That it doesn't matter what or how you build your character as only gear matters. @@Lordoftherobe why would he have to post a video showing himself clearing a map? You're the one making claims about gear being the only thing that matters, so its on you to provide evidence of this. Clearing the campaign isn't proof of that, as it's very early game. Maps are where the game really picks up. If you do anything other than clear a T16 waystone (min 5 modifiers) with just "good gear", then we'll know how disingenuous you are.

@Lordoftherobe high level gear is meant for endgame maps anyway. If you manage to get overpowered gear early on in the game then that would confirm your bias about builds not mattering. In reality builds do matter in t10 and above maps. Also, reminding you that the game is early access is not defending. You're being overly critical of a game that hasn't been fully released yet. Again it says early access, you know what you're getting.

@@emz1412 repeating the same mistakes AGAIN and going "it's early access teehee" is indeed an excuse peasant. It's basically their attempt at testing the waters and seeing if their gamers have any self respect, a good example is how destiny 1 transitioned to destiny 2 and then repeated every mistake destiny 1 had already fixed. And there is op gear at lower levels, in fact you can basically get to end game without using any passives because gear can supplement it. Need more stats? (int, str, dex) well gear has it. need more damage? Well weapons have it. Worst off is you don't even get the gear yourself but can use the auction house to buy your way to victory which defeats the purpose of this being an arpg. Remember blizzard 3 the live auction house? (Probably not seeing how you're a modern gamer and have the attention span of a goldfish) But you could buy gear with real money and the devs reduced loot drops just to make gear more scarce and priced. PoE2 is legit the same thing with extra steps. You can go to third party Chinese farm sites>buy exalted orbs with real money>go to the auction site and buy whatever gear that's low level and op> then romp through the entire campaign to end game.

@@Lordoftherobe Again, high level gear will only supplement early game. Once you reach maps that's not the case anymore and you need a good build with stats that synergize. The only way you get high level gear early on is you simply get very lucky with crafting, drops and uniques, or someone boosts you. Most early players wont even have 10 ex orbs because the drop rate is low. If you spend those few ex orbs on gear then yes, you can find stuff to make early game much easier, but it'll only be for acts 1-3. Cruel is different. Once you reach maps, you need gear with specific mods to boost your build or you're not gonna survive. I made it through cruel act 3 with relatively low deaths because at that point I had been crafting and trading what little orbs I had for good gear. I didn't even make it to T4 maps before I needed to completely rework my build and how my gear supplemented it. It just seems like you're a bad player trying to make something out of nothing. Again, its EARLY ACCESS. Almost every ability, drop rate, and even the trading is subject to change. Now, overwhelming majority of players are not buying ex orbs for real money because thats loser behaviour. I haven't heard of a single person I know buying any kind of orb for real money, so that point is just worthless.

Let's use a real life scenario to compare an early access game that didn't learn from its mistakes already: You hire a construction company to build you a house, as it's in the construction phase you get it inspected and find out the base of the house is faulty, the wiring is all wrong, and the construction is overall horrendously done. So the company comes out and fixed all the code violations and makes it livable. Then you have them build another house, and every single mistake they made from the first house is once again present in the second house. Do you just throw your hands on the air and say oh well it's an early build of the house so no reason to find fault with the construction company? The games centered around gear, which in turn puts more focus on the psuedo auction house, which in turn gets third party sites that sell exalted orbs and end game currency for real money more traction. @ that’s true in the high level end game. I was coming from someone who plays SSF, it feels like the skill tree can help get you through some break points. It is a big mess and I wish it had even more impactful skills closer together.

Fog on map reappears when it shouldnt, graphical glitches making the screen flicker in towns and black screen after loading in, rubber band lag, some mobs have way smaller hit boxes than they should, and my "favorite" one it's froze my series x 3x to where I had to unplug it to turn off after just 30 minutes of gameplay. The last one has been 3x within the first day playing (yesterday). It's early access so it's to be expected but I really hope the get this fixed especially the bricking consoles.

@@justincasey995 yeah, its an MORPG in early access. valid criticism but expected. its too hard for casual players, item rarity buffs are unnecessarily OP and if you don't have any you will never find enough waypoint maps, orbs or barya/inscripts. with the server running as they are the ascensions are often impossible and the entry items are too hard to farm (on the level you like) and it often is absolutely impossible to advance since the buffs/debuffs are extremely random and you can make enemies absolutely invincible to your build very fast and easy. botfarmers and hackers love this game. warrior builds that rely on armor and life leech are royally F´ed because of the honor system... the game has lots of issues and most will stay because: the same thing happened in PoE. but some issues will go away like they were never there.

@@loloxloloxlolox downgrading player abilities doesn't make a game more hardcore. It just means the devs are shit at game design and took the easy way out. A great example that happened this year is how arrowhead nerfed all their guns and player power "to make the game hardcore" when the reality was they were nerfing weapons to push out new warbonds. Now look at PoE2 where the games "hardcore" by nerfing player power and placing it all on gear. Now look at the auction house and realize this games ENTIRE existence is based around gear. Gear you can buy with ex orbs which are rare in the campaign. Now see how broken the economy is where mediocre gear costs around 10 ex orbs at least. Now piece together why there are third party sites selling ex orbs for real money. Tencent has created a money mill farm off of manufactures difficulty because the devs are holding back gear drops. @Lordoftherobe What are you talking about? I finished my first campaign run with 19 exalts and I'm doing my second run with my girl and even splitting them, I've gotten four by act three normal. You can immediately upgrade your gear when you get to endgame with a basic set of stats you want for 1-5 exalts a piece. What they said is they didn't want to devalue the feeling of getting rares because that's exactly what diablo 4 did, clutter the screen with a bunch of rares that are useless 99.9% of the time, which made loot unexciting Not to mention the notion that tencent owns all of the third party exalt sellers is laughable. Brother these are groups of individuals who just run bots from home and pocket everything, why would they want to split that profit with a corporation. I'm not saying the loot drop rates are perfect, but they are a far cry from strangling the player* base, if that was the case the numbers would reflect that. Poe 2 has had a very steady huge active player base, and again, fine tuning numbers is exactly something that would be expected from an early access

Not to mention it took more than what your stating as they had to create a tab in game to display on a third party websites meaning they had to use a network and then the process of whispering to said person from said third party site requires a deeper code than just 2 lines.

@@exdaedalus it's not just warriors. All the percentages are based on your gear. If you have shit gear it won't matter if you have 50% spell crit and 30% spell penetration when your weapon deals 5 damage. Same with energy shield which is why the auction house is so damn important to majority of players because if you don't have then you don't progress.
