I loved this interview and this Iyanla! A pure perl of wisdom. But I must confess I have trouble with her modern self, for me she comes accross as very unhinged now.
Iyanla is a proud black woman, black mother. We can feel her courage and pride when she speaks. She radiates confidence and she makes me proud to be a Black woman. Thank you Iyanla.
My sistah, friend and who I want to be when I grow up. Have followed her since the book One Day My Soul Just Opened Up. That title follows me from one year to the next. Some men can't ask for what they want because codependents don't always know what they want.
I identify with her as a female parent trying to raise an African American son in America. Yes, conditioning our sons to be their best selves and reinforce to them regularly that they originated from kings and queens.
Sir, thank you for your comnent. It actually makes me want to purchase the book even more! Would you mind sharing as little or as much, to exactly what impacted you most about the book and how it transformed you - and your life as a whole? Thank you in advance and please stay safe!
I have read and listened to and watched Iyanla since the late 90’s. I ♥️ her. I have never heard this interview before today. Brilliant!! “As difficult as I made it”. WOW
Dont kno how I came across this......So eye-opening and refreshing to see her & hear Iyanla in her earlier yrs still authentic snd knowledge- filled, timeless.. Whoever finds fault in this woman have their own inadequacies needed to be dealt with!!!!
If you’re using that anger to blame yourself or others instead of using it as the drive to prove yourself to yourself or others then you’re using that energy wrong my friend.
Gm edagdwg thanks for sharing this story of what happens when you know God for yourself pay attention to what you know for yourself only God gives you what you need to be who you are love is real I'm soooooo blessed to know God for myself Linda j peace ☮️☮️☮️☮️☮️
Iyanla Vanzant did not get her early recognition or even now because of what she talks about. She talk about African ancestry and healing but they don’t want that mainstream but Love and Hip Hop and Housewives are. I love her and her wisdom
Amen. Condition our children when they are young and call them Dr. and Lawyer. Minister, preacher etc. You must make good grades to get into college and own your business some day. Well done good and faithful servant. Our children are a blessing! Thank you Yahweh for our gifts which are more precious than gold...
It's amazing how women are always transforming themselves BUT a boy will stay in his childish ways...never transforming into a man. Alot of adults are overgrown children. I appreciate this woman's wealth of wisdom always
I don't know why this is making me cry. But I guess this is how church folk feel when the gospel enters into them. I felt this on a soul level. Love Iyanla!
It's because its truth!! This type of information (especially for black people) never gets promoted, instead we are constantly being bombarded with celebrity and gossip news. Information like this is transformative for your mind/soul and it will have you examining yourself and observing others around you. Plus you were open to truly hear and receive the message and that's why it tugged on your heart because it's pure. You truly are blessed because so many others are distracted and don't understand they have the power to control their life. Remember many are called but few are chosen.
Even before watching this video, I've always touched and gave thanks for my eyes, legs, thoughts, and etc. Also, that letter she read is something that I will practice when I have my own kids someday. I had an "aw ha" moment.
I love this interview I keep coming back everytime I need to ear this. ❣️This is a gift from Mother heart. She awakened her so that she could spread her message.
THIS IS AMAZING! JUST FOUND THIS! THE WOMAN IS PHENOMENAL! WORLD CHANGER! GIVING PROPS TO THE INTERVIEWER, THROWING THE QUESTIONS, AND KEEPING UP! THE HOST WAS READY! 😍😍😍#2021

Knowing God for yourself as a child of God we all don't have to be what happens when people tells you you have to be a respectful person God bless you to know God for yourself I'm sooooooo blessed to know that I'm blessed to have a real life Linda j peace ☮️☮️☮️☮️☮️☮️
Being yourself is who you are your body is what we have to get around but our soul is who we are God is us greater is he that is in us then he who is in the world pay attention to what you feel linda j peace ☮️☮️☮️☮️☮️☮️

Iyanla is so peaceful and she brings so much clarity. Her spirit is so clean. I can wholeheartedly relate to being angry.
