  • Gimp: a method to select and/or cut out a furry object or short hair and replace the background.
    Gimp 2.8.22 standard - Windows 10
    👉👉👉NOTE FOR GIMP 2.10 USERS: 1- Free select tool: press enter or double click in the selected area to make the selection. 2- To sharpen the selection, use filters, enhance and sharpen. Use the amount slider. 3- To blur: Adjust the gaussian blur values to your liking. 👈👈👈
    Click on the CC button at the bottom of the video for English subtitles. Or click on ⚙️ settings, subtitles, auto-translate, choose your language. Sorry for my 'home made' English 😉

      As you can probably tell I am a beginner at this post processing stuff. If you get time I really need a tutorial on how fix a blown out sky by either replacing it or darkening it without affecting the rest of the picture. regards Bill

      Hi Bill.🙂 Thanks for your post. I am afraid that such a tutorial is not coming soon... sorry about that!😔 But I did place the subject on my 'to do list'. How to fix a blown out sky depends very much on the total characteristics of the image, but I have used the search engine of youtube and there are several tuts on how to fix a similar problem in Gimp.
