You're right....the light blue and purple are wonderfully matched. Also I like it when you leave a few hard edges. Gives the painting enormous depth and energy
Thank you so much for sharing your secrets with us all using a sponge on your paintings. I will definitely try that this long weekend. Just love all your paintings! God bless!
Hi Soraya! I find myself painting over old paintings on occasion. I'll sand it a little and start in another direction. You do such amazing work. You are so fun to watch/listen to. So honest and positive!! ❤
You are so brave reworking your original work and just sharing that in itself was so helpful. Truly loved the softness & blend of new colours in finished work. ❤
It's fascinating to see the many stages and changes this painting goes through. I like how you are not afraid to try new ideas and to change things up. It morphed into a beautiful new painting! Beautiful result!! 💙
Absolutely love this. Love watching you paint. It is so relaxing. I’m glad you use colours that please you. Always grateful for what you share with us all. ❤
Again, an impressive technique with your sponge and acrylic paints, which restores my faith in Acrylics! One day, I'll show you my work, but I admire your sponge technique-truly acceptional work, Miss Silvestri!
Yes, I love your dramatic skies!! Yes, I also love how blue looks with purple! And, yes, I love the new version of your painting. It's truly beautiful!! I love how you created the waves as a leading line to your land area! You are so talented, Soraya, and we all appreciate you sharing your talent and process with us!🥰
Oh thank you! I have used raw sienna in the past. Most recently, when I used it I had several comments saying that they did not like the addition of it. I thought it looked good lol😅 Yo each his own! Thanks for watching 😀 Have a good day.
Each artist is a creator. You are in charge of what u put on the canvas. As viewers we can like it or not like it, but I am a true believer that any creation is a work of art
Intuitive painting is difficult to do a tutorial on. It is the artists choices and has to be developed over time. More advanced style and experimentation is how you get there over time. Everyone would end up with something different in the end and all could be beautiful. It is very subjective.
Honestly, I absolutely loved the first version. Those are my favorite color combinations. I thought it was more dramatic and powerful with the orange/ rust. When you picked up the sponge to change it, I screamed *(((((((NO !))))))* 😂
Soraya I really like that you are gutsy enough to change a painting you are not thrilled with. I always like going over or embellishing older disappointing paintings. I will be trying this with a sponge. I have. Some unsuccessful pours that have a lot of paint that makes the canvas thick and a little bumpy. Can I change this with a sponge? Thanks, Barbara🩵
I love this painting so much! It is so atmospheric and I love your use of color. I am always amazed at how people try to tell other people how to paint their paintings. I want to tell them, go paint your own.😄 Anyway, your work fascinates me! I am going to give your technique a try, but I am guessing it isn’t as easy as you make it look.
Thank you so much 😀 so glad you’re going to try it! Give yourself permission to fail. I’ve been doing this for many years. Just have fun and learn along the way. You’ll get it. Thanks so much 😀💖

Yay, thank you! Truly appreciate your comment. Means a lot to me. 😀💖
I absolutely allow myself to have the freedom to change a painting after completing it. That’s the beauty of acrylic
Great to hear! Thanks for sharing 😀
I LOVE the transformation!!! Stunning!! You got to try raw sienna!! It complements so many colors. I know you will love it too!! Thanks again!!!!
Oh thank you! I have used raw sienna in the past. Most recently, when I used it I had several comments saying that they did not like the addition of it. I thought it looked good lol😅 Yo each his own! Thanks for watching 😀 Have a good day.
I understand. I just used it for the first time in the ski mixed wit a tinsy bit of burnt umber and unbleached titanium and it thrilled me lol!!

Thanks😀 you’re like me! 😅
You are so so talented! I have no vision or talent with art. At least not this style. Very beautiful.
Thank you so much! The more you paint the more Cres you become. Don’t give up💖

Yes, absolutely. As long as you don’t mind having a textured look on your final painting. Thanks for watching!
I like it much better now. I tried the sponge, it also takes some practice.
Awesome! Yes, it takes practice for sure. Keep at it 😀

Wow❤
Thanks!💖
Absolutely beautiful! Do you like sea sponges?
I think the sea sponge might add too much texture so I’ve never used them.
❤❤❤
😀🙏💖
I change my painting often after looking at it for some weeks
Good to know! Thanks for sharing 😀

That black thing in the distance center could be a nuclear powered submarine , trying to fight off the rough waves 😀🙏
Could be….😂
How do u keep the acrylic from dring before the next application?
I don’t do anything to keep it from drying. If I want to extend a bit I would use Liquitex matte medium or water😀 thanks for watching!!
..you change my life
Wow. You honour me😀💕
