I don't get it...everyone saying they all got headaches from this. I have rode it 3 times now and never got one headache. I love this ride and I don't understand why everyone hates it. Nobody could possibly blame the cameraman's use of a certain swear word! If you want to get an idea of what it's like, try the Grand National at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and imagine it three times longer, rougher and more violent.
of course its not! its made of wood. just about all wooden roller coasters are really bumpy, with lots of big hills and embankments. wooden coasters give a lot of "air time" (negative vertical g-force) and (in my opinion) tend to be more intense than steel coasters. most steel coasters (like Montu, one of my favorite as well) are fast and smooth (they also feature inversions).
me and my dad rode that atleast 20 times no lie it was at the end of the year so no one was riding it and we rode first seat back middle every seat on that coaster same seat camera man was sitting in but on that coaster if you sit in the back that things slams to the right then the left then the right amazing Adreanline rush!!!

From a person who loves coasters here is my professional opinion. The ride was all in all unenjoyably to me. I have heard that it has in the past been quite an enjoyable ride but I feel that my ride just last week felt like track work has not been up kept. Yes it is a wooden coaster, I love being tossed around on woodies but when the experience become borderline painful I draw the line there. I know how to brace myself when getting ready for wooden coasters, this ride just needs some retracking

JUST AMAZING!! this ride was the most terrifying i rode ! I couldnt believe it was made of wood.......maybe the turns are not that good, or it isnt like Sheikra, but the vibrations you feel when you ride it give goosebumps !!!
For some reason, instead of getting a head or neck ache, I got a chest ache that hurt so bad I couldn't ride any of the other roller coasters for the day. It wasn't a heart problem, it was just the pressure.
they purposley have nails stick out of the place. its the point of the ride to make it look scarier and dangerous than it is. every single day workers go around checking the track. your mom should not fear lol!
Cool video. I love the Gwazi, rode it 3 times in a row last October just before the park was closing. It was pretty dark and the view at the top was awsome when the sun was setting. You get a lovley view of the tampa skyline.
@Staytheredoggy Ummmm no the SkeiKra actually has loops, no floor, and 2 90o Degree drops. Same with the Montu. mOntu = No floor, u spin upside down, and many loops and jerks. Gwazi? wasnt even scary

the only bad thing about Gwazi is that for loading reasons(to keep it moving) they let the trains go whenever they are loaded so except for the first few rides of the day the fly bys just arent there

Wooden coasters are the best, it's all about the sound and the ever present fear that they might jump the tracks, something you never get on those tubular steel monstrosities!

This coaster is a good design! BUT IT NEEDS TO BE REBUILT! IT IS HIGHLY UNSAFE! MY SEATBELT WAS ALMOST CUT IN HALF AT THE END! Sooner or later there will be an accident.

My mom hates this ride because she could "see the nails out of place". and she saw some people stuck on the chain lift. I don't care I rode it twice.

They recently added new carts for a smoother experience being wooden and all but it actually feels bumpier to me!

they don't have 2 at rhe same time anymore they made it better just one cart longer faster and better
