    Yeah i agree with linda, i liked that greenish blouse the most too. I wonder if she's going to take Gigi's place as the Madamoiselle representative or something? She sure has the looks and body image! I'm so proud of her, she's made it far. :)

  • @kacey85

    She was born in BC so it would only make sense that she speaks fluent English. It's not like she was born overseas and moved to Canada.... and those Canadians you say don't speak English fluently would only mean they're not born in Canada.

  • @HAKSH1NG
    @HAKSH1NG 12 лет назад

    @Horrible28 Hm ... perhaps not very much, just simple American accent. But her tone and manner of speak is strongly american style. ( eg. "youno....youno....youno", always repeat the last word of a sentence. etc.)

    why do people always think speaking fluent English (like native speaker) is nice??? i mean she is a Chinese and wasn't born there; as long as she speaks okay English, that should be good already...

  • @kng2003ca
    @kng2003ca 12 лет назад

    What is a Canadian accent? British? Italian? Quebec French? It's equivalent of saying a person has an America accent as people speak with different accents depending on where they are raised and resided e.g. States, Counties, etc.

    I don't really find a significant difference between canadian accent vs US accent...they're both pretty much the same when compare to british accent..

  • @ahStarwok

    WELL considering she has been living in Hong Kong for so long now, it's not surprising that her english isn't as good as a pure canadian.

  • @Mrhaoable

    You know it's pretty hard learning a language. When you don't speak one for a while you tend to loose sight of it. I'm glad that I still have family that still speak Cantonese. A lot of my younger cousins don't speak it at all because they didn't want to learn it. Linda is amazing and she speak perfectly fine.
    P.S. Heart of Greed was my favorite. That's when i fell in love with her acting! :D

  • @Pedometer456

    In my opinion, she has the BEST English out of all the HK actresses b/c of the simple fact that she was born in Canada where English is the language spoken.

    So what are you implying here? You said that going to a good university does not mean a thing unless you are doing a good course? Tell me what course is not a "Good" course to you?
    Are you infering that theres inferior courses then? what rights do you have to belittle a certain course?

    1. Saying the way she speak is not canadian standard but hongky standard (She is born and raised in canada, top student in school and also displayed highly adequate english speaking skill yet you condemn her... why? because shes chinese?)- Racist
    2. Saying that only professional courses are considered "something" (So business, IT, Comm student are NOTHING as infered by you then?)- Narrow minded
    3. 1 + 2 = ignorant

  • @yellowtulip607
    @yellowtulip607 10 лет назад

    Her english accent is perfect. I can tell she was born in US or canada, not in HK.
    Just wonder if she learned
    Chinese when she was young or at time she got into HK show biz?
    I see she speaks Cantonese and mandarin well which I am impress. If she can read or even write then very admire on her talent.

    • @julial3758
      @julial3758 9 лет назад

      ha? You go to school and learn English in US/Canada, then when you go home after school, your family speaks Chinese, it's not that hard to learn all that. Writing is harder to learn, but there are Chinese school in USA + Canada.

  • @y3nnji

    and "law" are just examples, but the point doesn't lie in the examples. the point is, which i think what holypredator is trying to stress from your ignorant statement is that, WHY WOULD YOU EVEN THINK THAT THERE ARE GOOD COURSES OR BAD COURSES IN UNIVERSITIES? It's true that there are some courses which have higher requirement than other courses, but each courses have their own difficulties and contributions towards the world, and therefore, it is disrespectful of you to insult other courses.

  • @releaseDAhoundz
    @releaseDAhoundz 12 лет назад

    you mean if I compare her to pure Canadian chinese girls? but Linda is a pure Cdn chinese girl too....did u mean pure in the sense of those chinese girls who can ONLY speak english and not chinese?then yes, I agree she is not that type of style. even without opening her mouth to speak, she look honger more than CBC. And it isn't really fair to compare her to Fala, who just went abroad to the states for a few years. 1000x better.....edison chen's english is up to par with those 2 as well i think

  • @y3nnji
    @y3nnji 12 лет назад

    oh, gosh. your comments are really bad, aren't they?
    There's no need for her to you know, speak squeaky perfect english, just as long as she can get her message sent across to others. Why emphasize on speaking perfect english?
    And also, it really IS IGNORANT of you to think that there's no use studying in university unless you take a good course such as medicine and law. What's your definition of "good" course? Arent all courses in universities all good? I understand that your "medicine" and

  • @nguyensps
    @nguyensps 11 лет назад +1

    no offense though she sounds like she is having an interview with her teacher. hehe. What she's talking is ermmm.. (for lack of words) but I think if this is the first time someone has seen her, they can't tell much how she is like. I mean, she is much more than this.

  • @222Rn86
    @222Rn86 11 лет назад

  • @nguyensps

    how about Fala Chen? :) I love both of them. But still think Fala looks more appealing and sounds more convincing when she talks. I'm talking about their ways of speaking rather than their english.

    I think she's losing that familiar, really rhythmic cadence you get when you constantly speak English. Purely speaking Cantonese/Mandarin and not being around English-speakers can do that to you, but once you get back to conversing with native speakers, then it should feel natural again.

  • @bmb007

    She seems very nervous for the interview and sometimes stumble on words. Maybe speaking english is rusty being in HK for so long. I wish that she didn't say that her physique is more like "white" and use Caucasian instead. "shocking colors"? hehe, I'm guessing she means dynamic strong colors.

  • @releaseDAhoundz
    @releaseDAhoundz 12 лет назад

    you mean not for a caucasian? this would be very good for a canadian, unless you meant sounding like a caucasian girl
