      @@Lordoftherobe Oh I have no doubt what them owning GGG can do, I just didn't pay attention to the fact that GGG was acquired by them til you mentioned it.
      Yea, as much as I like alot of parts of POE2, it has a huge amount of issues to fix and I really hope Tencent's influence doesn't prevent that.
      It has the backbone to be a good game, but it needs to be way less restrictive and put push away from the AH and back to killing monsters for loot.

      @@Gumblethebear unfortunately there are now third party websites based in China that sell the currency and more in PoE2.
      Thats why there's more of a focus on the AH and not playing the game for loot. Even end game items are sold there for maps and such and from what I found most of not all are based in China.

    • @Gumblethebear
      @Gumblethebear 23 дня назад

      @@Lordoftherobe Yea this is something GGG could have absolutely predicted and built the game around killing monsters and crafting for yourself, which would have nearly elminated the market for third parties.
      The way they did it is the opposite of this though, which will likely ruin economies of leagues past the first few weeks.

    I get what you mean and agree somewhat, but this is early-access and there is a lot of content they are holding back for the full release. The characters we are playing now will be deleted on release.

      @Lordoftherobe  24 дня назад

      @@Irohbro idk the devs seem more focused on slowing players down through nerfs and adding to the micro-transactions store than actually adding to the game.
      From the patch notes alone they mainly have only fixed bugs here and there through hot fixes while nerfing player builds.
      On top of that since skills are so on rails they have created a problem of just "most optimized builds" and due to respecing being so high still no one wants to experiment.
      And due to the enemies being so over tuned (especially ranged enemies) people don't want to reroll characters to redo the entire game all over again. Act 1 was fun, but then act 2 &3 become slogs because the maps get bigger and less rewarding. Rare enemies drop magic and normal items even though some have ridiculous modifiers making them a chore to fight with 0 rewards.
      Plus gear is so dependent now that it really is the thing that makes or breaks this game instead of builds being able to make up for the slack

    You forget how annoying it was in PoE to roll a 6-Socket the right Colors so that your Skill Gems fit in.
    Just that it had the right Values wasn't enough, the Sockets also had to be in the right Color, so I think it's better that they separated it here.
    And as for the Weapon Skills: you can combine them (e.g. Bow/Crossbow) because they both require Dex, just like Int Skills can be combined with different Weapons, which effectively allows for many more Builds.
    AH was already there in the first part.
    What's new is that after completing Act 3 for the first time you unlock the in-game Currency Exchange where you can, for example, exchange 1 Chaos Orb for 2 Ex, which makes crafting good Equipment a lot easier, more than half of my Gear is self-made upgrades from white/blues.

    • @Lordoftherobe
      @Lordoftherobe  24 дня назад

      @@wakkru thing is you're still limited to the weapon. So if you're using a staff then you can't use half the available talents (same with mace).
      Granted it was annoying to have to reroll gear slots to fit the right color but that's not as annoying as having to rng your entire gear set and still be limited moves wise.
      Not to mention with staff you can go frost or power storm build which doesn't utilize the majority of other spells under occult or sorcery especially if you go lighting power build which just seems the most viable for monk sadly.
      One minor inconvenience should not have been the cause of limiting customization, especially when they just went ahead and turned what was one minor inconvenience from the old game into a major inconvenience through crafting.

      @@Lordoftherobeyou’re right about one thing Poe 2 fans like me aren’t from Poe 1 but that being said the game isn’t fully out yet so to think it’s going to be a Diablo 4 simulation wild, the stuff you say about Poe 1 from what I gathered is the company handicapped you so you can do whatever shit build and excel, the game will be better than Poe 1 and Diablo the reason you’re salty is because you’re used to easy access to becoming a GOD vs having to use your brain. The biggest thing to understand is understanding definitions like “Early Access” says more about your intelligence than the folks that enjoy the “Early Access”

      @@imLeyt0n no the games not hard, just loot is too far and in between during the campaign. Also builds mattered in poe1 unlike PoE2 where gear is what progresses you.
      You could have shit gear but if your build was good you could still progress. Yet the skills in this game are fucking pathetic and generic ass shit which don't even matter.
      Let's look at monk;
      Oh wow I can go either ice or lightning wowza so much fucking diversity. Even the goddamn moves are all the same just a different flavour of fuckin element.
      And I can tell you never played poe1 because PoE2 is far easier due to everything being dependent on gear.
      Resistances? All on loot whereas you had skills in the passives that could provide element resistance in poe1.
      Overall you're a prime example of why PoE2 is turning into crapass Diablo 4 then wonder why AAA games are trash now. Look in the mirror peasant as you're the one ruining the industry defending downgrades cause asmonbald said "gam gud derp".
      Go back to your phone games as that's what you like, paying to progress instead of actually playing to progress
