    Yes, I would love to see you fix more of these. Any fault finding videos are welcome regardless of the equipment. I always learn something in every one of your videos. Thank you very much for your time!

    Enjoy to see how you can use electronic repair experience in a universal way and apply it on a wide range of products. Great educational videos.

      Yes, once you learn these skills you can apply them to most repairs - even if you are not familiar with the thing you are trying to repair. One of my favourite sayings is 'well yeah, why not, at the end of the day it's just electronics'

    Amazing diagnoses and detailed working of ohms mode and usage. Friction is the answer to the question of untangling. Once the wires are tangled there is too much friction to untangle themselves. Great video Rich, i learned a lot. Thanks mate.

    • @LearnElectronicsRepair
      @LearnElectronicsRepair  2 года назад +1

      Thank you. Though I keep math off the channel most of the time, ohms law is the one thing you really need to know and I will continue to teach here when it is relevant😉 Regards the non-untangling wires is this a bit like entropy?
      This makes me think of Prof. Brian Cox - in the 90s he was a member of a band called D:Ream who had a massive hit with a song called 'Things can Only Get better' and in latter years, it seems, thanks to the law of entropy he went on to prove that 'Things can only get Worse!' Now *there* is some serious karma for you

      @@LearnElectronicsRepair Its really simple to learn and it should be 101 for everyone that has any interest in circuits of any kind. Hes a good dude, the band was ok lol. Are tangled wires entropic by nature.. I would say no. Entropy cannot be reversed its a one way system. They do go from ordered to disordered but can go back to ordered. The energy they used to get tangled was caused by movement, further movement may cause the entropy to increase or decrease of course as the wire is a single object. Given enough movement they can resume a low entropy state.

    If you look when you plugged the power in and move one frame at a time (the < > buttons) yo see a spark fly out of the cap ! its only 1 frame in length and a few more frames on the magic smoke appears. Great tutorial.....cheers,

    Hi again. I have 2 3010D power supplies. At 1 volt I can only get .1 or .2 amps. Lower voltage and I am lucky to get .1. No heat at these low amperage's. I saw you put 5 amps into a video card at .8 volts in a video. What would you suggest, get a different power supply? Suggestions??? Thanks, amtpdb.

    This helps make sense of the phone call the other day 😉

    • @LearnElectronicsRepair
      @LearnElectronicsRepair  2 года назад +1

      No it doesn't actually because the phone call was a bar and they use official satellite receivers with subscriptions because A: they are more reliable (don't need internet) and B: because they are about 30 seconds ahead of anyone using something like this - so they see the goal (if it is footy) and all their customers cheer a long time before anyone in the next door cheapskate bar sees it. Guess where all the customers end up? Then guess what the next door bar has to buy to keep his customers? Actually as you have a fascination with it the guy who called me during the other video wanted an Irish Sky official subscription - and there is nothing wrong with moving goods and services form one EU country to another, in fact the right to do so is enshrined in EU law 😉

      @@LearnElectronicsRepair the wink was a wind up...no fascination, just healthy inquisitiveness and seemingly bad humour.
      Thanks for wasting your precious time to respond though.
      Regarding the IPTV stuff, I watch lots of clips on RUclips of NHL goals, hits and fights and there have been comments alluding to the official NHL subscription source intentionally introducing lag on their own stream just so people watching it on an unofficial IPTV stream complain to their host/reseller. Sounds like a bad business move because by all accounts it’s frustrating people paying them full whack for the official subscription stream.

    no boot with both leds lit on eth port indicate failure at early bootloader/initialization stage on most broadcom and many other socs, that 25q032 spi flash is storing the bootloader, good intuition. you should be able to read it with ch341a programmer

    • @LearnElectronicsRepair
      @LearnElectronicsRepair  2 года назад

      Actually I just ordered a CH341A with 1.8V adapter this week as I have a Medion laptop here that has a BIOS password locking it, and because the embedded SSD is corrupted it will not boot to an OS or from USB, nor can I get into the BIOS.
      My TL866CS will not program 1.8V Eproms and the Medion BIOS has exactly that. As a plus side I will also be able to use the CH341A 1.8V adapter with my TL866 🙂
      If it will program the 25Q03213 that would be a big bonus
      I'm a bit concerned about the Core reading lower resistance on that box, but I'll definitely give it a go

    I think the flux crystalizes and forms a shield around the unsoldered components. Thats my reasoning to why you couldnt read the short on the capacitor when you took it off. I sometimes have the same issue

    When cables are manufactured they get stored on cable drums, all wrapped around, so the wires have a tendency to want to wrap themselves around again - kinda like a memory effect

    I wish you'd do some of your video cards with cheap video cards. I'm trying to learn from start to finish on video cards and I can't afford to purchase expensive video cards to wreck them. I don't mind messing up three or four or five or six cheaper cards but when you pay 10 bucks a piece for a card that's okay but $100 a card is not doable.
