How you practice
Don't take tension
Only pay attention .
If you focus and draw everyday you can do a lot. Take your time and enjoy learning 😊
Firstly you should know how to use a pencil i.e., how to sharpen it, how to hold it, the amount of pressure, Intensity etc.,
Secondly you should have a good line quality..In order to achieve this, draw basic shapes like circles, squares, lines with force. Join the two points with a single stroke. Learn about force.
Next is Proportions. learn anatomy. basic understanding is enough. If the form of the portrait is good, with the enough detailing and shading, portrait will look realistic.
Next is shading, which is the trickiest part. you should have a good branded pencil, branded paper and the tools required. Understand tones i.e., halftones, lights, darks. There are many techniques to achieve the realistic feel through shading, practice each one of them and use what fits your personality.
Lastly, don't lose hope. your every drawing need not be perfect. with every failure, you learn something new. atleast you get to know how not to do. RUclips is a great repository of art videos. use it efficiently.
