It depends on location/state, time of day, speed of the charger and electric provider. Also, many shops, restaurants, hotels and even local governments offer free charging when your using their services.
I pay here for my Model 3 Performance only $18-$20 CAD at most for full charge at a Supercharge! and usually $2 a day if I recharge at home...
Tesla charging is about 20% inefficient. There are pumps, chillers, inverter ineffiency, and line losses that you pay as you charge. A rule of thumb: add 20% to the kwh rate you calculate with.
My Dodge truck has a 32 gallon tank and gets about 19 to 20 mpg on the highway. At $5.50 per gallon it hurts. Looking at the model y and with the solar on the house it should be a savings. Fuel will never go down.
Ive never paid that much for supercharging even on onpeak my highest charges were about 15-20 at best never spent 40$ then again it does depend on the areas.
How come your Tesla does not seem to use the Tesla charging port?
If something is free other people are paying for it. This would explain why they no longer have bags and why food prices are on the rise at Walmart.
Tnx 4 the interesting info. Earlier 2day i wondered about that.
Naw bro where I live in Las Vegas there’s a charging station that’s ALWAYS 20 cent it comes out to 7-11 bucks to charge all the way up.. 40$ is crazy work
WTH? I’m in Southern California (LA county) and I complained I had to pay $9 the other day 🤣 it cost about $3-4 a day to charge from home. I charge after 9 pm, and only charge to 80% unless I need the extra battery life.
Used to be cheap. When I bought my Tesla m3 2 years ago I could charge from 10% to 90% for 14 bucks, now it’s damn near the same as filling my old car with gas.
It cost me $5.74 to charge my Tesla Model 3 long range with the 82 kilowatt battery pack. Off peak at 7 cents a Kilowatt. On peak at 22 cents a Kilowatt it would cost me $18.04. At 38 cents at a super charger it would cost $31.16. So when and where would you charge?
Your Tesla doesn't use the NACS port?
For 9 months of working, never paid to charge.. my employer have charging stations. Now I work a little late, been paying once a month approximately $10 now.
During non peak charging times I spend a little over 7$ sometimes 8 depending on day and time of night try charging from 12-4am that’s the lowest costs time to charge the car
$.68 per kWh is ridiculously expensive. Find another Supercharger! Most I pay is $.45 and usually $.36. At home overnight it’s $.16!
Miami FL USA is $16-$20 in regular hours. Charging at off peak hours if you don’t have a charger at home is just dumb and super inconvenient. Imagine having to go at 11pm sometimes it’s packed and you don’t get back home till like 12:30am. 11:45 if lucky. Get a home charger and if you can’t the think twice before committing to this lifestyle. I was spending $16-$20 daily because unlike most cult leaders, I actually drive and don’t work from home and that equaled to filling up my Silverado weekly at $85. Also she is obviously not USA stop with your “I only pay $0000000.000001 where I live”
It depends on the cost of electricity in your area. It costs me about $7 to fully charge at home in Pennsylvania.
And theres free perks around town that give free charging st stores too
Well im glad that my dad bought a x in 2016 that has free supercharging
Good charging price give planetary freedom with charging stations around planet
I don’t know where she lives, but her numbers sound really high. If I fully charge my Tesla from 0% at home it’s about $11. Charging at the closest supercharger is about $14.25.
In comparison my wife Mercedes SLC - a tiny 2 seater convertible - costs about $70 for a fill up at the gas station right outside our subdivision.
It looks like Australia.
I'll stick to gas
The most I have ever paid was $23 for charging and my average is under 10 so charging expensive if where you’re at electricity is expensive somewhere with Hydro power
How much does it cost the people harvesting cobalt?
Obviously from California or close by. My price per kWh is 25% her numbers for the EV due to the local utility EV special TOU rates @ 6 cents per kWh. Also the supercharger pricing was also outrageous. Highest price anywhere from here to FL is 44 cents per kWh and that is only during peak times.
What is that port
cost me $17 to charge my longe range model Y in the super charger and I live in Dallas. So it will probably cost me around $5 at home. Where you live matters
my 80% charge cost me less than $15 around 8pm or before 11am. Depends on location and time you charge
Charged my MY last night, from 33% to 100. It cost £2.98 GBP (7.5p per Kwh off-peak)
I’ve never paid that much to charge and I’m in California with the highest electricity rates. Also charging during peak hours isn’t the best idea.
OMG that’s insane. I pay 6$ at home to charge and 14-16$ at supercharger. Also most public chargers are free to use
Where is this??? I super charge at around $14 or less to get too 90% on my 220 range model 3
I pay about $4 here in south florida and about $11 at peak hrs.
That's crazy. I'm in RI it's $20 0-100% any time, no off-peak discounts.
@@OtisFlint wow. I guess it varies a lot state to state
4-5 bucks at home for me. $0.08/kwh in Vancouver, WA. Model 3 RWD.
It kinda varies in which state/country you are for the home price where i am living its 6 cents to charge it
yeah it's like 15$ per month in electricity bill, where my turbo porsche cayenne used to fill up for 100$ when gas was 5$ per gallon.
