Thanks Chen for reacting to this. I never much cared for this song before. Soo many bad covers on talent shows and I was never thrilled by Michel Buble who was covering Nina Simone. But what Gabriel has made me fall in love with it. His melismas, vibrato, head voice, belting! Just perfection. And that sustained whistle with vibrato! Blew me away! Chen, I have one question. I have heard that Gabriel uses his his mixed voice together with his head voice a lot. I have learned a lot through the years about the voice but that still eludes me. When you have the time could you please explain what this means? I really don't know. Thanks. Stu. ❤
In my precipitation in order to belt a resonant belt one has to mix head voice with chest, for the most part singers connect those two discretely but at time you can hear that happens when a singer "cries" into a note, that cry is head connecting with chest, I talk about it whenever a singer does it in my reaction videos, katrina did it on the last reaction I uploaded and I think I talked about it in the new celine video
