As always Jason...excellent presentation!!
Thanks Chris, I’m hoping this benefits a lot of live streams!
Outstanding! Always enjoy your videos.
Very kind, thanks!
Jason, I am so happy. I was asking as well to the Mevo folks. Please bring over more feature from the Mevo app such as the "Static shot" to Multicam. I also hope as well that in the near future we could switch cameras from that screen. Great stuff. Thank you so much for your very informative videos. God Bless
Me too Frank! This was, apparently, a very difficult feature to move over. But they never quit improving this software. Good stuff.
Great video man!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Thanks Wandy!!
Can we do also static shots with Mevo Go (smartphone cameras)
Great stuff yet again! Do you know if there is a way to clear all the presets at once for PTZ cameras?
Currently only able to write over them one at a time. I will put in the feature request tho.
Great content Jason, thank you sir!
Thanks Richard!
Your Mevo series of videos have been very helpful.
I'm working on a project to Livestream some community events in my area. Is there a budget NDI camera you recommend?
I'm unfortunately on a very low budget (paying out of my own pocket)
Thank you for the kind words. Are you looking for a PTZ or static lens or…? All the cameras I’ve reviewed and used on this channel except the Emeet and Aicoco are NDI enabled.
@@JasonHoffmanYT honestly I'm not sure which is best (PTZ or static). I'm running Mevo Go apps on some Pixel phones for mobile cams, but I would like to set up one or two cameras in a central area for a sort of "birds eye view" of the venue we're using.
My original idea was to just utilize another phone for this, but I'm trying to shop around for alternatives, your instructions on setting up multiple camera positions on the NDI cam was what caught my attention.
@@videos4myspace For this you can’t go wrong with the Mevo Start.
So we have to stay in the "Edit Image" section of the Multi Cam app to move from the different static shots? I need to be able to do it from the screen where we have the different cameras. I'd like to setup the cameras and their different static views and just tap each one to change each scene, is that coming soon from Mevo?
I can tell you this has been discussed by the Mevo team. They seem to be in favor of adding it. I can't tell you how soon.
Hi Jason, thanks for the content. I'm seeing this feature as "COMING SOON" in Multicam and that was confirmed with Mevo support that this feature isn't available yet? I'm a little confused here and would appreciate any light you can shed on this.
Are you referring to the Static Shot Presets as still coming soon?
@@JasonHoffmanYT Yes, but I was looking the wrong place. I had clicked an elipsis on the small thumbnail for image settings.
Hi Jason, did you show this feature on Android or iOS? I've got the latest Android version (2.4.1 (516) updated 11/1/2024) and it doesn't seem to have this feature yet (I'm in Australia and sometimes there is a delay in being able to get updates). I did try the beta version last December, but Mevo released a patch soon after, but didn't release a new beta version, so all I got to see then was a dialog with 'Coming Soon' labels.
This was on iOS. The two versions of Multicam (Android/iOS) seldom ever have the exact same feature set.
Thanks Jason, I thought you were mostly an IOS user, but I think I saw a video of yours recently which showed an Android version.
Off topic, but what are your thoughts on the ZowieBox HDMI/NDI encoder? (and also your NDI PTZ cameras). We are looking at bringing in our presentation software (Zionworx) via NDI, but on Windows it only transmits 'fat' NDI and not HX. I don't think I have been successful in using NDI Bridge to transcode to HX, so thought the ZowieBox solution inline with the HDMI feed to the projector would be a fairly easy solution.
By the way, I just got home earlier this week from Texas. My daughter lives in the Woodlands area of Houston, not too far down the road from you.
Yep, I keep a Samsung tablet to stay up to date on what the android side is doing.
The ZowieBox has excelled at every job I've given it. I've run it in encoder mode to put devices on the network (NDI) and in decoder mode because someone asked if it was as easy as flipping the toggle over. It was.
She's just a couple hours down the road. Hope you enjoyed the visit.
Thanks for the confirmation about the ZowieBox - for me it would be less support issues on the Windows end, and worth the money
Which of the 2 PTZ cameras would you recommend (Zowie or OBSBOT)?
Enjoyed the visit. First time to Texas, and main reason was to meet my new grandson for the first time (just 6 weeks old). It was a little cold for a while, down to -8C which I wasn't expecting it to be that chilly. Apart from spending time with family, got to see an aviation museum, and NASA
Would love to see a video discussing multi cam for recording football/soccer/ultimate frisbee. I would imagine a setup with a camera at the middle of the field and one behind each of the endzones.
My typical football setup is a PTZ cam in the middle with a couple of auxiliary shots splitting the difference for each half of the field. The end zone shot will require extra equipment to keep everything connected. Just too great a distance. But it can be done… Sounds like you’re on the right track!
@@JasonHoffmanYT extra equipment meaning a wifi router that can cover the length of the field? note I am looking for a setup requiring manual operation during the game. Adding a non Mevo camera but still getting a synced up video is possible?
@@JasonHoffmanYT so I want to do all the work in post production
For this distance I’ve only been able to get reliable connections with a pair of routers, one in repeater mode. Yes, my non-mevo cameras sync well in Multicam software.
definitely doable. You can have each camera record to its sd card at the same time you have the overall ‘live’ feed recorded to your control device.
