Me I have been in Kensington and voted there twice I was shocked when they told me I was registered in a tent where themselves had to investigate where it is. I found myself had to go in a hostel in soweto. I was so angry. IEC are so incompetent
This is why its important to go on voter registration days and check if your name is on the list… no excuse! Im halfway around the world and still managed to vote
@@LeeChungTu7230 why didn’t you/her register for a special vote🤔her age automatically qualifies her for it… how does going out to register make me privileged?
Well many of those who didn't vote is because they don't listen to radio or watch news, always listen to music. They need to take responsibilities, they were more than enough voter registration time.
Almost half of our old age folk in our retirement home did not appear on the special vote list even though they were registered. IEC arrived with no voting booths?.
Most people didn't know about Section 24A. As a results, they didn't VOTE. A lot of citizens were excluded from the ELECTIONS because of this section. You find yourself in Polokwane working as a car washer during the elections and you registered to vote in Tzaneen or Zebediela. When you knock off from work you go to the nearest VD to vote, they tell you that you didnt APPLY FOR SECTION 24A and you are not legible to vote. They turn you away. Most South Africans were hurt during the elections. They were being REJECTED. One man came to me crying. He was from Gauteng but found himself in Limpopo due to work obligations. He was REJECTED by the IEC based on Section 24A. He cried like a baby because he was eager to vote. We tried to DISCUSS with IEC People, but they refused to help him. There was no ELECTIONS LESSONS TO TEACH THE VOTERS/ VOTER EDUCATION was less effective.
For me I do not understand how voter stations are decided because in the area am residing we do nt have voter station. We are forced to register at the nearest station which is 2 to 3 km outside our residential area. This is just disappointing from IEC.
How can you still blame apartheid 30 years later??? Incorporate the required knowledge in the matric curriculum to equip young people to vote. The IEC had 5 years to prepare.... unemployment is 100% the ANC and their policies to blame.
As long as we have provinces, we will envisage such problems. But if we have a unitary state, this will not had happened. This Section 24 had negative effect to these elections.
So what now? HOW many eligible voters thrown to the wolves 😡 , just hope & pray all these glitches arent deliberate! Puppet master ever so happy with his accomplishments.
