  • Jambur is a small village located in the state of Gujarat in India, which has gained attention for its unique cultural practices and traditions that are said to be influenced by Africa. It is often referred to as "India's mini African village" due to the presence of a small community of people who are believed to be of African descent.
The history of the African community in Jambur is believed to date back to the 17th century, when African slaves were brought to the region by Portuguese traders. Over time, many of these slaves gained their freedom and settled in various parts of India, including Jambur.
Today, the African community in Jambur continues to maintain its cultural traditions and practices, including music, dance, and cuisine. The village is also home to a number of unique festivals and celebrations that are influenced by African culture.
Despite the attention that Jambur has received for its African heritage, the village is still largely unknown to many people in India and around the world. However, it is a fascinating example of the diverse cultural influences that have shaped the history and identity of India.
