No one knows how Stan Getz got that unique sound on the tenor. I believe was in his heart and soul, not as some say....it’s this mouthpiece...that Reed strength....a Selmer Mark....Getz was a one off...

The only guys I can think of who are in that ballpark in terms of sound were Johnny Hodges and Paul Desmond.
