Which is better or easier, dry or wet shrinking?
Badass job bro 😎 congrats 👏
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video!
I need help on shrinking a sequoia back window is it the same steps as this ?
Can’t believe I’d still be tinting 3 years later and came to the same comment 😂
How are you not loosing your dry eraser line? I always use a china marker. Seems like the slip solution would make it come right off...
Tyson, thank you for the message. I use a sharpie, not a dry erase. You can use the china marker too I just don't prefer the slide-ability of that product.
The back is already privacy glass like the rear door windows right?
Yes
yes
That offers ZERO protection for the interior and its occupants. It's just a spray dye the manufacturers use.
What percent is that tint ? Nice work btw 👏
Thank you. I believe I was using 05%.
Thanks for the Awesome video. Audio quality really low
Thank you for the feed back.
Just wanted to add that the videos on our Instagram and website are very high quality!
I just butchered my back window hoping to do better this time around haha
You got this!
Would a 20 inch roll fit the back glass?
Good question I’m not sure.
It appears so, but not 100% sure without checking
Yes it worked for me
May i ask why not computer cut ? I’m new to tinting and trying to learn I just don’t know why not just computer cut is it not the way to go ?
It all depends on the shop and preference. There is no right or wrong way to do it. We hand cut about 75% of the time and use a plotter the other 25% of the time. Hope this helps.
@@thetintstitute im curious why not use the plotter? Wouldn’t it be much faster ?
@@so_crates1337sometimes it’s actually slower. Just grab the film and double cut and you’re ready to shrink and be done by the time you set up the plotter, cut, and weeding the film. Also, a lot of these software (especially Eastman) have shotty patterns on certain vehicles. Also don’t forget they don’t have patterns for older cars, or New cars that come out
Good 👍
Do you filter your water or use distilled water ???
we use both depending on the application!
@@thetintstitute ok
What is that tool called that holds the hatch? Thanks in advanced
Im not sure of the exact name but you can purchase it at fellers.com!
Where do u buy red devil tool ???
interwest.com !
You should take the 3 whole screws out and pop the rear panel off. Guaranteed dirt this way. Look at all the struggling to get it into place. Ridiculous that LLumar gives license to installers that don't even use a plotter lol
Good Lord you are very uneducated on window tinting. I hope you're not a window tinting business owner.
@@evansjustin2459 I think I just proved otherwise. Keep learning little guy.
Have you SEEN the patterns Core cuts? Trust me.. a lot of tint shops would rather hand cut then waste (expensive) llumar film. Don’t get me wrong, they’re great for 1/4 panels and sunroofs, but just bc you have a plotter, doesn’t mean you tint/shrink any better. My dad will cut, shrink and install 4 side windows before people can plot and weed all the needed film.
U should try 2 stages to avoid dirt contamination like any regular side door
I did use the 2 stage method.
what Austin Cook said!
He’s probably talking about trimming the top on the board then pulling the bottom after installing the top half!
why does tinting seem so stressful. lol
Is not easy!
