ഞാനും സ്കുളിലേക്ക് ഒരു പാട് സഞ്ചരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ബസ്സാണിത്.. ധൈര്യപൂർവം വിദ്യാർത്ഥി കൺസഷൻ എടുത്തു കൊടുക്കാൻ പറ്റുന്ന ബസ്സാണിത്..കണ്ടക്റ്റർമാർ തെറി പറയാറില്ല, കണ്ണുരുട്ടാറില്ല, പിടിച്ചുതളളാറില്ല, കൃത്യം സ്റ്റോപ്പിൽ നിറുത്തി തരുമായിരുന്നു..
ഇനിയും കുറേ കാലം കൂടി ഈ ബസ്സിന് ആയുസ്സുണ്ടാകട്ടെ എന്ന് ആശംസിക്കുന്നു......!

ഉണ്ടാകും. കാരണം, ഈ പ്രോഗ്രാം ഇറങ്ങുന്നതുവരെ ബസ്സ് സര്‍വീസ് നഷ്ടത്തിലായിട്ടു അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ച് ആലോചനയിലായിരുന്നു ഉടമ. അരനൂറ്റാണ്ടിലേറെയായി നാട്ടുകാരുടെ പൊന്നോമന ആയ ബസ്സിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം എല്ലാവരും ഓര്‍മ്മിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനു നിമിത്തമാക്കുക എന്നതില്‍കവിഞ്ഞ് ഒരു ഉദ്ദേശ്യം ഈ പ്രോഗ്രാമിന് ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു. ഇത്രയേറെ ജനങ്ങള്‍ ഒരു നെഗറ്റീവ് കമന്റുപോലുമില്ലാതെ തങ്ങളുടെ ബസ്സിനെ സ്‌നേഹിക്കുന്ന കാഴ്ച ഞെട്ടലോടെയല്ലാതെ അഭിമാനത്തോടെയല്ലാതെ ഉടമയ്ക്ക് കാണുവാന്‍ സാധിക്കില്ല.

ഞാനും ഒരുപാട് യാത്ര പോയിട്ടുള്ള ബസ്സ് സർവീസ് ആണത്. പൊന്നൂകര മതിക്കുന്ന് സ്കൂളിൽ പഠിക്കുമ്പോൾ ശ്രീരാമ ചന്ദ്ര ബസിൻ്റെ സമയം ആണ് ഞങ്ങൾ കുട്ടികൾ നോക്കിയിരുന്നത്. Aa കാലത്ത് കുട്ടികൾക്ക് watch ഒന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല...

Extremely glad to see the narrative on Sreerama Chandra Bus Service, and recollect our connection with it. I remember having travelled to Ollur High school paying 10 paise on some special days like SSLC final exams. Otherwise it was routine walk from Thrikkur to Ollur and back with other classmates. Travel by bus was a luxury then and great enjoyment. Even now, when in Thrissur, my eyes search for Sreerama Chandra , and it's "saaradhi" Sri Ramakrishnan Chettan. ഈ ബസ് എനിക്ക് ഒരുപാട് കാണാൻ സാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് ഞാൻ ആദ്യം കാണുമ്പോൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ബസിന്റെ പെർമിറ്റ് 2004ൽ അവസാനിച്ചിരുന്നു ആ വർഷം തന്നെ ഇറങ്ങിയ പുതിയ ബസ് ആണ് ഇപ്പോൾ കാണിക്കുന്ന ചുവന്ന ബസ് ഇതിന്റെ കാലാവധിയും അവസാനിച്ചു ഇപ്പോൾ ഉള്ളത് ഒരു പുതിയ പച്ച ബസ് ആണ്
