My cousin is in the U.S. army and while he was serving in the last war , he was always calling me to find out when he was coming home, because his army commander kept on lying to him. This government is always lying about everything.

Yes this is what I thought, my opinion, was happening south of Russia, literally straight down from there, in the waters at Antarctic where it showed up on our surveillance map. Presently, the US has 11 Nuclear carriers and are building three more Ford class nuclear carriers. But the US also has 9 small carriers dedicated to the use by the US Marine Corps and crewed by the US navy sailors. In total the US has 20 carriers.
I thought those 9 were recently decommissioned

Currently, there are 11 in service. But the US also has 2 classes of amphibious assault ships that (can) carry jets: The wasp class (7 in service) and the America class (2 in service). Both are capable of carrying AV-8B Harrier II jets and/or F-35B Lightning II jets. So all together 20 but remember amphibious assault ships are not full size carriers but still very lethal. NO OTHER COUNTRY HAS THE FIREPOWER OR TECHNOLOGY THAT CANBEST THE US. RUSSIA FOUND OUT IN UKRAINE.
I love it that we have a Navy that is prepared for the worst, however, I am not impressed with our so called Leaders that are running this show.,
America is the hardest country to invade by sea or air because realistically the only way to get us is the east or west coast which are heavily guarded. On the east coast you have Washington DC and on the west coast is where there are a few big navy bases. So Russia would most likely be exactly where they were because any other avenue is a for sure no go.
