Give Aljo his props, man. Hasn’t lost since 2017 and now back to back title defenses. 🙌🏽
He sucks 😂
🤡🤡

Beats O’Malley and goes up to 45 😎
That is crazy how mid 2017 cody was 11-0 and just beat the 135 goat and sterling was 14-2. Then at the end of the year cody was koes by tj and sterling was koed by marlon. 6 years later cody is 2-4 being koed 3 times and sterling is 9-0. You can never truly judge how great a fighter will be

Dude Aljo is the man right now.
Aljo has won me over as a fan. He's the rightful champion and deserves the respect of a champion. I didn't like how he originally got the belt with the Oscar performance but in the second fight he proved himself and has ever since.
How is it an Oscar performance when he literally had to have an artificial disc put into his spinal chord
@@vblegh1620 I’m team Aljo but he always had that neck injury, he took the DQ Rightfully! knowing he wasn’t 100% but he knew if he was he could beat Peter and he did.
Anthony smith could not say that about Jon Jones.

@Drew well yeah, he head to win us over. Others just sort of instantly demand the respect
Aljo is a savage man. 23-3 and on a 9 fight win streak, 3 consecutive defenses. I think he should stay at 135 though and rack up defenses.
his winning streak ended in yan fight and his acting career began
@@baeualoevvstay salty
And he should be 25-1
@@JakeAllen3 na he lost those 2 decisions fair and square
@@baeualoevv Even if it was ruled a no contest and not a DQ win, it’s still counts for a win streak
Look at Leon Edwards and Bella Muhammad’s NC which didn’t break their win streaks at all
All it would change in an alternate universe where it was a NC and not a DQ would be subtracting 1 from Aljo’s streak and title defense.
But it should be a DQ, being a champion doesn’t exclude you from rules
I was a doubter once but Aljo earned my respect 100% - can't wait to see his future develop to even higher heights.
And that's the think tho... Why? Where was ur doubts coming from? People forget what put Aljo in title contention to begin with.
But this is not the fastest. Figgy turned around in a month against Moreno. Their first fight. Both came back in a month to fight for the title
@@hazahizabbanzabalawan3815 I think the doubts came with the way he won the belt, but I am now convinced this man is the real deal.

@@imperator_odin the part of the video where Aljo says " we all know Sean O'Malley's Kryptonite..."
Aljo's title defenses so far have all been former champions. Says alot about his skill.
Furthermore, Dillashaw and Cejudo never lost their belts in the octagon, meaning any argument of linearity lies with Aljo too
He cutting 40 pounds …
great skill avoiding the fight on his knees abusing a rule. great skill! maybe even better than his worldclass striking :DDDD
@@mmacult5336 lmao cope

I forgot about that one. What a badass.
Yeah 3 weeks is insane
And look at him now
Seeing Aljo’s success continuously reminds me that Anthony Smith should’ve taken the DQ.
Yea but Smith would have to beat Jones in a rematch 😂
Been seeing this same comment alot and I gotta say , I agree
Yeah except aljo won the rematch and Jon jones got bored folded smith up like a chair before potential DQ. and he’d become a vegetable if they ever rematched 😂
W interview for Aljo, dude really does mix in Self belief & reality well, suprised people don’t give him his props more tbh! Feel like he’s very quietly solidified his legacy!
every time a fighter is behind in a championship fight they hear Usman's *DON'T LET HIM BULLY YOU SON* in their head
You mean Leons Coach LoL?
To answer Aljo’s question: Usman fought in February 2021 against Burns and then turned around to rematch Masvidal in April in fights that got back to back Performance of the Night bonuses. That’s the kinda champ we lost folks 😭
As if Masvidal is some elite fighter lmao. Jobber he is
His shoulder got Bully B'd.

The guy's just so open, honest and relatable in interview. Every time he tries to be a little slick; he falls back into just being himself within a few moments.
I'll never like his fighting style but I love his interviews and how available he is to the media
It's crazy that people choose to hate this man for no reason. Some people love being miserable 😂.
I like Sterling, a humble but confident, young man.

Aljo stay authentic, vulnerable, honest, and confident. That’s why I like you and glad you’re champ. 👊🏾
Aljo is always a great interview, very natural . But when it’s a fight it and he hits the mic it’s not the same . Underrated champion
I wish he could just be himself and not get so defensive before and after fights. His personality is so likable which is why he has such loyal friends. I just wish he could be himself. But I get why he gets so defensive.
Haha. That's what I was thinking too. If he could speak better in the octagon he would gain a lot more fans, because he is really good to listen to, he's highly intelligent and accomplished
I like Aljo, he’s grown on me. Classy dude. Best of luck brother 👊
aljo is one of the smartest guys we have in the ufc, the way he breaks down his own fights, humbly, is a joy. ill always be rooting for him. speaks way better than suga too
If Aljo talked like this all the time EVERYONE would love him
He honestly does though
Aljo: 🍺 Cheers!
Ariel: 🧐 Did you bring me one?
Aljo: 🥴 No.
🤣💀
The fact that Henry was surprised at how good Aljo’s wrestling is, goes to show the level that Aljo is competing at.
Aljo has gnarly leg kicks which would stifle the movement of Sean, and great wrestling aka Sean's easiest path to being defeated. Unless sterling comes in mentally weak, I don't see him losing
@Mike Oxharry exactly so I don't see that being a problem either. His team is made up of champions
Will be a horrible fight. Miss guys like khabib that will throw hands with the best just to prove a point. Leg kicking and holding people without inflicting much damage stinks to watch
@@WobblyRoosterrrally khabib lmao
@@WobblyRooster Khabib? Seems like you only saw one of his fights. He only ever threw hands with Conor. Because he was pissed. He is a terrible example. Glover is a much better example.
Aljo did more damage to his own feet with his kicks than he did to henry.
Aljo deserves the highest props and mad respect for ascending in his division !
Sterling is becoming my favorite fighter 🙏
Before the 1st Yan fight I was A HUGE fan… I honestly didn’t think he would win the title after the 1st fight to be real.
This man has come such a long way. He’s such a humble and nice guy as well. 🙏🔥
Oh yeah, and a KILLER with a nasty khabib like ground game and solid striking!!
He looks like a mini Dontay Wilder to this day.
im so happy that Ariel has this platform. It’s important that there’s an entity capable of pushing back against Dana white and his henchmen.
"at the end of the day" "with that being said" Aljo loves those two phrases lol
Aljo is a great champ! the man is well spoken and he keeps his ego at bay. MMA fans are not fighting inside the cage.
Hate it or love it Aljo is the champ‼️
And he deserves Respect ‼️‼️
Major respect to aljo for not judging the dudes who take steroids after breaking bones
before it kinda felt like the UFC makes it look like the Champ has a say in who they're gonna fight
but now it looks straight up disrespectful, like they brought Colby in and DC told Leon to call out Colby and when he said Colby doesn't deserve it Dana just went ahead and confirmed it, I mean he didn't even say anything like "we're gonna talk about it and figure it out" he just steamrolled Leon, and if this is in public just imagine how it is behind the scenes.
All my respect to Aljo.
I did not think he was gonna win that fight with his striking but it has improved and he was out striking Henry imo especially with the kicks. Aljo is the man🇺🇸👌
Thank you! That face off was a second too soon, and it's not on Sean. I can't help but feel that whatever management/ media ppl don't like Aljo push for these little micro-slights. I wasnt always an Aljo fan, but how can you not love this guy after his journey?
How can anyone dislike this guy? Get on a uk card he has a massive backing here that I don’t think he even realises
Backpack gang lets gooooooo Aljo 🎒🎒🦾
Very smart guy, cool to see this side of him and hope he has continued success in his career
Aljo studied Henry so hard he started to talk like him.
I was at the UFC Charlotte event this past weekend and Alja legit never stopped interacting with the fans. Taking pictures and shaking hands basically the entire time. That was really cool to me, the new people’s champ.
Remember when Aljo had an after fight interview he said I'm coming on that _ _ _...😂😆 🤣
Wait did Aljo just say that Merab is on steroids ?
"If i was on steroids my conditioning would be better like merab"
"he's got a tiny head, I mean I've got a tiny head too but you know who doesn't have a tiny head? Henry, I mean have you seen the size of that thing? straight out of minecraft" -Aljo probably
I love Aljo.
So endearing and detailed.
Man I love Sean O’malley, but aljo has really been growing on me. Would be cool to see Aljo keep the belt, he’s so humble and backing up Francis decisions was really nice. Can’t wait for this fight
Aljo funny asf for not bringing Ariel a drink😂
Super proud of Team AlJo & Crew. Great folks.
Sterling’s run before even getting to the title was impressive as hell. I remember thinking there’s no way you should have to face Corey for a title shot.
Aljo is my favourite fighter now. He's good inside and outside the octagon
Aljo wildnn fr, I respect him after the Henry fight
I used to absolutely hate Aljo, but here I am now loving this man 🎉
I still don't like him but I do respect him.
Aljo is a straight forward dude. We need some respect for the champ.
the funky style consists of using "grounded opponent" rule to its full potential
Amazing the difference between weight cut Aljo and post fight rehydrated celebration mode Aljo. Happy he got the win.
crazy to think Marlon Moraes KOd him and the way their careers went after respectively
Moraes was already on his way out tbh
Aljo is a cool dude man
Damn finally someone shut Cejudo up thank you so much Sterling.
This man has won me over and from the comments many others as well. I still think he lost to Henry but either way it went it was the highest level MMA from two great champs.
Aljo is a bright dude man, What Ngannou has signed with PFL is essentially what Aljo is talking about here!
People need to give Ajio respect after the henry fight
Aljo is cool but he brings up the haters and then in the same sentence basically will say that it doesnt bother him.. he vents a bit too much sometimes but i like his honesty
Favorite active fighter. Let's go 🦁 - Leo boyyyy
Great episode.
All of Sterling's talk of going up a weight class and beating Volk next is crazy talk. He should be scared of losing to Sean. Never overlooked O'Malley. I smell upset...
