey Neistat. Which is why I love Geoff :D
I had to look him up although I recognised the name :)
I've learned quite a few handy tips for the trains and London underground/DLR from Geoff.
I'm jealous of you Geoff. I would love to mince about on trains and make videos about them. Maybe one day...
That was more informative, interesting and helpful than both train companies and news media. Thank you
I just wanted to say Geoff, great music choice!
thank you Geoff for this video. i too miss travelling on the trains. i also greatly miss london! you are right about how it can make us feel. my last journey was back from exeter through london to peterborough on the 18th March after i had to cut my holiday short to get home before lockdown. i also have took to my bicycle and found myself crossing railway bridges and level crossings on my daily exercise in the country around Peterborough to watch the trains pass through on the east coast mainline. your videos help me because i get to see some of london too although only virtually it is better than not at all. i travel with my ministry as a born again Christian and have many of my christian family across the nation, my son also lives in London. i hope that soon the rail network will open up again for leisure travel because for those without private transport it is restricting. i'm blessed that the fens are flat on my bike but there's only so far i can cycle in a day! so again, thank you for your video. i'm not going to say stay safe because that premises that the world is dangerous and it isn't - trust your God given immune system - i will say stay strong as you seem sad in this video. the new normal is so abnormal and it is very sad to see it in all walks of life! God Bless!
Well done Geoff, as usual a very fair and accurate report on what is really happening. You have a great knack of getting people to be at ease and talk to you.
We're British, we know how to queue. We've got this.
*London enters the chat*
Cheers Geoff, I'm managing to work from home, but my team are continuing with track renewals at Euston, and we've not lost a shift yet
Cheers!
Thanks Geoff, that was poignant and heartfelt and you spoke for many of us. Stay safe.
I miss going on the trains too, and even if it was to some obscure destination...it was an escape, and mentally rewarding
really been missing such high quality content
Incredible opening montage, Geoff. Really great video, thank you.
1:55 My last bus and train ride was March 23 2020, when my former workplace introduced the work-from-home.
As of April, it is the law to wear a mask once you are outside your home with very little exceptions.
Otherwise, you will get a S$300 fine (£173) for the first offence, and S$1000 (£576) for the subsequent. No warnings given.
If you guys can, wear a mask no when you step out too! It will help flatten the curve! Stay strong! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Trainspotting With Geoff, Episode 1
Yes, very cool shot.
Great video, great channel...let's keep you around as long as possible ay....by fastening your helmet up!
I've had 66 days of not riding on a train and being able to hear but not see them from my bedroom
Interesting stuff Geoff and very nicely done - no rules broken. 👌
It's going to be fascinating to watch as more and more people get back on the trains, still observing social distancing. There's going to be some odd situations arising.
Thanks for doing your bit to entertain us, a lot of folks are missing the trains (sorry, no pun intended😁) and the railway staff are doing a great job.
Cheers for now,
Dougie.
Nicely Done Geoff. Been missing your little Films. Ive been Camera on GMB since all this started and I'm getting a little tired !
