5:00 true true true. Having travelled a lot through LATAM / the Caribbean, rarely do I come across English. Of course I’m fine with this, I prefer not to actually.
Hi..respected madam....you make amazing videos related to topics on Latin America..i arm from India and i am very much interested in moving to Peru since long time..so please I request you to make one detail video on digital nomad Visa requirements in Peru and few other countries in Latin America..i just few hours back came across your channel and I have almost completed watching more than ten videos and I really liked the way of your explanation...God bless you..thank you so much..
Habitual lateness is not to me a cultural matter. It is a disrespect for the appointment's other party. Once in a while would be understandable. Otherwise, I don't care, LatAm or any other place, it is a disrespect and unacceptable.
@@J.Hammond Precisely bc I know the sense she is using it is that I object to her mistake of implying Latam is not part of the 'western world'. Predominantly influenced by European culture, Christianism, Capitalism, etc. In addition to being in the Western Hemisphere if that is what you mean.
@@guillesrl7569 As someone who's lived for 5 years in Europe and visited most Latam countries, there's absolutely nothing European about the culture in South America. Completely different cultures in every way.
@@guillesrl7569 They are, but those aren't the particular aspects that make up what people generally think of as more "Western" countries. You're using a a literal geographical definition of "West" whereas I'm using a cultural one. Take Poland for example, they're geographically central European but culturally they're nearly 100% "Eastern European", despite them not liking being called that, life is extremely similar to life in Ukraine and Russia (I spent multiple years in all 3 of those countries). I wouldn't define Poland as "central European" as that makes you think of more Germany and the Netherlands, to which Poland is not similar.
It is difficult to describe life in an entire continent conpared to Smerica in a 10 minute video. Better to focus on individual cou tries that obey knows well, not just refer to ‘LatAm’ as one region. For instance, souhern cone countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile) are very different to nearby neighours like Paraguay and Bolivia in many ways. Buenos Aires actually has one of first and most efficient in the world.
Why does this report talk as if talking to 5th graders? Oh thanks for telling us which months are Winter in the Southern Hem. and telling us that the language is Spanish.
Interesting video! You presented a lot of new information for me to think about regarding Latin America.

Do you just make videos all day while on vacation?
Did you change the name of your channel? What happened to Work, Wealth and Travel?
Yes we did. Work wealth and travel is now the blog for those interested in living in LatAm.
@@worldwisecapitalOk. Thanks for clarifying that.

It’s cultural. In America people will show up on time and still not be competent or fail to comply task anyway.
From a western country to Latin America? Dude Latam is part of the western world
Technically every country is western compared to another. You know what people mean by “Western” in this sense that she’s using it.
