Hi, Denise. Another way I insert pauses that allow people a little extra time to process what is being said is to insert mentally, a comma before each prepositional phrase. If there is a sequence of prepositional phrases, the first prepositional phrase is introduced by a pause while the subsequent prepositional phrases are introduced by shorter pauses. This doesn't sound choppy but provides a bit of emphasis on the prepositional phrases, which are usually deserving of emphasis because, actually, that's what they are theref or, to emphasize particulars.
I just recently started being a lector at my Church. And I have done only about three. So I am still learning on how to make it work smoothly. But I still forget to breathe properly.

Loved this video! You remind me of my 10th grade English teacher who had such a passion for teaching. Thanks again.
Thanks for the lesson.
