I've bought inhalers out of pocket without insurance. They definitely weren't $500. The insurance system is its own thing. Consumers aren't supposed to have to think about the drama going on there - you just pay your co-pay and move on. The US also does over 90% of the world's medical research. The world would be suffering a lot more if not for the way the US system works.

I’m in the US, I have my doctors order my long term medications through Canada drug mart direct. Some Rx are cheaper in one country vs another. Expensive ones like Eliquis are less than a third what we pay in the US. Delivery can take a few weeks as a particular medication may come from another region than North America.
Companies don't understand that employees with free or lower cost medical insurance work more days in a year. If companies take care of their employees they will take care of the company.

Overturning Citizens United would restore representative democracy, hereby removing the immoral power of a few ultra wealthy individuals to control congress to create legislation that continues to put their profit ahead of the health safety and welfare of American citizens. Therefore, they are working directly against the state’s best interest of ensuring these very things.
Bernie has been an advocating overturning the disaster that the Citizens United ruling has wrought since it passed back in 2010. Good luck getting this issue in the spotlight for needed reforms to put the brakes on unlimited corporate donations to candidates elections!
I disagree with you Senator on so many things but I can't deny your heart is in the right place and you have integrity. I'd love to see you as head of the FDA, Dept of Health and Human Services, or Veteran's Affairs, some place where your principles can be focused intensely for our nation's benefit.

I’m in the US, I have my doctors order my long term medications through Canada drug mart direct. Some Rx are cheaper in one country vs another. Expensive ones like Eliquis are less than a third what we pay in the US. Delivery can take a few weeks as a particular medication may come from another region than North America.
Companies don't understand that employees with free or lower cost medical insurance work more days in a year. If companies take care of their employees they will take care of the company.

The government should fine those companies and put the money into affordable medication for all.
Bernie Sanders, one of the few senators that actually works at the job and tries to do good things for the American people. I’ve never heard him tell lie that’s a big step forward for me and I convinced that most of the inflation that everybody shook up about is caused by the monopolistic position of about 80 companies, and whatever they do behind the scenes with their contributions to the other senators and representatives.

want to buy a house? has to be 20% down or pay a pmi. also you need to pay a “due diligence” (in some southern states) even if the owners house is a dump and has issues come up in inspection.
need to put food on your table? eh, better have a college degree. get the college degree, still cant find a good job for more than $25/hr.

This is a horrible, greedy injustice to the American people. I have friends who cannot afford their copays for cancer medications. I cannot afford my copay for my Eliquis to prevent bloodclots. After finding out some of the "side effects" of the covid vaccines that are now being exposed, I will never knowingly get the covid vaccine again. Thank you to this young woman and to Senator Bernie Sanders who want to do what is right for American citizens.

Although I disagree with his policies I always respected him as honestly believing in what he espoused. That ended in 2015 when he traded his beliefs and gave his endorsement of Hillary in return for a house on lake Champlain.
