I know you aren’t typically into Classical but if you enjoyed the energy from this performance you should also check out Hauser! He is a cellist that plays with such emotion but known for being very…eccentric to classics but also modern music in a very entertaining and engaging way. He performs live around the world so I would expect his next US concert would be in a place like NYC My favorite piece by far is his arrangement of Adagio for Strings

But since I prefer piano to be soothing, I don’t fully connect with his work as much as he may deserve. If you really love jazz and piano, you should try Tigran Hamasyan. He is a musical genius also. He is a master of composing polyrhythmic sound, ie., several melodies at the same time. I would listen to his Leaving Paris first.
