Thank you so much for making this video! I was so excited when all of the colors printed the next day. I am on a fixed income, and I appreciate videos that help me do my own repairs.
You’re the man brother. Epson should pay you for doing their job. I have the EP-3750, and it’s the best printer I’ve ever had by a long shot. I don’t do photo printing so it does everything I need, and it’s been reliable for years with a lot of use. Easy to use, easy to setup, reliable operation and long lasting, but the support from Epson on the most basic things is pitiful. No power cleaning instruction, no maintenance box replacement info. I might have given up on it if not for your excellent how to video. Thanks so much for doing all the work of finding the best products to complete this repair and making a great step by step. Thumbs up and subscribed.
Hi Followed this as you described to the letter 100% fully operational all for under £10:00 plus ink But Epson along with curry’s pc world all stipulated it is a disposable item even though only 13 months old , myself and my wife can not thank you enough Not only are you saving the planet from electronic un-necessary waste , but clients wallets also , once again a big thank you to, yes I am now a subscriber to your channel.
The cleaning fluid should push out onto paper towel. They put under the printhead. If the paper towel wasn't there, it would go into the absorption pads that are on the bottom.
I used your kit, and followed your directions on the totally clogged yellow and black heads on my ET-3830, and followed with a power cleaning. The yellow looks great, but the black still doesn't print. Nothing on a couple purge printings. The ink tank shows the black is still full. Can you help me, I hope?
Yes, simply repeat the process of the cleaning on the black nozzle and run another power cleaning. Always remember to allow 24 hours in between cleanings and before you power on.
My printer (Epson ET 4500) prints pretty good but leaves black ink on the bottom right corner and edge of every piece of paper it prints. Do I need to still buy this kit and clean it the way you show in the video? Since the cleaning kit you suggested is out of stock is there another cleaning kit you would recommend? Amazon has their suggestions but I’m not sure which one to trust.
Hi Kristie, yes using the kit will definitely help with any ink leaks in the printhead. You can buy my kit here, www.ebay.com/itm/154980088735 this is a temporary link the kit should be back on Amazon later this month. Thank you for the question!
To be clear, my friend, I am to wait some hours to let, perhaps, the electrical parts dry before I proceed with the power cleaning which is after using the cleaning kit?
Hi 👋🏼 I got a couple questions… I watched your review of the epson et-8500 and I’ve seen that there is an et-8550. Is this the same printer but newer or older are there any extra features compared to the 8500? Is it worth the extra money? Is the print speed/quality the same? I’d appreciate any help
hi there. Followed your video real carefully with Epson Ecotank ET 2600. Great explanation. Cleaned only the black cartridge nozzle plate as this was the only colour banding in prints. However, problem is that black is very faint with much banding and colours don't print at all. I have printed twenty or more pages. Any advice please. Should I just keep printing? I have not done a clean after nozzle check since using your method but have tried this many times before with other methods. Now worried that waste tank may be almost full. Thanks, Richard
Hi Richard, so after using the cleaning kit you will want to run a power cleaning/ nozzle cleaning. That will actually push the ink back into the system. After having flushed it with the cleaning kit.
Thanks so much for your help. I forgot I have to do that. But now they have sent me a "Printer's ink pad is nearing the end of its life" and is refusing to allow any cleaning. I believe I can get a one-time Reset for this and am investigating :)
Shelf life I am not sure about, I would guess 5-6 months maybe more. As for how many times should you print per month, I would say dont go 2 weeks without printing at least once, with all colors.
Hi Brandon for ET3760 I did the cleaning twice and each time i did also power cleaning still black printing not god, dotted lines and not clear text for only black any further solution ?
Also can I take out the inks from the tank and fill it with cleaning solution because I won’t be using the printer for a while and I don’t want it to clog again?
What happens when you do that test and all the lines are okay I did that three times and I'm still having problems with my colors and my black and white are still coming out faded? Can you please respond to this question I did all the tests I'm still having a problem please help
I get a blank page even when doing a nozzle check page. All tanks are full to the top line. I also replace the maintenance box with a new one. I bought the cleaning kit and did as the video indicated including the power clean and I still get a blank nozzle check page. The paper towels were all saturated with color on the first pass, but were much diluted by the third. all told I put 15-20ml through each jet nozzle. Still get a blank page. Any thoughts?
HELP! I took of that clear cover and the color boxes look empty! Only the black ink box look full of ink. The cyon, magenta & yellow look empty. My printer only prints black. Why do the colors not flow in? I did add the color to each box.
I have an issue where printing in high quality just makes the ending part really heavy and blurry so I can’t do high quality. It didn’t use to be an issue
Hi Brandon ... love your reviews ... very intelligent and to the point! Will be buying a printer soon in Ontario Canada and boy are you right about printer pricing skyrocketing because of home offices. Will be getting your cleaning kit when I get a printer. (The ET-4760 is about $1500, which is @#$%^&!} So here's one question you've never had: In about 2010, I purchased a large-format Epson Stylus Photo R1900 Ink Jet Printer. I had some trouble installing the appropriate driver in my old computer, since I'm not a techie, and my kids never had time. Long and short, the 7 cartridge printer has never printed more than a few test pages. Should I get rid of it, use it as a footstool, or try to make it work? Thanks Farmer John, Ontario, Canada
Hey Farmer John, thank you for the compliments! I am familiar with the R1900 models. Yes I definitely recommend fixing it, the printhead will most likely be clogged so have that work cut out for you but if you don't print much anyways why buy a new printer. As for the driver, you can download it from the following link, on Epsons website, epson.com/Support/Printers/Single-Function-Inkjet-Printers/Epson-Stylus-Series/Epson-Stylus-Photo-R1900/s/SPT_C11C698201 Thanks for the comment!

Hi there...I bought the BestPrinters Printhead Cleaning Kit and a new maintenance box from your links. I've followed all the instructions and steps in your RUclips video ruclips.net/video/syvBwNQDWoQ/видео.html including the power cleaning. Thank you!! I know absolutely nothing about printers but with your video I was able to fix my daughter's.
Glad I could help!
Thanks Brandon! It was a little messier than the vid but was able to get my 3850 printing like new. Thanks again!!!
You're very welcome! Glad it worked out in the end despite the messiness!

Thank you! Fixed a persistent problem with your help and am very appreciative!
Glad it helped!
yay got my printer printing color again! Thanks for the vid. Google bard told me to watch it when I asked how to take my printer apart.
Glad I could help!
could you tell me where the liquid that you put in the head goes does it print out on the paper

@@BestPrinters Time to update your "temporary" link
To be clear, my friend, I am to wait some hours to let, perhaps, the electrical parts dry before I proceed with the power cleaning which is after using the cleaning kit?
Yes! the power cleaning pushes ink back into the printhead.
Nice video as usual. I'm confused between the benefit of this technique compared to replacing the maintenance box? Do both do the same thing?
Both!
@@BestPrinters so if I replace the maintenance box, no need for this technique in the video right?
Is this the one I would follow to clean my Epson 2800?
No you need to look for the 2850 video on my channel.
Hello, can I just do the power cleaning and skip removing the ink?
You can definitely try the power cleaning first.

Yes the 8550 prints larger page and photos sizes. Print quality and speed is roughly the same.

any further solution ?
You will need to warm up the solution and start the process all over again.
Also can I take out the inks from the tank and fill it with cleaning solution because I won’t be using the printer for a while and I don’t want it to clog again?
No actually keeping the tanks full of ink would be your best bet.
@@BestPrinters won’t it clog again? I won’t be using the printer for a couple of weeks
Great video, so I accidentally broke one of those nozzle tabs, SMH! Any chance you know if that assembly is replaceable?
Maybe on aliexpress or eBay.
@@BestPrinters thanks! I found one on Aliexpress, part number is FA35001. Fits all the ET -3XXX series!

Hi is it possible to drain the link from a 3840 printers
Yes you will need to buy a conversion kit on amazon.
Hi so do I need to buy a cleaning kit for each color that is not printing or do I just need one cleaning kit?
One cleaning kit should be enough for all colors.

You need to run a power cleaning.
Will this method work on the ET15000?
Yes!
What does the solution contain ?
Ionized fluid.
in layman's terms, a mix of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol
QUÉ DESTORNILLADOR USÓ?
pequeña cabeza philips
very helpful, thanks

I have an issue where printing in high quality just makes the ending part really heavy and blurry so I can’t do high quality. It didn’t use to be an issue
This may be able to fix that.
I just bought this printer brand new and it’s printing blank pages??
There must've been an issue with how the ink was processed into the printer.
I just thought it was printing outside and now I'm having problems again please help
Repeat the process and make sure your ink is full.

Lift the bottle gently up and down until the ink starts flowing.
