lol Denzel is a great actor but my lord he is not god level like you’re making him out to be.

All right, okay. So you want to talk about Denzel, is that right? You want to talk about Denzel Washington? My man!

A man as genuine as they come.
Absolute Acting GOAT! Still my favorite actor all these years later. Love him!
Imagine him as Kang The Conquerer or Dr. Doom... Nah, we don't deserve that brilliance.
I really enjoyed his character from Fences do watch it the ending is just perfect.
His record from playing Malcolm X in The "Chickens Come Home" to Roost in the 60s on PBS to "A Soldiers Story" to "Macbeth".... he literally at the level of Richard Widmark and Kirk Douglas playing heroes and villains with equal plausibility.
He also paid the College fees of Chadwick Boseman. Even though Chad never even mentioned it to him.
NiCE
He has this ability to make any line seem utterly natural to the character, where it’s not just words anymore, but the sound of the character. The effect is hypnotic, magnetic-a scary level of charisma. I’ve seen several actors achieve it in their best roles, but it is exceedingly rare to do it every single time!
What he did in Steve Biko was phenomenal, he’s accent sounded like Steve’s aswell, his mannerisms as well were exactly like the real life Steve Biko
Every...single...time

"forgiveness is between them and God. It's my job to arrange a meeting" is one of the HARDEST lines i done ever heard in my life!
It still would be immoral in most cases to be spoken by anyone other than a just judge but the line does hit hard
Man on Fire 🔥 I recently watched it again with my wife and man oh man is it amazing!
@@takahashi2852 Immoral and illegal aren't the same.
@@Fermion. I know, it's also immoral to "arrange a meeting" if it wasn't self defense and you are not a legal authority who has sufficient evidence and cause to "arrange that meeting"

One of my all time favorite films!
I'll never get over the fact that he didn't win the Oscar for "Malcolm X".
IKR! 🤘🏽🫡
Absolutely robbed
I guess the reason is because the subject he played: Malcolm X.
@@Q44bs back then democrat supporters and children of former kkk members were still hollywoods top elite. oh wait they still are
Yeah, the heck with Al Pacino's Scent of a Woman. Denzel should've gotten that year.
The man has been with the same woman for over 40 years. And they still seem happy. I know that’s nothing to do with his acting. But he’s one of the least dramatic actors in his personal life.
None of your business
@@alatusedits took it personal on Denzel's behalf, fucking parasocial loser
Yeah i agree, most actors/actresses would almost always have drama in their marriage, like cheating/divorce here and there as if it's a trend 😅
Or maybe he's just a very good actor
@@redsentry9785or maybe he knows when to act and when to not , draw a line. Most actors don't get that and Denzel is NOT one of em kid .
Title could either be a huge compliment or insult LMAO
Any sentence with DENZEL in it is a compliment

What? It's Denzel man, that would never be an insult
Denzel is one of those rare celebrities that is an absolute master of his craft, while keeping his personal life and demeanor completely grounded.
He is completely respectable whether we're talking about his acting or his person. One of my favorite actors!
He's the *G.O.A.T* there will be only one Denzel
Whoever wrote Equalizer 3 sure as hail earned that paycheck. Price of admission was easily worth even 1 or 2 specific scenes in that movie
Especially the Italian scenes....
You understand what happens now?
I understand weakness. I understand pain. I understand death. I understand suffering. And because of these people, I'm starting to understand peace. You can't take that away from me. God is my witness, you're not gonna take it away from them. so do you understand? That's the question.
I understand I can take anything I want.
Since you can take anything you want, take me. Here I am. Here I am. Take me.
i fuckin loved this movie even though i never saw the first two. felt like a continuation of Man on Fire, in fact Dakota Fanning is what made me think of that movie while watching this one. crazy how it's 20 years old at this point
That movie sucked imo
That's why you liked this one 😂😂 compared to part 1 this one is a downgrade@@Acusumano25
Was it really that good? I loved the original, but the sequel felt kinda flat to me.
My favorite line from Denzel Washington is in one of the Equalizer movies.
“The mistake you made is that you killed my friend. So I’m going to kill each and every one of you, and the only disappointment in it for me is that I only get to do it once.”
The cold way he did that whole monologue in front of their families too, a true power move.

Am I the only person who ever remembers “The Preacher’s Wife”? I know he doesn’t really do a lot of comedy and it’s more of a lighthearted role anyway, but everyone always shows these clips from these incredibly serious and intense films and then it looks like that’s all he can do. If you love Denzel Washington go watch his Dudley.
That was the first Denzel movie I ever watched. Excellent work. Made me a lifelong fan.
This is a classic movie for the black community.
With Whitney Houston, Jennifer(forget her last name but she always plays some1 mama).
The soundtrack was always played during Christmas
I was an extra during the ice skating part! I met both Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston. Denzel Washington was genuinely so nice and gracious. Whitney on the other hand....😂🤷🏾♀️
@@brandi5448 a diva lol. Amazing experience for you tho !
@@Basedbeauty3a diva for sure 😂 She was so beautiful and talented that she could be a diva and everyone still loved her!
When I was a teen my dad and I went through Denzel's entire filmography, I think that awakened my love of cinema
Can you recommend some good ones? Ones that me and my parents can watch together.

Man on Fire, great too.

I said years ago, can you imagine being someone in Hollywood throwing a party and this happens?
“Sir? Mr Denzel Washington has arrived.”
“WHAT? Denzel Washington? Oh my go… okay. We need to get rid of all liquor and beer. Run out by the most expensive wine we can afford. Turn off that dance music! Put on some Vivaldi. This party is not classy enough for Denzel! We need candles! If anyone doesn’t have a suit… give them one!”
“My job to arrange the meeting” so tuff😭
I remember thinking how amazing he was in that cup of tea seen in the last equalizer. Such a run of the mill movie and he makes a masterpiece out of drinking a cup of tea and talking to someone. 🙏
The 2 greatest villainous roles ever on film are Denzel in Training Day, and Daniel Day Lewis in Gangs of New York.
Denzel in Training Day is GOATed
Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal is up there too
Daniel Day Lewis in "There will be Blood" is definitely one of the greatest villain roles OAT
@@HARIHaran-ks7wpdaniel day Lewis is one of the few actors I would put up there with Denzel, just a shame he's pickier than a toddler with a plate of veggies. He just doesn't do movies unless he thinks the movie is worth it, which is most of them haha!
@@hamiham32for my money, Daniel is the greatest actor who ever lived
I love ignorant people who call him a bad actor just because he isn't a method actor. Like, no, you don't have to "transform" completely to be a good actor. He properly conveys all of the emotions and mannerisms appropriate for the scene and character. People think that's easy only when they haven't done any serious acting themselves...
Don’t forget about us little guys when you make it big!
Denzel The 🐐
100%, I don't care what a movie is about if Denzel is in it I'm watching it.
I’ve always loved Denzel Washington, he melts into his character, he lives them, he becomes them. Recently I watched Equalizer 3. Being not really into actions movies I was hesitant but daaaamn! The movie was great and Denzel SHINED
You can see his commitment to each character in each movie, because he doesn't waste a second of screen time without giving the viewer something, whether it's anger, arrogance, confusion, fear, lust, or whatever we need to know.
Another great vid from Renzy. People are sleeping on this chanel. Nice work!
the scene of the russian gangster bar is so excellent for the reason we never saw his character do anything violent before,
if you would watch equalizer the first time you cannot know what he is capable of
and in the end he is as shocked as we are, because he broke his promise and went back to his old self
and the audience is shocked because the scene is so brutal, fast and intense.
Denzel is one of the only actors who can elevate an otherwise average movie to the status of a classic, always such a commanding presence on screen. I think that is part of what makes him the greatest leading man in the history of cinema.
Bravo! Nice tribute to the greatest actor of all time… or at least my favorite next to Samuel L. Jackson. He deserves one of these from you too…
"King Kong ain't got shit on me."
"I'll tear your family apart, piece by piece."
"For out of the ground we were taken, for the dust we are... and to the dust we shall return."
"Forgiveness Is Between Them And God. It's My Job To Arrange The Meeting."
Great lines by a great actor. Seeing him and Dakota reunite in another movie years after Man on Fire..
Fallen was my favorite movie growing up. It was so suffocating and in your face. Denzel is a master of his craft.
The first movie i saw Denzel in was Crimson Tide, and what a way to be introduced to him. Fantastic performances by everyone involved, and quite the dilemma the film proposes. The verbal sparring matches between him and Gene Hackman were captivating
He keeps getting robbed of an Oscar, who cares anyway, he's way beyond that
The complicatedly painful and furious glare he gave in Glory as his character was being whipped was one of the first experiences I had with how well he acted. It affected me as a kid when I saw it aired on TV, even though I couldn't quite express the sentiment in words until I was older.
9:44 That's the acknowledgement of the movie I was waiting for! Show some love to the Bone Collector, celebrating its 25th anniversary this November! But oh well, no Star Wars prequel therefore no reason to talk about it. It's like the anniversary doesn't really matter. Sorry, went off track
i have never been disappointed in any of Denzel Washington's performances!
Denzel's a legend, man. I've loved every movie he's been in. I don't think he can be in a bad movie, and even if he is in one, he makes it at least decent. I honestly don't know why more Hollywood movies go for Theatre actors. Like, some just don't fit the look, I suppose, but... Then you just turn to them and tell them to get into some theatre acting. Even if its not for money, its just good experience and knowledge.
Most recently Lalo in Better Call Saul but Alonzo in Training Day had the smiling wolf villain archetype that is rare in film
Fences is one of his best work. A masterpiece. Saying in a low voice tone, very subtle, how fathers sometimes can ruined the family harmony by their subborn characters. Loved it
Completely missed the point of the movie 😂
@@unyieldingrage1389 you have trouble reading what I just wrote.
I always admired Denzel's acting but Training Day really blew me away! It made me go back through his filmography and discover so much more in his roles that I haven't noticed before. He is one of a kind, for sure.
Sir Christopher Lee also gave the wisdom of starting out in theater, as he did the same thing. Sometimes I dream about acting, but I know my youth is better spent helping people instead.
Every time I watch a Denzel Washington action picture, I get scared of him. He feels like an unstoppable force capable of moving an immovable object with his will.
Man is an absolute legend
If i could see Denzel Washington in every movie that exists i wouldn't mind it... one of the greatest actors ever i feel sad every time i see him getting old knowing at some point this legend won't bless us with his marvelous acting...
It's one of the very few actors that whenever I see his name I already get the popcorn because it's going to be good!
I think people should go back and watch virtuosity,Denzel washington and Russell Crowe first time working together, that movie is so underrated! Most people don't even know about virtuosity
Denzel and Leo should have about 10 Oscars each between the two of them.
The title of this video is already worth a subscription.
He one of those actors, other actors will continue to be compared to. He’s that good. And Smart enough to know he doesn’t need social media, he lets his acting speaks for itself. Put on that commencement speech he gave a couple years ago, he came across as a likable, flawed, real person. He’s definitely one of the top, top actors of my lifetime. 💯 great job on the video too!

I appreciate that! I was on vacation so I'm behind on the uploads, but we're back to regularly scheduled programming :D
Best actor ever. My favorite actor by far
I don’t know if I’ve ever agreed with a video title more.
Yeah he’s one of the best to ever do it. And he doesn’t need to go all method actor to get it done either
the King has returned
ah yes , , the art of pretending to be someone you're not & adore by millions , , weird huh ?
I wish more black men and women strived to be more like Denzel. He’s a great role model.
Everyone is their own person not robots
This is going to sound incredibly naive, but I really do fail to understand why we can't just throw money at people like Jack Black or Denzel Washington, and just let them cook. I feel like whatever creative vision they have is probably going to be infinitely more interesting than reboot sequel #147 that some hollywood excecutive is trying to ram down our throats.
Equalizer series trully was eye opening for me. Its not that he is a hero, he is far past a redeeming point. All he does is a effort to his late wife. Later and only then he again found peace and he defeated his demons. Masterpices of cinema
i recommend you watch Man on Fire
@@model84 i did. It was awesome
American Gangster is the only movie that in my country came in the newspapers, leading to Bi/Millionaires, public figures, and even politicians went to watch it as a publicity stunt... Yet the Oscar he got was for Training Day. 🙄
What country are you speaking about?
Never fully appreciated his skills before I watched the 2004 Manchurian Candidate remake a couple of years ago. The climactic scene at the kindergarten where he’s trying to bring Liev Schreiber out of his brainwashing broke me. So much faith, conviction, history, and love conveyed in one scene alone. Now I’m obsessed
Hands down my favorite actor by a long shot. If not just the best PERIOD.
This is the kind of channel one has interest in hearing more about
I feel the same way about jk Simmons after watching whiplash
great video, i deadass cried at the end of fences, i thought the last two minutes or so were a little too much with the clouds and shit but the song being sang and his son oh my god. denzel was so good in that shit. you have a playlist for the music you use?
A person who keeps God first is always bound to have tremendous talent
Love Denzel when I was young I had Training day on VHS. Watched it alot. Such a great actor and knowledgable in real life too.
I appreciate this video! I feel he doesn't get enough praise.
Need to do this for Mads Mikkelsen's Hannibal Lecter. Man can radiate danger without moving a muscle.
This was incredible. Thank you for the insight and perspective!
Denzel Washington is the greatest actor of all time.
Fun fact: he had the ending of training day changed because he wanted to display his death the same way he was in life, a slithering snake, same way he dies, a slithering snake rejected by everyone and trying his best to escape
best actors are those who started acting in theater. its one take or bust. that's how you know an actor is good. denzel is by far the best actor I've watched.
There has never been a more apt thumbnail than this one. GREAT job
Every time I see Denzel in a movie nowdays I can't get his Fences character out my head. He killed that role.
Did you watch Flight? His actions didn’t kill anyone. He’s was just legally and morally wrong in his actions.
I see Only Hindi Dubbed Denzel movies Like Training Day, Fallen, The little things, the bone Collector but all performance Outstanding
american gangster is absolutely peak
The video title is hella Two Face 😂😆 no 🧢
Shout out to you for giving Denzel the spotlight that he has ALWAYS deserved
This video made have even more respect for Denzel Washington acting and his delivery range expression etc.
I live Denzel Washington.
He's not my favourite actor though.
No.
My favourite actor of all time is Mr. Sidney Poitier.
I wish Denzel was from this generation..... Dude needs to be making more movies
This is gold, thank you. It allowed me to think about the range of this actor, which I love and admire. And not even for his most valuable movies, no. Quite the opposite.
Nevertheless I understood something about him and my enjoyment habits towards him, which I can now verbalise and therefore explore, at last! It is obvious, but just as soon as I point it out (it seems), that he lacks the ability to embody doubt. Inner fight: Yes. Self doubt: No. That's a flaw that brought him the bad critics sometimes, when it would have been needed to portrait sth like a real human being. He can not even potrait self doubt when the script tells him to literally.
Wow. That's an enlightenment. Thank you for provoking it. This is gonna be good.
Intense, intense, intense. Relatable, yes. But always forward, like in fear. A hero, no doubt. Everytime this is his hideout. The relatable hero. But just decisions. Barely any character development, mostly addons to the personality. Projections of the old persona to the newly learned situation. No real change. That's not the director. It's him.
Im going against the grain here to say that he always struck me as... trying too hard. Something about him just always feels like the same role in all his movies: "silent tough guy who restrains himself". Donnu he just never convinced me, he always feels like he is acting the role. Its interesting how interpretations can vary.
EDIT: i think it might be the lines themselves that lose me, maybe not his acting.
Denzel Washington would be the best possible replacement for Johnathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror.
I will literally give any movie a try that has Denzel in it. That speaks volumes. I just know he is going to make the movie at WORST palatable to get through and at best a quality film experience. There is not a lot of actors that will get me to the theater or stream just off name alone.
Him and Christoph Waltz are the best actors for the roles they’re casted as; nobody can take their roles and they make sure you can’t see anyone else in the role
Hi Renzy, can you do a video on Idris Elba? I wish he got more attention, his acting skills are amazing
its hard for me to form a top list, but when i try, i really be thinking theres no one above denzel... contenders could be gary oldman, daniel day lewis, PSH
Im convinced Denzel Washington has met every Type of man in his life & hes also just extremely intelligent, thats how he delves into different mindsets seemlessly. Chilling performances with a few characters to me. Love all his work
Jack Nicholson has been awarded time and time again for acting and I don't think the man has ever acted a day in his life.
Just shows up on a set, reads some lines in what ever mood he's in and then cashes a cheque, collects the awards and goes again.
Denzel is an outstanding actor. Deserves all the praise in the world.
Ah, yes. Its not like he's been an actor for decades.
You don't have to act if you always play yourself 😂😂😂
Russell Crowe 🔥. Do Russell Crowe video next time
