- I sold my custom Painted Phoenix Yellow 2017 Honda Civic Type R. For the 1st & last time I will be going though Every modification I have done to this car over the past 5 years.

Man, It's been 5 years already?! I remember being in the honda dealer buying one of the first 10th gen Si's in Sept 2017 and seeing the WAY OVER STICKER dealer mark up on the 2 Type-R's in the showroom, which were BRAND SPANKING NEW, with the price tag of $65K on each! - Are they still selling for over sticker? I see MANY type-R's on the road now (which is great bc when I want a 10th gen there will be plenty to choose from! LOL) - Wonder what this one sold for?! Esp in this CRAZY market!
In January, local dealer had the last CTR and quoted me $42k. It sold the very next day
I ended up waiting and getting the 11th gen Si
There is a type r LE in Tennessee going for 73k 😂🤣

Immense build!
With 10th and 11th Gen Chassis, weight mod is by far the most important upgrade. Reducing and shifting up-front agrees with the light curb weight.

This is a actually incredible sir! I’m a huge Honda fan and this has got to be one of the best modded type R’s I’ve seen. Very well taken care of. Wish it could of been me who became the new owner haha. Unfortunately being 22 I could never afford something that nice. You just gained a new subscriber! I get it makes sense as the Honda ambassador to update to the newer model, but I like this gens styling so much more than the newer hatch inside and out.
I agree and it was not an easy decision
You need glasses then, so did the man that designed this one as it's a mess of fake plastic vents. New one is much classier, but, I respect we are all made differently.

The only thing I don't like that you did to this car is the wiper delete. I don't know if those will leak in 20+ years like the integra's but that's such a useful feature!

I sold mine today too. I know how you feel. Our builds were very similar. 80% of my build was HKS though.
Why did you sell yours?
@@eternallogic6394 The first reason is to get as much of a return from it as I could. The second reason is because of what is happening in the real world - GAS PRICES. Other than that, I needed something that I could load all my camping gear in. So I went CR-V.
How many miles and what did you let the car go for?

You had me at carbon. You lost me at deletes. That engine bay tho! That car is fire!
Hey Jason, just wondering if you ever encountered an issue where the clutch makes buzzing sound fully depressed above 4-5k rpm? Whenever I go WOT and decide to shift around 4-5k rpm, the clutch vibrates a lot and buzzes when fully depressed.
i have not had that issue. Are you running a stock clutch?
@@HondaProJason yeah, stock clutch. I tried pressing the clutch a bit more smoothly at WOT and the issue was not as prominent as when I would bang through gears. I’m guessing it’s clutch related
@@HondaProJason maybe an aftermarket or the retrofit type r cmc and clutch would do the trick

I was always on edge between an S3 and fk8... 11gen feels like it has that clean look I loved from the S3 without all that luxury crap I don't care about.
