Not quite what I expected from the boss fight. It has a feeling of more inspiration than a dark deep fight given how deep we are into this war.
I mean of course, man! We might as well have an epic moment against this garbage dude
Kinda fits. I think this battle is there to show Amiya's conviction. It shows, that, even tho' Duq'arael is clearly superior in pure strength and arts prowess, Amiya will still hold for her ambitions but she is also no longer that innocent little bunny that she was before
So the vampire guy is the boss for this chapter? I knew it.
The theme also really feels different than the previous chapters before. It's pretty dramatic yet majestic, despite fighting a boss

@@kraney195sasuga in this context means a praise, kinda like "As expected of...". HG being called a music company is an inside joke in the community, because Arknights have tons of banger music, almost as if it's a music company that released a game

They definitely went for an epic, rousing atmosphere here. Looking forward to the associated fight.
Compared to the second battle BGM, this sounds dramatic and grandoise, like scaling a mountain.

@MostimaHusband yeah this chapter really dispel the air of an upstart "brat" that he has when compared to being like NK and Dazmati who has existed since the original sarkaz form. he's still a few thousands yrs old court king much older than theresis and theresa
This is good, it's like we're in dire spot but reached an enlightenment, or finding a new resolve and fight using it to break through something.
Also the nuance is really welcomed because from 10, 11, 12 we're always getting this tension, it's dire, we don't have enough time, or worry over a single mistake.
My personal favorite - Sanguinarch.
From Ep13, and even ever since Ch11, we know he is a tragic Sarkaz who works relentlessly for the peace of Sarkaz. The TRUE restoration of their home and planet from the bloody invaders.
While revenge is toxic to oneself, he held it high.
For 5 centuries-or-more, ever since slain the Feramnut and before ascending to the Crimson Court, he has seen countless tragedies - countless fails, countless meaningless deaths and gore butcherings of Kazdel and the Sarkaz, killing his brother was a result of the cumulative disappoinment and sadness of the fragility of the Crown's choices to choose it's Kings.
The crown used to choose a lumberjack and all common Sarkaz who know nothing about their history and themselves. Basically destruction after destruction.
And for 5 centuries, his goals and ideal of Sarkaz and Teekaz pride has not wavered.
While he has killed, it is a reminder that these people are not innocent either. And not to forget the nature of Vampires.
He blessed the entirety of Sarkaz bloodline using his power, even Logos during their fight.
He stayed until the very last end.. to repel the invaders and restore the glory of Teekaz and their home from the arrogant.
He was mocked and hated by everyone, including the dead Sarkaz in the Myriad Souls. Just simply because they were never able to match how much he has endured, seen juxtaposed to the future he foresees for the haven of Teekaz free from the arrogant conquests of the Ancients and Elders throughout the 10k years.
He's aware people think he was blinded by hatred, but he says he knows the truth, and that's why he's relentless - and that's true. Nobody who knows the truth... Just sits there.
In ch13, even the original suffering of Sarkaz is caused by Originium. Which is also Doc Civ... Again... Alien invaders.
The tragedy of Sanguinarch is so esoteric it makes me wanna defend this character like crazy 24/7 because many are blinded by his personality, which is quite understandable but unfortunately not under the given context.
and bloodthirst (which are very normal for Vampires.. including Warfarin and Closure)
He knows the history,
He knows the outcome,
He knows the lies and manipulation of facts,
He knows the truth.
At least, he admits he feels fear compared to the relentless souls of Djall tribes and other tribes, even despite their hostility "who tortured the night away" from their war cries and strength and unwavering vengeance against the invaders.
He is much better than the hypocrite Kal'tist in regards to this aspect, of idealism. Just my opinion.
As Kal'tist kilIed innocent Sarkaz and haunts the Sarkaz everyday. I mean, you literally mentioned, one example of many, one dialogue implying her being female Adolf against them.
I mean anyone who knows the strength of Letihanen, Gaul and Victoria 500 years ago knows how crazy she is for sending three of them on a small "country" that literally just repaired itself and cannot even stand on its own legs. Only for the reason of "the land cannot contain your hatred anymore" and because she only wants the head of the King of Sarkaz.
My view of him is completely flipped because of your comment. I am here to say thank you for my new found appreciation in his character.

At first before all story of terra and Tekazz unfold i always thought sarkaz just ancient demon and after that CH12 upfold everything and Babel event i was dumbfounded it's just more tragic than any fictional sory I've been read so far and yes Doctor is much more tragic

@@al4vv82 it's more tragic when you read how the Myriad Souls has tormented them, and how you see the main cast downplays their inherent right to Terra and downplays their birthright to defend their home from invaders.
Calling such attempts "ultranationalism"; i wrote a 21-22k letter essay about the Sarkaz (before ch14 and Babel) to express how downplayed they're.
Absolute cinema, indeed.

Sanguinarch just go "Well, what is it?" to everyone cause he knows they cannot actually defeat him in any meaningful ways. They had to resort to yeeting him to the ocean.

Man, The Vampire Prince is truly terrifying, plus the theme has that bit of leitmotif commonly associated with the Vampires

I think this theme does a good job of portraying exactly how Amiya felt about this entire fight, and in the aftermath. Deep down, she never really wanted to kill Duq'arael at all. Despite rejecting everything that he stands for, she remarks that the entire battle just made her feel strangely sad in the end.
One of the esoteric details is that Duq'arael never wanted to do that either.
He was trying to wake Logos up and use the pure Teekaz blood and kick the outblood Cautus.
When Hoedrerer went to complete the deal with the Lifebone Feramnut, he says they won by a minuscule difference.
It wasn't an all-out fight.
I guess we're fighting Blood Prince now

I'll be honest, this feels more like a theme dedicated to Amiya than your usual boss battle ost. It's as if it's triumphant tone could indicate her getting one step closer to "an ascension".
The Sanguinarch is just a temporary obstacle along the way, well in this case, her way.
