i use good reads and a free excel sheet template that i found online. i think the gr app works just fine (at least to my needs) and in the sheet i can track things like genre, was it a translation, how much money ive spent etc.
ive tried to use storygraph but i dont like how the app or site works and looks so im just giving up on it
I’m a pretty easy reader & tbr-bookshelf is just so cute & visually pleasing to me & I just looked for an app that allowed me to track the books I read so I have a yearly overview, so that’s definitely my fave. But I can definitely understand people, who need more stats & add read pages or track their progress & want some kind of community. I’m just here for the overview & the cute looks haha.
Oh I get that… for me tags are pretty important since I need to categorize the books for future videos or recommendations when people ask me for a certain trope…☺️
thank you for this video, it was really helpful :)
So glad you liked it💕
bookmory my beloved, the UI is scrumptious (I want it to have widgets so baaaad)
Yeah that would be so good😭☺️
Beanstack is good for children and for completing reading challenges with your local library.
Yeah that is kind of what I figured ☺️
This video was super helpful!
I'm so glad!🥰
@@Vivslittlelibrary 😊
I use Goodreads and bookly. I liked beanstack.
How do you use beanstack because for me it was more like a book club that a tracking app☺️
@@Vivslittlelibrary i don’t use it yet. I liked what you talked about it.
BookMory sounds perfect. But is there a free version or is it purely subscription based?
The free version is honestly all you need. You get access to everything besides some theme colors and a timeline of a book you read. For statistics it will ask you to either go premium or watch a 30s ad, and while sometimes you will get ads they don't really pop up that often. Sometimes if you are updating a book one might show up, but they get done so quickly it's easy to ignore, or at least for me.
Other features:
If you can't find the book you are reading you can add it with a simple tap, don't have to fill out a request form like other apps. Take a picture of the cover, or import it from the web, add the ISBN, publisher, author - what type of book are you reading: paper book, e-book, audio-book - how do you want to display the page/progress, page #, percentage, episode - add the total number of pages. You can put notes while you're reading if say you find yourself unable to read the book, you can leave a note with a summary of what you read last time as a review. You can put books on pause if you're a mood reader, you can also DNF or 'give up' as that's what it's called on Bookmory. I've used it for 3 months now and love it!
Also, the timer doesn't start when you open the book, you can choose to start it, or add in whatever time you kept track of for your book.
There is also a book calendar that you can set up to show the book/books you read that day and it will show up there, and if you don't read on a day it will be blank.
@amidahime Thank you so much! I already downloaded it and I'm loving the free version! You're right it's all you really nees
@@juilet1302 So glad you’re enjoying it! Happy to help
A fellow reader from Germany 🙋🏻♂ What bookstores in Germany do you recommend to buy English books from? (Apart from Amazon and Thalia)
I have an Osiander close by but honestly the Thalia online store is my best friend…😂
I wish Reado has the trope function because it has all other things you mentioned at the end: read again/dnf button, random tbr pick and (in my opinion) a modern design
Uhhh it’s been a while since I checked that app out… but it sounds amazing☺️
15:29 I have an app called Book Tracker and it looks nothing like that.
Honestly... maybe there are multiple apps with a similar name... or they changed some stuff...😬
Any book tracker that’s free im there
Sounds about right😂
