If Matt still has that and whatever that app where you pay someone to record a message for you I'd pay him whatever he wanted to say "people say I sound like Kamala Harris"
@@rwbyistrash603 Shows what ya know. Insurance VERY involved. It's not a damn toy is the point. People actually need these. Also never said their fault. But they not helping the case. Hopefully you will never have to experience such a thing to understand. Only speaking from experience since I am a laryngectomy and do a podcast on the subject. But what would I know right?
It's just very frustrating that this type of thing is made fun of. Imagine you never being able to speak again and breathing out of your neck. Learning to eat and live after. Only to see people making jokes or using your condition as a scare tactic for smoking. When you don't even need to smoke to get it. Then say you need medical help and go to your local ER. Then have to explain what you are cause they have never seen someone with a Laryngectomy. No other cancer gets this treatment. I have yet to see people making fun of the kids with leukemia. Or women with breast cancer. But us, we get this kind of bullshit on a daily. Then when we mention how f#cked up it is we get flack. But mental health is trending. Here a fun fact 1 out of 100 suicides involve cancer. Laryngectomees are the ones with highest suicide rate. So shit like this doesn't help things. If they was using a mental health device as a toy people lose their shit. But some how this is fine for us? Erasing the stigma with this is my goal. Instead of just buying a EL to make fun, go do some research. Then donate the EL to someone that can actually use it. Most people can't go one day with out saying something. Try a life time and when ya do no one wants to listen.
i remember listening to this episode and i was laughing so hard
i was riding my bike and i had to stop because i started choking from laughter.

Buying em for fun, meanwhile people that actually need it can't get em. due to insurance or just not having enough money. Sad really.
And how exactly is it their fault that OTHER people can't afford them? I don't think insurance is even involved.
