If anyone is worried about this happening, as long as you don’t touch the pen clip, you should be fine! You press down the pen clip and it presses a little button to release the pencil. It definitely takes some getting used to!

What do you mean? That's how you retract the pencil, pressing the clip on the side. You kind of have to press the clip in order to store the pencil away.

I somehow always have managed to fix my issues XD Obviously, I also have had some rather horrible results when trying to fix some stuff but ah well XD I actually also added a bitty bit of body oil haha it worked. Also you can always go find some needle nose pliers and snatchy the pencil from the end or even the full plastic white thing that goes between the outer case and the pencil.

i really wanted this case for my apple pencil, but i have the first generation pen, which has the detachable top to charge it through the port in the iPad, and i can never find a case like this that suits my pencil. maybe one day, us first gens will get the cases that are both aesthetically pleasing and durable.
