It's recommended to bring her around when you are exploring since escort quests do not have time limit anyway that sometimes I consider her my 4th pawn but you have to sprint less since you need her to catch up with you and she does not sprint like your pawns. To get her escort quest, you have to go to her house in Agamen Volcanic Island in Gaustafr's house, the dwarf.
