    54:40 Ma'am because a compound is combined together with 2 other atoms of different element, for eg: H20 [Hydrogen + oxygen ] that's the reason there is no term used as monoatomic in case of molecules of a compound.

    56:08 Ma'am on this slide for the ratio of HCl it is showing 1: 35.5, but according to the law the ratio/ proportion must be the whole number, then how is it possible to have it in a decimal?

      I think.
      It's because we take 35.5 as average mass of Chlorine but Cl actually mass is 35 or 37.
      So ratio by mass of HCl is 1 : 35 or 1 : 37 but on average mass we take it as 1 : 35.5
      I don't is this statement is correct or not.
      It's my thought on this.
