Excellent video. I used to do this, Lancaster Malleable Castings, Lancaster, PA. Safety equipment was spats to keep iron from getting into your shoes. Your shoes had to have Neoprene soles so they would not ignite if you got molten iron on them. And, steel toes. Safety lenses to prevent molten iron from hitting your glasses and causing them to crack. Many molders were shirtless. If molten iron splatters and hits sweaty skin it bounces off. This was almost fifty years ago and much of products that we used to make are made from plastic now.
My uncle drove truck for Posey Ironworks. Nice to see another Lancasterian out and about.
So 3M is a great company
looks a little dangerous. Health and safety is very different to England.
In a few years, kids with 3D printers will see this and say "what the F... is this?!".
I'm 30 and have no clue wtf I just watched...
3D printing has a lot of catching up to do in the speed of production compared to sand casting.
I don't think kids with 3D printers will be doing metal any time soon
6 years later and i'm using my 3D printer for printing sand casting patterns lol
Sand casting solid metal would last years even decades while 3d printing would last few months 😂😂
Saw some of the other comments about safety...agreed. At a minimum the guys should have kick off safety shoes, spats, Kevlar sleeves, and face protection. Molds sometimes explode due to moisture or pouring on a cold surface.
Good Video Mr.德政行. Does your product adhere to the IS Codes?
Perfect Job.Your sand casting process is different ours, learning.
Should pass OSHA inspection no problem
+Keegon “Kmdude344” McPherson No Scheisse keegs. hence the sarcasm
Hi, can anyone tell me what material is made and the male that goes inside the sand, the one that keeps the vasio space?
dond dell me whad do do
I worked at a foundry and the product that was the core, the "male", was white and came in bags that referred to it as "industrial corn".
What a sloppy molder, after taking the pattern out, and closing the mold.....he wipes the top of the drag off with his hand......how can he be sure he didn't push sand down the pouring sprue hole
Nice
👌👌👌🚩
Learned a lot of knowledge.
Like Casting Manufacturing Process.
If you want a new casting plant in Vietnam please contact with me at hungdao@ptsc.com.vn

Where's the safety glasses and shoes. MUST BE CHINA......
@Un5t0pPa8l:3 LU lol exactly it's literally in the description. It's probably worse in some parts of China
Hello, what is the name of the molding machine you are using?
Fred
+the push your comment really made me laugh
I really get what happened, that's all?
I run multiple core making machines for iron castings. We use silica sand and dmea gas to harden the sand core. Interesting.
my nan is also my grandad
