My problem is when I enter the frequency of the FM stations, there is only a very low noise similar to a tic..tic and nothing else, the radio instead in vhf that in uhf works regularly. What can you do?
@@OnTheMicwithMike thank you for the reply. Sucks, my one gripe with the uv5r too.... And how short the names are, but also know hams in my area use the number over name anyway...
The 88-108 mhz FM radio does not work, I enter the frequency, but the radio remains silent. Does it work for you? Maybe there is something to do in the programming?
Hi Giovanni, thanks for the reply, my problem is that it causes the FM station frequency to be entered, but when listening there is only a very low noise that seems like a tick and nothing else, while the radios are in vhf and uhf it works regularly.
Hello! I bought this radio but I am disappointed for a few things. 1) Programming software is not complete. It requires a code for certain functions and I can't program two memory buttons just below PTT. At now the first is a monitor button (Squelch OFF) and second ... I don't know! 2) I Can't use keyboard DTMF tones: if I am not wrong Echolinks repeaters requires it. 3) I can't send 1750 tone in any way. That's a shame because I really like the look of this radio with a different display rather than the usual baofeng ...
Hello Giovanni! Did you make any progress? I too would like to be able to program the two side buttons. Some other Zastone radios have the same button layout and there's an option in the software to program them.
Their website seems to still be down so I can not download the software. Do you know where someone can get it other than from their website? Maybe you could provide a link to the copy you downloaded? I can host it if you drop me a line. I would REALLY appreciate it.
@@OnTheMicwithMike I have a AN/PRC-152 I got from ebay, it's a replica, but the manual doesn't explain anything. Do I just turn it on and try to type in a frequency to connect to a channel?

I absolutely LOVE that start up tone .. a new ringtone for me I think lol - Nice review Mike :)
That’s a great idea lol!
Nice review Mike. Enjoyed the summary too - comparing to the Baofeng. 73
Thanks Tim :)
Mike1074 DX also great to see your channel has grown and you’ve broken 400 subs, nice one mate.
Hi mate, I'd blame the meter for the lack of power, I have the same one and they're unreliable. I'd say that radios putting out a good 5 watts.
Hiya Lewis, I’ll connect up a proper analogue meter and check it then. Thanks for the heads up :)
Hi friend. The cable programming is baofeng?
Transmit volume is extremely low on mine, almost unusable
Hey everyone,
New link to download the software in the description.

Does the manual or radio indicate that it has high/medium and low selectable output power? Appreciate your review. Thanks.
The manual as you can imagine is poor, it shows the basics.
Power setting just two options it shows, high and low.
Thanks for watching,

Hello .. can you help me with programming software. The website not working.
Love the repeater name is not limited for 5 or 6 characters...
Can the channel names be editted, from the menu, or is it strictly from the software?
The channel names can only be named or edited later on by the software unfortunately.

Hello my dear friend,
Could you tell me if this great looking radio is able to RX the airband on AM mode?
Thank you
Hi there,
Afraid not. It does not cover the AM Airband at all. It only covers 136-174mhz and 400-480mhz and and FM mode only.
Thanks.

What would you be wanting to use on it? The software is pretty straightforward to use. Thanks.
