EDIT: 2022, I currently upgraded to the 1.5R and running a Type R retrofit clutch from Eman (NaPerformance)
    2021
Driving durability is close to OEM,
    Little to no lag,
Smooth throughout the rpm range but at wide open throttle (WOT) it moves,
2nd and 3rd gear is where it shines the most,
It doesn’t fall on its face at redline anymore,
I never WOT under 3000rpm to preserve the clutch and not to stress the engine too much
I’ll be updating as time progresses since I’ll be racking up mileage quickly in this car.
    Stay safe 🤙🏼

@@IsaacPoopsAlot I have same tune on a stock Si. The tune disables revhang. But if you click the cruise control button (but not have cruise control set to a speed) it will engage rev hang.
BUt if you don't have the cruise control on then there is no rev hang.

A lot of people don't understand how much strain hitting a lot of boost in a higher gear puts on the clutch/engine. I feel like that's the main reason for a lot of engine/clutch failures in these 10th gens

I have same tune on a stock 19 Si.
Map 1 is chill and I always drive in it.
MAp 2 is nice lil more boost nothing crazy.
Map 3 the car will spool quicker, and pull much more aggressive therefore much quicker. In map 3 the car always wants to hit boost , while in lower maps you can stay out of boost pretty easily which helps save gas.

I love how you modify yours cars without doing too much. This one is nice and classy. i liked your 8th gen but your 10th gen is looking just right! My brother got a 2013 1.8 ( yes it's not fast at all) but it's fun with the intake and the exhaust. Also it looks nice on 17 inches wheels and lowering springs. The civic dont deserve to be seen as a ''ricer car'' since it's a nice and practical car that is fun on a backroad.

Currently, my car is stock, but I am getting a Greddy DD-R exhaust once it's shipped from the vendor. I am considering getting KTuner and having a map 1 tune on it, but want to know about the clutch.

    • @TdaKid
      @TdaKid  3 года назад +1

Ktuner comes with OTS (Off the shelf) tunes and then there’s TSP (two step performance) and Phearable tunes. They both make “stage 1” tunes where they take OTS tunes to another level. Rev hang can be eliminated with just ktuner but if you buy ktuner from either website (TSP or Phearable) you’ll get their stage 1 tune for free.

Yes it’s fine on the regular 1.5 tune

But to do the 1.5R they say 93 minimum or 91 with a gallon of E to make up for the octane
The 1.5R is a little more aggressive timing so it needs “better fuel” basically

    • @jimmypena2442
