Thank you so much, I am kinda new to SimRacing and this helped me save whole 6+ seconds on Black Cat County just because I wasn't slamming my pedals too hard and I was minimizing traction loss.
Bashing brake all the way down is not good, even if the abs is on and you do the trail braking while cornering. You have to keep brake pressure at the limit of abs activitaion. Its called threshold braking. You have to listen to tires and abs. If you can manage that you will make braking much much more efficient.
I always brake 100% for only a second or shorter then a second, then brake for like 80% to 90%. And then gradually release the brakes coming into the corner, doing this will result in a thing called trail braking and this also results in more rotation in the car.
Brake settings with an Xbox controller in Assetto Corsa. The brake trigger is very sensitive in AC. What I like to do is go into the car setup and go to the braking tab and turn down the brake power to 86%. So now when you race to can depress the trigger without over braking and losing control.
i always wondered if its ok to brake a bit earlier at times while still on the throttle 100 percent because sometimes i cant see a turning point clearly so i do it just in case to slow down, i find it it can be smooth. but i also sometimes do letting go of the throttle a bit and pushing the brakes a bit, where sometimes the brakes and throttle go up and down like a seesaw
@@drivingobsession7900 yea I think it’s a rally technique. I think the reason has to do with eliminating understeer by shifting the weight to the front wheels
Do you use auto throttle blip? Also idk if I should use auto clutch option or not since it’s a dual clutch car so you don’t usually have a 3rd pedal to modulate anyways.
Yes I think throtte blip feature is originally in the car in real life as well. And no, you don’t need clutch, because once again this car doesn’t have it

Hey dude. I have a problem only with assetto corsa. I recently got a T150 and whenever I release the throttle, the brakes and wheels just locks up, the pedal metric shows that the brake gauage goes up gradually as I release the throttle and on full throttle release the brakes are fully engaged. I only have this issue in AC. T150 has 2 pedals
Hmm 🤔 Weird one… Never had this problem or heard about it, so have nothing to tell. I would say try to reconfigure all of the controls in assetto but you probably already tried it.
@@drivingobsession7900 First issue I found but that is common that the brake and gas pedals are reversed in AC. I fixed it, but the problem still persis. Maybe auto clutch? I have no idea, cant take a corner without locking the brakes, need to play with both pedals at the same time.
Well a lot of times it’s better to try and do 360 so that the car would end up in the same direction. You can look it up on youtube how Max Verstappen did it in Hungary this year. You just need to apply some throttle, hold the wheels straight and the car will spin 360 degrees. However it depends on situation… Sometimes you will end up in a wall if you do that.
This was actually incredible for me, I am new to sim racing and have never driven in my life (bad eyesight has the funny consequence of you being considered unfit to drive, strangely :P), but now I understand a little better about stability management, thanks. On a side note, what track is this?

@@busyojo 1 month later, I drove with assists off (ABS is on Factory so it would be on or off depending on vehicle) one of the first bit of advice I got since getting a wheel and buying AC, I have gotten the hang of it now I'm learning the finesse of throttle control, steering the car with throttle and I'm slowly getting it, idk if its my wheel holding me back, but I've seen dudes shred the fuck out of G27, for now I have over 500 hours in combo of drifting and hot laps.
@@samueljones3668 seems like good progress :). The problem to me sounded like you got off throttle when you oversteered which is a big no no. You should stay on throttle (maybe not 100%) so you can correct the car. Throttle control is key in drifting. ;)

Brake hard and focus on getting a good exit. Braking late may seem like the play but in reality it’s not good, better brake too early and get a good exit. Especially when there’s a corner followed by a straight. Focus on the saying: “slow in fast out”. And try hitting the apex nicely 😄

Which colors are you talking about? The ones in the bottom right of the video? If you’re talking about those, that’s just a representation of how much pressure is being applied to the pedals. Green is throttle, red is brake, blue is clutch(if available). If you see the green bar completely full, that just means the driver pressed the gas pedal as far as it can go.
Yeah it’s supposed to be that way. You mentioned that you are not playing with wheel right? So if you press brake with keyboard ,for example, it will be fully pressed. With wheel you would be able to control the brake input much better. However it’s better to brake in a straight line release brake and then turn.
