**FAKE NEWS CORRECTION** So, Itinerary is a package that now includes some of the features mentioned. Their wording is correct. I assumed the error BECAUSE of the line repeats in the release notes which made me look closer, and I did not see that note in paragraph 1 being about a package. I am talking over with my trusted members about the best resolution. **END STL FAKE NEWS**
I intend to eval this distro on a Ryzen 9 7940HS mini PC. I like what I see so far, which appears to be very heavy curating. I like the fact that there is a lot of work that went into putting quality stuff into the repos, as limited as the repos may be due to KDE/Qt integration requirements (save for a few exceptions like LibreOffice and Chrome, etc.). Also, latest KDE and it is rolling release. Latest Linux Kernel.
Finally, somebody put panel/taskbar where it belongs on panoramic displays. It's a pity that they use icons instead of icons+text beside it - like in Windows. EDIT: Unfortunately default theme has disastrous scrollbars and there is no Plastik or Oxygen theme.
Arch is the only distro for me. Making my own software and packaging list, with a few other extras and once I've got everything nice and meshed I'm just going to load it as an install script. I tend to break things so a one button refresh would come in handy over tracing some of the more complex problems I manage to create 😂
It looks VERY good.... I love the way they did it... and hopefully it's as good as it looks. I have to say they are the ONLY distro I've seen that does that much PERFECT documentation and simple instructions on EVERYTHING you need to know about it... I"m on Open Suse Tumbleweed right now and it's EXTREMELY stable--- and fast-- but I love the look of the KAOS in the reviews I've seen... :) Wonder if it's LIVE in form-- so I can TEST without installing? That wasn't mentioned..... and I would like to know if ANYONE has tried to run the PROTON MAIL BRIDGE on it... I have to have that on whatever I use.
Watched Britec this morning Microsoft has changed Recall. On installation it is now opt-in instead of opt-out. Microsoft got slammed by cyber security people with the obvious flaw of it's inclusion in windows. So it doesn't turn on automatically when installed now. The uproar about it from prospective windows users was not appreciated either. Microsoft also is using layers of encryption and login info to access it. But, it's still there. They seem to be wedded to it. As you said there is nothing to prevent it's activation on a later update.
Do you know if PROTON MAIL BRIDGE will work on this??? I've tried it on a couple of distros before where it WOULD NOT WORK... and I need it- but love the look and feel of this distro. GREAT review - as usual.
A/C in KaOS? Chaos! ChatGPT gives us more opportunities and new situations in which to embarrass ourselves! Nice! I'd expect this with ads for Windows and Windows apps, but I'm dismayed to see this sort of faux pas creeping into the Linux world. (Long sigh...)
If you knew about the lesser-known KDE apps, you would know about KDE's travel app "Itinerary". This is absolutely not AI generated and is proof of a poorly researched video.
LOL. Never heard of an obscure package. But now that you have said that, it really, REALLY makes sense. I did not see that note as being about a package!!

This type of distro makes me really appreciate other distros that "simply work"
This is the first time I have had problems with KaOS that I remember.
SO when I saw the title I just scretch my head: hum??? AC?
AC/DC themes perhaps? Now that would be great.
Turns out it is an obscure PACKAGE that I have never hear of. I issued a correction!
Or AOC on Linux?

I've been on CachyOS if you're looking for another distro to look at. I like it.

can you "trust" msoft to not secretly do the spying even though you opt out?
@@jimw7916 No the telemetry is still in there and they will include more as time goes by. The era of windows may be coming to an end.
That new calamares installer ui looks so much worse / less intuitive than the older one. :(

25:58 - What are you dream of, latelly??? 🤣
Assassin's Creed? Ace Combat? Animal Crossing? ...Oh, that's cool too I suppose 😞
KaOS is the best distro for add free k-pop listening.
This could be a "cool" distribution, but without air conditioning, I'm not confident. :)
What's with the screen corner cut off????
Ha very funny release notes.
I use kubuntu with i3wm, simple and reliable.
