Nursing wasn’t my first choice as a pre med course but somehow, I ended up taking it since late ako nag entrance exam sa university ko so naubusan daw ako ng slot sa BS Biology. I planned to shift pagdating ko ng second semester but when that time came, I was torn if itutuloy ko pa yung pagshift ko to Bio since nainlove na ako sa mga subjects and sa idea ng ginagawa ng mga nursing students (hospital exposure and the likes.) My brother advised me this: “Kung dumating man ang time na hindi ka na kayang pagaralin nila Mama for med school at mananatili ka sa isang profession for the rest of your life, saan mo mas gusto? Sa Bio or sa Nursing?” That hit me. I still wanted to be in the medical field kahit di ako makapag doctor. Now I am a registered nurse (kakapasa ko pa lang last Nov 2019) and hopefully, makapagstart na ko ng 1st yr med sa SY 2020-2021. Bottomline is, choose a premed course that you definitely would enjoy and love, and at the same time, yung naiimagine mong pwede mong maging profession for the rest of your life.
hi po, incoming college student po ako this s.y and i want to take nursing as my pre med.. soon, i want to pursue my career as a cardiologist, magandang premed po ba ang nursing for cardiology?
my professor said that nursing students make the most caring doctors ♡ also it would be easier for a nursing grad to work with nurses because they have been on their shoes before! hehe 1st yr bsn here :)
Who will love nursing as a pre med course? Kung mahilig ka makipag-usap sa iba't ibang tao, you'll love it. Basically as a nurse messenger ka ng lahat. Also, if you want that patient interaction, dami yon sa nursing. Last na haha pero if gusto mo na early on mafeel yung "rewarding" feeling as a doctor na nakatulong ka ganun as in that priceless feeling at the end of the day, nursing is the way to go! Who should avoid it?
Pwede kaya yon?
Maarte ako and thats okay, but as someone who wants to be a doctor someday, I have to overcome my fears like body fluids, needles, and what nots. I'm introverted din and a very shy person pero I guess that's why I am considering nursing as a pre med kung sakali because it's just right for me to face my fears habang taking the course. I could socialize and be more outgoing
1st year nursing student palang ako, magsesecond year na this school year. Actually ang mahirap siguro kahit any pre med courses is yung wala kang resources. Nakakatamad mag-aral kasi wala kang gamit like laptop na mapabilis yung ginagawa mo like research. I only use my phone in any paperworks that we do and nakakawalang gana siya. This course taught me to value small or big things that you have kasi your goal naman is to help people and give the care that they needed. When we had our first exposure sa hospital, kahit 2 days lang yun, it's really heartwarming because the patient that was assigned to me gumaling after nong duty namin. When I saw her in the hospital, she thanked me alot. Ito yung advantage sa course nato, mas namomotivate kang tumulong kasi naaappreciate yung ginagawa mo even in small things.
Hi ate! Also, Thank you rin po for sharing your experiences :)) as an incoming first year po sobrang nakakainspire po kayo
Exactly! People should know how toxic and draining the field of nursing can be. And we're not just mere humans who collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers, but most especially, nurses are the backbone of the hospital.
Nursing isn’t my first choice in college. I remembered during the start of my clinical rotation nung 2nd yr college, I really wanted to shift into Accounting na talaga. Kasi nakita ko yung mga patients and arte arte ko ayoko sa ward (lol) pero its true that it will really develop you not just as a student but as a person. It will put you out of your comfort zone.. I’m glad di ako pinayagan magshift ng course ng parents ko nun because I got to experience a lot of things not an ordinary pre med student can experience. :) right now, im in 3rd year med school... and yes, motivation and discipline talaga to study is the key but nursing as a premed course will give you an edge. :)
Proud RN here!! Actually, I'm an aspiring soon to be MD!! 👩🏻⚕️
💯 As a novice nurse who has a plan to pursue med school, this video really made me confident and proud that I chose nursing. Nakakasad lang talaga na some patients and even some doctors can’t appreciate nurses. I’m really thankful those patient na nagthathank you at nangungumusta samin kung kumain na kami or pagod na kami. Hoping na mas madami pa ang makappreciate sa mga nurses as well as other HCPs cause we’re risking our health just to care for others. Being a HCP is hard but it’s worth it.
Doc. Aura: Kayo, anong subject ba yung pinaka nag struggle kayo as a nursing student?(Sabay singit ng) "Biochem?" Doc. Nathan: Meron bang may gusto nun? Doc. Aura: Diba, diba diba? Me while watching: Sabi na eh HAHAHAHAH
@@izzyaxis7880 i also encountered like this and i'm under the strand of STEM. It actually depends of what nurses would likely to order with you. we even clean up a person with diabetis and witnessed a dying patient.
BS Nursing is my premed course.
I'm a 2nd Year Nursing Student now..I could say that BSN is really nice and amazing pre med course because this course really teaching us how to take care of other people regardless of skin color, socioeconomic status, height, weight, language, ethnicity, beliefs, culture, characteristics and attitude..It is a great preparation for Doctor of Medicine profession because if you are a doctor your job is to take care of your patients and you'll promote health, and that's what nurses do.Nursing course really thought me how our health is really important... All I can say is NURSING COURSE is the best❤️
For me po, Nursing po talaga ang gusto kong kunin as premed course.
I am currently a 2nd year Nursing student at sobrang nagenjoy lang akong panoorin tong vlog na to! I was smiling the whole time since I can totally relate to everything nursing related stuff that were mentioned. Thanks for sharing us insights!
As a nursing student, I am beyond excited to watch this one. Setting my reminder on :D Also, we do have histo pero integrated lang sa anaphy so superficial lang din. Also immunology na nasa micropara namin yun.
nursing is my number one choice for pre-med but still hesitating until i saw this video. sobrang nakakaeducate tsaka nakakamotivate nito, thank you so much Doc! i'm still in 4th year highschool and still has a long way but this pre-med course really excites me. can't wait to be in a hospital talking to patients T^T
Thank you so much for this. I'm a Grade 12 SHS and It really inspired me from pursuing doctor and gave a lot o f information at the same time.
I’m a 2nd year Nursing Student po right now. And because of this I was inspired to explore for more. Tho, it isn’t my first choice but I I’m doing my best to learn and I’m loving it. Especially the time na nag capping and badge na kami, super feel ko talaga ang environment ng hospital at nang community. Thank you dear Seniors!
I'm grade 12 student under STEM STRAND .Gusto ko talaga maging nurse eh not because malaki ang sweldo sa ibang bansa or maganda maging nurse or anything they say..the reason why i choose this nursing in the first place its becoz I decided to pursue this career becoz I LOVE SAVIN OTHER PEOPLE LIVES..You see guys if u try to help other people lives you will be genuine happy and people always grateful to you..As a nurse its our duty to help other people especially to those who are in danger and i know my parents refuse to take this strand they want me to force to take course architect.and i know that is not my dream to accomplish.. but i wont give up this is my dream laban lng .. If u plan to get a nurse think bout it before you proceed if u hate dealing other people or any kind sort of stuff then nursing is not for you.. but if u believe in yourself everything is possible in God's grace
@@raminaluzares32 sorry If it gets almost a year before I replied. 😂 To answer your question well, we know na as we go on with our journey in life marami tayong ginugusto it could be that gugustuhin moang isang bagay dahil gusto mong yumaman, gugustuhin mo para makilala ka ng mga tao, gugustuhin mo dahil iyan ang pangarap ng mga magulang mo sayo, o di kaya’y gugustuhin mo dahil wala kang choice. And some of those made me push to go for nursing. Bakit? At the moment na ma expose ka na sa patient mo lalo kang gaganahang tumulong kahit sa pag kuha lang ng VS andiyang ang ngiti ng bagong silang, mga bata, mga binata, matanda, lahat ng tao (from conception till death iyan ang aalagaan mo) at napatunayan ko ito sa mga expsoures na meron kami dahil sa school namin may duty kami every summer and aside pa noon naalala ko pa ang first exposure ko as I was chosen to attend medical mission 1st year 2nd sem. to scrub for minor surgery which is di ko pa alam anong gagawin dahil minor sub pa lang nung 1st sem meron ako. But the people, our seniors help us to feel every moment that time, nag prep. nag assist, handle and whatnot napaka terrifying pero an overcome ko, dami pa naman rules inside O.R 😂 nakalimutan na nga naming 5 1st years na kumain 😂 bukod sa mabaho area dahil na expose din kami sa cyst extraction pero honestly lahat ng yun nakakaproud. I was even planning to do a vlog on journey in BSN per parang gipit sa time dahil sa mga theories and skilla na kailangan ma master. Basta Di ko masasabing piliin mo yung gusto mo dahil at some point yung totoong gugustuhin mo is on-process pa di siya yung tipong on-hand na at yun na talaga ang gusto mo, you still need to endure the process 😉. Kaya tiwala lang, trust the Lord’s plan and the process.
@@roengracecalivoso6419 that’s true, nursing isn’t just all about profession, money, going abroad, and whatnot. It’s a calling, a vocation for you to serve. As you go with the process of becoming one for sure malilimutan mong ni minsan ginusto mo palang mag MassCom 😂 which is my firsy choice.
You became my inspiration to become a doctor one day. I know what will I face in the future but I won't stop till I reach my dream ^^.
I am currently a grade 12 student and i spent 2 weeks at the ER for my work immersion. I experienced many things that really motivated me to pursue Nursing, i even tried suturing a wound hehe. I also witnessed putting catheter, closed reduction, injected my work immersion partner, and etc.
@@ashleyaso8054 Hi, dito lang po sa catbalogan. But not everyone in our batch experienced the same thing din kasi sa ibang department or ward sila nakaassign. If you're a grade 12 student now, sadly, baka wala rin kayong work immersion due to this pandemic.
@@tami6666 Hello, I hope so too! Pero if ipursue mo talaga ang nursing marami ka ring matututunan sa mga wards like bedside care at iba pa. Good luck!!
Hi po! First year Bsn student here! Gusto ko po talaga mag med after and I really chose Nursing (kahit ayaw ng parents ko at parang pinapalipat na nila ako ng course) I still pursued it.. but on my way syempre po nahirapan rin ako kasi tuwing papasok ako sa school parang parating sinasabi na hindi naman po para saakin yun, (minsan pag uwi rin)mag iba nalang daw po course and all. I really don't know if I wanted to take the finals.. pero sayang rin.. but I really wanted to pursue the course. Thank you sa video po na ito ❤️ Nainspire po ulit ako to continue nursing 😊 Thank you
In CPU we were allowed to see the cadavers dissected by our Med students. Twas nice to see the actual organs and learn them. Our curriculum included Nursing Physics, Math, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry. Also, there's a virtual lab available where you can do simulations. Right now, they're gearing towards Transcultural Nursing where our students can be sent abroad to do their RLE there. Indeed, no regrets with this profession. You'll learn a lot and come out as a more compassionate individual. ❤
I'm in my third year of nursing and I have to say, I wish I had been more prepared prior to the start of my college life. Nursing truly isn't that easy talaga and it takes a lot to continue this course. My advice for those who want to take up nursing is to choose a nice school paired with a nice education system kasi you wouldn't want their issues to be part of your academic problems. I came to love nursing because it was such an interesting course but my college somehow brought the experience down kasi they're insensitive to the needs of their students. Sana di to makita ng college ko lol, pero yes, your environment while learning is EXTREMELY important.
Hello po, you mentioned that you wish you had been more prepared prior to starting college. Any tips for incoming 1st yr nursing students?🥺do i have to study or review in advance?
this is amazing, i really should've took nursingggggg i hope doc you'll interview present/future doctors that have their premed courses as 'non-medical fields' kung anong klaseng struggles or how did they cope up or nakaapekto ba sya sa studying in med school. i hope this one will ve consideredddd. Thank u doc!!! ❤️❤️
Hello everyone. I have been working as a nurse for around 10 years already, 4 years of it were in ICU in Saudi Arabia. But then i decided to take up medicine. One reason is that I feel so inferior from the doctors. Its like, i believe i can do what they can do.
Yes!!! Super true na madami talagang cinocover ang nursing and at some point minsan iniisip ko pa ba kung nursing iyong course ko sa sobrang dami ng cinocover na 😂 thank you for this Doc! ❤️
I love this discussion, Doc. I’m a first year nursing student, and I’m loving the journey. Basta gusto ko talaga ginagawa mo, walang mahirap. Masaya lang, yung passion mo nandun. So far, wala naman akong nahihirapang subject sa first year ngayon, and paborito ko talaga ang Biochemistry. Its fun. Dun ako nag-excel during first sem ng nursing. I did some tutorial online din sa kapwa ko nursing. I just love chemistry, and biochem seems that easy. But anyway, nursing is fun. Katamaran lang talaga kalaban ko sa pag-aaral. Plano ko rin ho magpatuloy sa medicine. Wish me luck! ❤️ Thank you, Nathan and Joe.
It's nice if you do experience as a nurse for at least 2 yrs po, para ka relate talaga may ibang experience wla sa Nursing school sa exp mo lng matutunan. Opinion lng. 😁
This was so helpful and informative doc. I am choosing between Bsn and Bsmls, but now I watched this vid I finally know the comparison between the two. My heart is literally in nursing, should I go for it?
yes, u should definitely choose (BSN) as ur pre-med. well i’m a first year nursing student i would say it is the most tiring, nerve racking course among the rest ahhahaah but that’s not a total measurement to define nursing 💛 IT’S super fun and totally ur patience will be test! :)
BS Nursing is an arduous program that requires a lot of you as a student. Determination is one thing a student nurse must possess since madaming work na gagawin. Be attentive in your lectures. ALWAYS EAT YOUR BREAKFAST!! (para may energy and also para hindi lumilipad utak mo during lectures). Always pay attention to your CI (clinical instructor) para hindi ma-tanga. BAWAL ANG TANGA NA NURSE/NURSING STUDENT KASE YOU'RE HANDLING SOMEONE'S LIFE. NCM in your level 1 is the most important course (subject) not Anatomy and Physiology, pero dapat kabisado nyo since you need to know all the structures and its functions, on how they work, on how one organ connect to other organs AND MANY MORE. Microbiology and parasitology and biochem, they're just applied science, they may not be your major courses but you have to be good in it kase connected siya sa Anatomy and Physiology. That's it!! STUDY!! STUDY!! STUDY!! STUDY!! STUDY!! I'm a level 1 nursing student btw heheh e, goodluck sa ating lahat ❤️ I LOVE YOU DOC AURA!!!
Thank you so much for this ate Aura, and to kuya Joe and kuya Nathan. It definitely made me assure myself na it’s the right decision to shift to BS Nursing next AY. And it’s great na they answered the question about who should take this course, kasi, as an introvert, I thought it would be a great disadvantage for me if magtetake ng BSN, but you guys changed my mind about it. Thank you so much!
Joseph Emerson Dayot Waahhh! Thank you so much for the reply kuya. Now, I’m 100% confident about picking nursing. If only I had this video and your insights dati, di sana ako mapunta sa course na di ko talaga gusto ngayon. Hahaha. Thank you so much po talaga! Good luck sa road to MD mo po.
Hello everyone hi doc hehez👋im a highschool student and I really want to take nursing... At the moment I'm always watching everything connected to nursing and all that stuff... Thank you for the tips and infos someday in God's will I will be doctor with hardword💖
Yay! I really waited for this. I was the one who said on your video about PT that I'm torn between this two. Thank you po talaga Ate DoktAura 💕 you are really a big part of the course I'll take. So much love dok.
When I was confined to a hospital, my nurse told me that nursing is one of the best pre med courses to take kasi based on what he experienced daw, mas caring and mas thearpeutic makipag-usap ang doctors who took up nursing sa patients nila, plus mas hands-on yung iba.
so inspiring, para sa katulad kong hindi nag take risk when i was a first yr college i didn't pursue my dream to become a student nurse and future RN, but right now im planning to shift and transfer a school which is a medical school and i will pursue whatever happen I'll accept it! wish me luck, thanks doctaura💛
As an incoming 1st year college, I was really torn between choosing Medical Biology or BSN as a pre-med. Considering that Medbio is a straight MD program (at DLSU-D) it was really hard for me to take the opportunity down since kalevel nya ang leap med ng UST and ng intarmed ng UP. But after watching several videos/reading blogs regarding on the best pre-med course, I realized BSN is really for me ❤️ Thank you so much for this!
Awesome Video❣very inspiring tama lahat ideas nila its a Big help sa mga Begginers na papasok palang sa Med School malaki ang advantage pre med mo Nursing kasi diyan ka madedevelop kung paano ka makipag communicate sa mga tao,sa mga Doctors,sa superior mo is a good Training ground ganun din sa mga chart or documents magiging precise ka Social service oriented kaya bago ka maging Doctor malalaman mona kung ano ang pinipili mong field kasi well oriented kana,More Power sa mga Videos mo Doctora AURA galing ng ginawa mo ang dami mong natutulungan gaya namin na OFW Nurses aspiring go to MED school may short briefing na kmi kung saan namin ilalagay ang strength namin to prepare. We Love You Doctora AURA Mabuhay Ka❣⚘✌😊💖💖💖
! month nalang ako mag aaral hahaha Nakakakaba pero kung God's will talaga edi GO :)
when i was young, masakitin po ako. palagi akong na ho hospital pero sobrang weird po ng pakiramdam ko kapag nasa hospital po ako. i really admired those doctors, nurses, and other medical workers. hindi ko po alam pero yung feeling po kapag nasa hospital po ako, it kinda feels like home. and i know that time, dream ko na talaga maging doctor. simula bata pa ako, gustong gusto ko talaga yung scent ng hospital. kakapasok mo palang parang gusto ko ng mamalagi duon. gusto ko na talaga maging doctor and tumulong sa mga pasyente pero I was too young that time. when i was 15 years old, namatay yung lola ko. she was in the icu that time nung buhay pa sya pero 50/50 na yung buhay nya and i wished that time na sana ako nalang yung doctor na kasi gagawin ko ang lahat para mabuhay sya. lahat ng makakaya ko ibubuhos ko. pumunta ako sa cr that time and i nadaanan ko yung ward ng mga bata. sumilip ako sa may door at nakatayo lang ako sa main door doon. feeling ko that time, doctor na ako and i was motivated talaga na maging doctor pag laki ko and i should do well sa studies ko. now that i am a g12 student, magiging college student na next year (2022), I am still confused kung anong pre-med ang pipiliin ko. Can I ask for anyone's opinion po?
Proud! All related! 🥰 In the end, nursing is chosen by the heart not because you will think of it as your pre-med. Ienjoy niyo ang nursing or any course you take as your pre- med ☺️☺️☺️
I love this video. I'll be in senior high next school year, and will be taking STEM. I like to take BS Nursing but my friend doesn't think it's a good idea because she thought they are the doctor's assistant or whatsoever.
Hi dra.im currently having my ivt training today po completion and I am a nursing student as well so hopefully i know its a good pre med especially anatomy and pharmacology
Thank you so much for this video Dr. Aura! As an incoming college student who's still confused on what degree to take in college, your pre-med videos really enlightened me in so many ways. Looking forward for the upcoming vids! God bless you po! ❤️
I'm currently a grade 10 student now, and this year will gonna be my 1st year in SHS. I'll be choosing the STEM since it's quite connected to my dream course which is nursing. 2 years ago I've been thinking of what will I gonna choose as my pre med. Since I am also planning to enter medschool. And then suddenly nursing came up in my mind first before dreaming of becoming a doctor. I found this vid of yours 2 years ago , I am your supporter since I was in 7th grade due to thr fact that I admire you and I learned a lot from you especially in pursuing med school. By this video it makes me feel so sure that THIS course might be the best for me. Thank you Doc.
Thank goodness that I found this video. I'm currently a SHS stem student graduate and incoming 1st yr college this sy (2021-2022). I'm actually pretty excited and scared at the same time that's why I watch video like these para kahit paano ay may advice or idea ako sa course na kukunin ko. 1st choice ko talaga is medtech but then my shs advisor gave me an idea na maganda din ang nursing lalo na at I want to become a surgeon (cardio thoracic surgeon). I completely agree and realized na nursing is definitely a good option since you'll study for 4 yrs and may time ka pa magdecide whether gusto mo talagang maging doctor and if not naman, still a good choice since you'll be able to help not only yourself but other people through this course. If anyone could read my comment, sa mga currently incoming 2nd yr or yung mga RN po baka meron pa po kayong advice on what should I do po regarding sa pre-med course na kukunin ko (which is nursing) and maganda ba itong start lalo na sa dream ko which is becoming a Cardio thoracic surgeon? Btw, thank youuu for this video, got lot of help talaga❤️
Currently a 2nd year nursing student under the new K-12 Curriculum. Challenging talaga kapag nursing student under the new curriculum pero the hard work pays off, it's like another bonus in life since may exposure na sa hospital at sa mga interaction ng mga patients. I've always dreamt to become a doctor since our province lacks of it and I will continue pursuing my dream despite the obstacle #RoadToMD #SoonToBeRNandMD
DokAura this video really helped me. I’m a grade 10 student and incoming senior high student and I’m confuse if I’ll take the STEM strand because the med is in that strand and I’m also confuse on what Pre-Med I’ll take when I start to enter the college world. It really helps me to understand what Nurses are, on some point I doubt if I’m able to surpass the pre-med nursing since it coasts a lot of money but since this video tackled every details on what a Nurse doing I realized that it is not hard pala you just need ng tiyaga and even though na puyatan talaga siya masaya pa ren naman pala. DokAura I really want to be a surgeon and this video clear the big question mark on my brain. This video was so very informative and I’m so happy that I found this video. I’m so very confused talaga DokAura on what pre-med I’m going to take but after watching this video I’m proudly say that I’ll take the pre-med Nursing without any doubt🙂. I want cry DokAura without a reason after I watched this video because It really helped me to understand what a Nurse is.🥺❤️ DokAura plss patuloy niyo po ang paggawa ng video like this it really helps a lot po🥺❤️
Natawa ako sa “biochem? May gusto ba non?” because it’s one of the most dreaded subjects in first year med. By the way, I’m a nurse also and i find it very useful especially during my clerkship (and i think even for the people whom i was working with nung clerkship also) kasi at least may background na kami sa ginagawa sa wards/clinical areas so di na nila kailangang magturo ganon; and i think that’s an edge: more on the clinical side na ng med school.
Legit truee!! Nursing is for people who are curious. Lagi kang excited pumasok kasi alam mong may bago kang matutunan.
Super abangers ako sa pre-med series :) promise :) kahit di ka med students :) or di ka aspiring med students :) i think maganda siya to know regarding the program na kinukuha mo :)
Kudos to Doc Aura for making this mini-series of pre-med courses! As a BS Nursing student in my last year of the Nursing program and currently applying to medical schools - This really emanates awareness on what it truly is like as a course. Much love
Hi! Doc your the reason why I took bs nursing since I had watched your vlog and now I am a first year college student, thank u for all the informative videos that you uploaded. It was really a big help for us.
hello! This video really pushes me to go to the Med. school this coming next school year. I am a grade 12 student somewhere in the Philippines and this was the first video that I have watched due to my curiosity about this course, but now, I gladly admit that I have really loved this course since then. Rest assured that I will do my best to fulfill my dreams together with my surroundings by giving them the right wings to fly once that I accomplished my tasks.
Ang ganda ng series na to kahit nasa college na ko at nakapili na ko ng course, wala lang ang entertaining lang panoorin haha More power to you Dra. Aura 💕
This is what I've been waiting for😍 thank you po Doktaura for this. I am an incoming first year student and I will take nursing also as my pre med course😊
Nursing wasn’t my first choice for my college course until nag shs ako and took stem. I decided to go for nursing in college, mas na excite ako after watching this video. Thanks dokt aura.☺️☺️
Thankyou po for sharing this amazing video as a 1st year nursing student sobrang namotivate po ako mag-aral pa ng mabuti dahil alam kong nasa tama akong course at marami akong matututunan.
Tagal ko inantay. Ito na 😂 Freshmen Bs in nursing👋 iba yung saya kapag nakakatulong ka sa iba 😍 It always worth it ika nga nila. TY Doctora Aura for this po. God bless!
2021 still watching your videos po, grabe dami ko pong natutunan and nakatulong po talaga sya sa akin na nag dedecide pa kung ano kukunin na course 😅, thank you.
Actually i was really thinking what would i take as my pre med course but as i watch this vid. I kinda like the idea being a nurse as my pre med course. Thank you
Nursing wasn’t my first choice as a pre med course but somehow, I ended up taking it since late ako nag entrance exam sa university ko so naubusan daw ako ng slot sa BS Biology. I planned to shift pagdating ko ng second semester but when that time came, I was torn if itutuloy ko pa yung pagshift ko to Bio since nainlove na ako sa mga subjects and sa idea ng ginagawa ng mga nursing students (hospital exposure and the likes.) My brother advised me this:
“Kung dumating man ang time na hindi ka na kayang pagaralin nila Mama for med school at mananatili ka sa isang profession for the rest of your life, saan mo mas gusto? Sa Bio or sa Nursing?”
That hit me. I still wanted to be in the medical field kahit di ako makapag doctor.
Now I am a registered nurse (kakapasa ko pa lang last Nov 2019) and hopefully, makapagstart na ko ng 1st yr med sa SY 2020-2021.
Bottomline is, choose a premed course that you definitely would enjoy and love, and at the same time, yung naiimagine mong pwede mong maging profession for the rest of your life.
nakapag-enroll ka na po? :)
hi po, incoming college student po ako this s.y and i want to take nursing as my pre med..
soon, i want to pursue my career as a cardiologist, magandang premed po ba ang nursing for cardiology?
Hi po ate,I want to take bs nursing as my pre med. Can I be an Obgyn kahit po yun yung pre med ko?
my professor said that nursing students make the most caring doctors ♡ also it would be easier for a nursing grad to work with nurses because they have been on their shoes before! hehe 1st yr bsn here :)
Hi frend hehehe, also our professor once said that behind great doctor is a great nurse😁
@@jonarparinas2126 😍
BS Nursing represent! Lola Florence Nightingale is proud of us hahahaha
Alfonso Joaquin Adriano and also the rest of all theorists 💛
I love how Doc. Aura justified that nursing isn't easy haha.
Exactly! People should know how toxic and draining the field of nursing can be. And we're not just mere humans who collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers, but most especially, nurses are the backbone of the hospital.
Coudn't agree more! Very well said!

It’s official! Im taking nursing as my pre-med!!! Thankyouuu Dra.A❣️
Good luck and study HARD!
GREAT CHOICE! ✨
you better be ready! hahaha

Proud RN here!! Actually, I'm an aspiring soon to be MD!! 👩🏻⚕️
Palagi ko sinasabi sa sarili ko na hindi talaga ako magna-nurse but here I am, considering nursing as one of my choices for pre-med.
💯 As a novice nurse who has a plan to pursue med school, this video really made me confident and proud that I chose nursing. Thank you doc Aura
PS.

@@izzyaxis7880 i also encountered like this and i'm under the strand of STEM. It actually depends of what nurses would likely to order with you. we even clean up a person with diabetis and witnessed a dying patient.
I witnessed a mother giving birth the first time when I was 5 years old.😳
BS Nursing is my premed course.
Hello Future RN
I feel you po. Ganyan rin ako now.

What’s your first choice po bakit mas pinili mo ang nursing?

Any tips for incoming 1st yr nursing students?🥺do i have to study or review in advance?

i hope doc you'll interview present/future doctors that have their premed courses as 'non-medical fields' kung anong klaseng struggles or how did they cope up or nakaapekto ba sya sa studying in med school. i hope this one will ve consideredddd.

That's it!!

when i was young, masakitin po ako. palagi akong na ho hospital pero sobrang weird po ng pakiramdam ko kapag nasa hospital po ako. i really admired those doctors, nurses, and other medical workers. hindi ko po alam pero yung feeling po kapag nasa hospital po ako, it kinda feels like home. and i know that time, dream ko na talaga maging doctor. simula bata pa ako, gustong gusto ko talaga yung scent ng hospital. kakapasok mo palang parang gusto ko ng mamalagi duon. gusto ko na talaga maging doctor and tumulong sa mga pasyente pero I was too young that time. when i was 15 years old, namatay yung lola ko. she was in the icu that time nung buhay pa sya pero 50/50 na yung buhay nya and i wished that time na sana ako nalang yung doctor na kasi gagawin ko ang lahat para mabuhay sya. lahat ng makakaya ko ibubuhos ko. pumunta ako sa cr that time and i nadaanan ko yung ward ng mga bata. sumilip ako sa may door at nakatayo lang ako sa main door doon. feeling ko that time, doctor na ako and i was motivated talaga na maging doctor pag laki ko and i should do well sa studies ko. now that i am a g12 student, magiging college student na next year (2022), I am still confused kung anong pre-med ang pipiliin ko. Can I ask for anyone's opinion po?
thank you so much Doc for thissss 💛 you’re giving us a glimpse on the preparations for the roadtoMD🙏🏻 1st year Nursing student heeeere 👽
I love nursing talaga!♥ buti pala nagshift ako from psych!!!
Psych here planning to shift din huhu
@@kateseverino sml?
@@nasrecto3538 hahahaha medj
hello po, may i ask what made you shift? is it because of the set-up/subjects of psych? top two choices ko po kasi psych and nursing
@@kateseverino hello, omg bat nag attitude ako? i'm really sorry.
Proud! All related! 🥰 In the end, nursing is chosen by the heart not because you will think of it as your pre-med. Ienjoy niyo ang nursing or any course you take as your pre- med ☺️☺️☺️
Ngayong lockdown talaga the best manood ng gantong videos haha
I've always dreamt to become a doctor since our province lacks of it and I will continue pursuing my dream despite the obstacle

I want cry DokAura without a reason after I watched this video because It really helped me to understand what a Nurse is.🥺❤️
DokAura plss patuloy niyo po ang paggawa ng video like this it really helps a lot po🥺❤️
Much love

Manifesting to be a nurse and hopefully to be a doctor after 10 years!✨🤞
