Great, video! I bought this unit and the reviews scorned this trimmer head and everybody stated getting a quick feed to replace it. I had the similar manual loading cartridge on my 21 year old Stihl that this Makita replaces and while not amazingly convenient, it was never a huge issue either. BTW, the left hand and right hand has nothing to do with your dominant hand, but whether the shaft of the trimmer spins clockwise or counter-clockwise. This model spins counter-clockwise or to the left hand side.
Theres plenty of videos with this style spool, still haven't found one with my style notch in the center, how annoying of makita switching up the styles and no having a video on mine 😩 I appreciate your video still!
Oh my gosh you’re a lifesaver! Recently divorced and like learning new things but this was kicking my butt. Thank you!

Only video I have found to explain this version of the weed whacker. Thank you.

Thank you, sir.
Your video is a huge help.
Thanks...you made it easy for me
I'm stuck on the cap removal, no clue how to get it off
Force the indents with a flat head
Left and right has nothing to do with your handedness. Its the direction the motor spins. I think these makitas spin left
