I hope this hack slowly gets added onto over the course of a dozen competitions to become a full dozens of hour long game.
Actually that concept is kinda cool someone should ACTUALLY do that. You’re technically submitting the same hack every comp it’s just gotten an update since then.
If they do, I hope they keep the current slide level as is and add new areas.
Simpleflips can just play the new area during the competition.

as much as I love that this exists now, it's also sad that no one will ever be able to experience the first hack and be utterly soul-crushed by it again

This really does feel like an extra chunk of Sunshine and I do love Sunshine. This is cool, even without a slide I'd give this hack a 8/10 just for being an amazing realization of the most beautiful SM64 tease hack.
I know what you meant on feeling like finally getting to play something. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver had legendary cut content that for over 20 years no fan got to play, until a year or two ago people dicovered early alphas that had those cut areas still accessible!

What a fantastic timing. I just returned home now after going for the japanese festival, this time the unique cosplayers there was aquaman,subzero and kitana. I bought ravenclaw robe (its my house canon) and shusui replica this time, i would also buy a yugioh structure deck or booster packs including the egyptian gods 25th year anniversary but it wouldnt help to upgrade my current deck.
