Wow you have a 3.0 ultra sport! I have a 3.0 b6, but man dude that is a very cool car you got there, I've had a misfire problem but it was only an ignition coil 😂

The 3.0 is a good setup for track car. Like you said, its not a 1.8T but since you got it for a good price means more money for tires and brakes. I would suggest the 18Z or 17Z brake upgrade and B6S4 rear brakes. They are direct swap. for the 18Z calipers I went with 2000 ML55 AMG rotors (345mm) and you have to open the center bore up by 1mm. you can find caliper for $180 rebuild with new seals. also 034 rear sway bar with new links is a good upgrade for the track. Suspension/sway bar, brakes, wheels and tires and intake and exhaust would be a great start for a fun track car. The AWD will help build confidence. The 034 rear sway helps reduce understeer. Make sure to replace all fluids including gear fluid, run a good high temp brake fluid and replace any normal engine wear items. For the engine swap I would wait until your track skills are maxed at that power level then plan the swap. Good luck!

I just picked up a 02 3.0 6 speed beater, and while not fast, the 3.0 is smooth ans hell. And its actually pretty fun to drive. Car came with new control arms and h&r coilovers , so she handles pretty good

Glad to see you upped your game with learning to weld. That’s one thing I’d like to do. I’ve welded once. I made an exhaust for one of my 200 20vs and it actually sounded pretty good. No leaks but it looked like a 5 year old did it. This is an interesting build you have going on. I’m enjoying it. Thanks for sharing!

Stick with the B6, make it your own... there are always guys saying it's the wrong car. The Ebay exhaust is not bad at all and sounds good.

Hey dude! Love your vids. I’ve never actually commented on any video so this is a first. We are a VW/Audi family. My son has a mkV gti and a b8 a4. My wife has a b6 a4 1.8t 6 speed that I’m working on now finding all the oil leaks🙄😩. I can’t wait to build a bulletproof 2.0fsi and 1.8t. Nice work!

Sounds like a good lineup! I had a 1.8t gti a few years ago, and that car was a load of fun
If you get new wheels check the apr A01 wheels out. Also you might want to make sure the wheels are aligned now that the suspension is a bit different.

Now buy a b7 lol I just got a 2008 Audi a4 2.0t Quattro s-line last month and I need to fix some stuff 🙃 but I still love it and it’s getting me to work everyday with no problem and still even keeps up with my brothers 2019 chystler 300 S pretty well

I’m looking for a clean b6 what you think it be the best one to find I remember when these was brand new my early teenage years I love the ultra sport so I’m between the 1.8t and the 3.0 I’ve drove the 1.8t version liked it a lot but there is a guy in my area that has a 2.7t swap and it eats hellcats and corvettes for breakfast lunch and dinner

Curious what you are spraying on the downpipes at about 6:35 in the video. I’m working on a project and trying to dampen some drone and rasp. Is that what you were spraying on? And what?
Nice build! I wish you would've recorded the transmission mount replacement. I need to do it on my b6 s4. Did you have any issues replacing it. If seen some chatter about having to remove the crossmember to get it out. Any tips you can offer me?
Yeah I ended up removing the crossmember to get it to sit right. It was still pretty easy, but if I knew it would’ve taken those extra steps ahead of time I would have recorded more of it
@@FlinkFilms Thanks! I realized you replaced your downpipes. Do you have to remove them to get the crossmember out?
@@mousiee7 it makes things a lot easier if you do, or at least unbolt them from the manifolds to give yourself some more space

What engine swap are you considering?
I keep going back and forth between a 2.7t and a vr6 turbo. 2.7 would be simpler and make a lot more sense since it’s a direct fit in a 3.0 chassis….but vr6s are so sick

@@FlinkFilms the vr6 is definitely challenging and more costly so be ready for that.

@@FlinkFilms go for a 1.8t! Way easier engine to do maintenance on and when u minorly forge it u can get 500 hp easily
