EDIT: 2022, I currently upgraded to the 1.5R and running a Type R retrofit clutch from Eman (NaPerformance) 2021 Driving durability is close to OEM, Little to no lag, Smooth throughout the rpm range but at wide open throttle (WOT) it moves, 2nd and 3rd gear is where it shines the most, It doesn’t fall on its face at redline anymore, I never WOT under 3000rpm to preserve the clutch and not to stress the engine too much I’ll be updating as time progresses since I’ll be racking up mileage quickly in this car. A lot of people don't understand how much strain hitting a lot of boost in a higher gear puts on the clutch/engine. I feel like that's the main reason for a lot of engine/clutch failures in these 10th gens
I have same tune on a stock 19 Si. Map 1 is chill and I always drive in it. MAp 2 is nice lil more boost nothing crazy. Map 3 the car will spool quicker, and pull much more aggressive therefore much quicker. In map 3 the car always wants to hit boost , while in lower maps you can stay out of boost pretty easily which helps save gas.
@@HadEnough745 you can still pass emissions with off the shelf tunes on a stock car, you don’t have enough done and the exhaust isn’t open enough to release the hydrocarbons they look for
I love how you modify yours cars without doing too much. This one is nice and classy. i liked your 8th gen but your 10th gen is looking just right! My brother got a 2013 1.8 ( yes it's not fast at all) but it's fun with the intake and the exhaust. Also it looks nice on 17 inches wheels and lowering springs. The civic dont deserve to be seen as a ''ricer car'' since it's a nice and practical car that is fun on a backroad.

Hey be careful with leaving the ktuner unit plugged in! Some people out there just see shiny metal in a car and will bust your window! Window costs a lot more than a ktuner.
Do you think you would need an upgraded clutch with this tune (1.5) or do you think stock clutch would be perfectly fine with this tune? Currently, my car is stock, but I am getting a Greddy DD-R exhaust once it's shipped from the vendor. I am considering getting KTuner and having a map 1 tune on it, but want to know about the clutch.
The clutch WILL wear out eventually. Faster tuned than stock. To say how much idk because everyone has different driving habits. I’m pretty much ready for a new clutch for when it does but some ppl go 50k tuned with stock clutch and some ppl go out at 10k stock.. it’s really a hit or miss

I put it back on with this tune. Rev hang off sucked cuz it “jerked” too much. Once I went custom tuning I did rev hang off again and it was so much better.
Ktuner comes with OTS (Off the shelf) tunes and then there’s TSP (two step performance) and Phearable tunes. They both make “stage 1” tunes where they take OTS tunes to another level. Rev hang can be eliminated with just ktuner but if you buy ktuner from either website (TSP or Phearable) you’ll get their stage 1 tune for free.
Yes it’s fine on the regular 1.5 tune It says so on their website But to do the 1.5R they say 93 minimum or 91 with a gallon of E to make up for the octane The 1.5R is a little more aggressive timing so it needs “better fuel” basically
I hear that smog stations can now detect when a computer has been tampered with, which will not pass. Is that true? It's one of the reasons why I haven't flash mine. Can someone verify this?
New cars don’t need to be smogged for about 5 years later. When it comes down to smog either pay someone to pass you for like $400 or put everything back to stock (which isn’t hard in these cars) including the tune.
Dealerships can also detect and will void your warranty! Also do not delete driving data since the dealerships can detect that also. My buddie blew his Type R motor and deleted driving data and dealership voided his warranty, he paid 28K for a new motor!

For example, I just did the k tuner to my car today and did the dual, 19.5 psi in normal and 25 psi in sport, and with the k tuner you can get map 1,2,3 or you need to tuned with something else I don’t understand that really well
I’m not on the ktuner tunes I’m on the Phearable tune Ktuner has their own tunes provided by them but I have the ones from Phearable that use ktuner as a tuning solution

@@edraslopez828 you can do the Phearable tune whenever you want in all honesty It works with stock parts but also does better FBO. And about the v6 comment, it’s a civic lol. You’ll be somewhat faster than stock but nothing to be trying to race everything. Just enjoy it for what it has to offer.

Just got my si and stock is already so fun specially in the canyon where I drive the most. Going up and down big bear is such a adrenaline rush.
Get some summer tires miheallen sport 4s. it makes it even wayyyy better without a tune.
I have same tune on a stock 19 Si.
Map 1 is chill and I always drive in it.

I love my phearable tune also. Went from ktuner to tsp to this, and its been well tuned so far on my cvt for 20k

They don’t stack, you can change them by just reflashing them. Each tune has 3 maps with different boost levels.

Highly doubt it. Most Smog checks only check the computer for a pre-smog to check the emissions-related components are functioning.

does the tune only work if sport is on or is that not how it works?
“Sport mode” doesn’t change the amount of psi the tune makes the turbo push with this tune.
