This Nat sounds exactly like my dad. He always had a following of friends and girlfriends that kissed the ground he walked on but we knew a different person at home. I called it wear masks, he had a mask for other people and we knew him without it.
I know exactly what you mean about them wearing a mask, and the mask is different depending on who it's aimed at. I call it "painting pictures". They paint the scene for others in such a way that they control the narrative.
I also called it like that, masks tailored to manipulate people. These masks exist from the very beginning, it’s not that they suddenly change; when you met them, they were already wearing a mask. If they had observed you previously, they were probably wearing one made for you and when you are not interesting for them anymore then they just change their mask. They lack of empathy, remorse, guilt, deep thoughts, or deep feelings. They don’t care if they harm you, it can even feed their need for power and success so they can even like to be cruel to you. They are hurt inside and frustrated. They feel frequently envy towards others. This is because they cannot connect to others like a normal person, and they have felt a lot of rejection in the past. So they are in certain way obsessed by socializing, being socially successful and powerful. Money and power can offer them superiority on others, since naturally others don’t want to connect with them. Be careful to all the signals before you establish any relation with them. They won’t have any problem to destroy you when they do not longer need you. They are manipulative and master liars. They also prefer to lie even if there’s no need to do it, either by cowardice or because they feel superior by lying to others. They can also be reckless, impulsive, and goofy, because they don’t see danger, so they can get you into trouble, even if they don’t want to. However, they are not immature, they are monsters, they do not care for others, and they do not change. There is neither cure nor therapy against that personality, it is intrinsic to the brain.
I question the theme here that these criminals make "mistakes" for which they are caught. Large chunks of their lives are completely off the map morally. They are more giant walking mistakes than they are people. In both these cases, it's cops and the justice system who make mistakes repeatedly until they finally get just enough right to stop these malicious killers. The most compelling puzzle portrait at the end is not of some interesting killer, but of universities, police departments and courts that could prevent these cases ever materializing, if they'd just have better policies about dealing with the abuse of women, be they physically threatened wives or university students with assault complaints.
He was getting ready for an attempted murder/assault trial just weeks before her going 'missing'?? How would it take anyone more than 2 seconds to suspect him?

Jessie was searching for any vulnerable female, so even if his last victim was 19 years old, feels like the narrator is victim blaming the female because she was young. This perpetrator would have abducted any female in any age range. He was looking for an opportunity, and he found it that night in Hannah Graham. Any female in his path would have been his next victim.
You are overthinking it. Most killers have a certain age/look preference, especially the ones that are sxual predators. He was seen at those locals, trying to get around girls of exact similar age, as the victims, and not older ones. Just because the detective pointed out the decisions of a 19 yi, does not mean he is blaming her, he even stressed out that point. And 19 yo do make bad decissions, everyone i know, made extremely bad decisions, when they were that young, including myself
I hope that stupid concert hall allows readmittance now. She had a head injury, was probably drinking? Geez... Set up for failure there, and doing what any young girl does- then some predator is waiting around the corner. So infuriating, poor Morgan 😢
Considering the number of people who faint from heat or get hurt in scuffles or falls at big events, it baffles me that there isn't some kind of first aid station to attend to the sick and injured. After all, amusement parks have them. Zoos have them. Such a thing might have saved Hannah. She would have gotten her injury tended and been either sitting there safe when her friends were ready to go or she might have even returned to them and finished the concert.
RIP tothe victims in these horrid events. My heart goes out to their family and friends. I'm glad both were finally convicted. Hats off to the cops that didn't give up.
I honestly hate when people equate horrible men to nature's killers. Predators in nature, are VERY aware of the surroundings, of the other prey animals, or the landscape, etc, because they need to be successful to survive, & even the apex predators of the world have low success rates pretty often, but also because if they screw up & get wounded, they could die from that. And while there has always been some confusion about humans & animals, serial killers aren't apex predators, they are monsters, & while there are animals that use violence & even war within their own lives, like some chimpanzee groups, & there are even animals that will rape other animals, like ducks, we humans have the most opportunities to analyze the world, & so when we choose to be monsters, its far worse than an animal hunting to live.
I agree!! These Are Monsters with no regard for life and who they hurt. The animal kingdom n pedos n rapos r two very different beings types. Animals hunt for survival!! These bottom feeders monsters r no comparison ..
Back in the eighties there was a guy robbing stores on my end of town. I went in the neighborhood store and the sketch was up. Looked just like me. :) fortunately they knew me well . Was quite the joke every timeI went in there.
The dude didn't make a mistake. If there is no plan or scheme, you can't make a mistake anyways. He was just lucky for a long time until his luck ran out. But it goes to show how long you can go undetected even if you don't clean up after your murder. However, that window of luck gets smaller and smaller with improvements in forensics. One of the most recent advances is creating face images from DNA. That makes it harder and harder to go undetected if you are sloppy and it increases the required cleaning effort if you have a plan for the murder. That won't prevent crimes in the future, but there is an increased chance to catch a perpetrator before the second murder.
Didn't they say she was an identity -protected lip reader? If showing half of someone's face is considered identity protection, I'll be sure not to get interviewed 😅
You are assuming that the lady who you saw on screen was the lip reader... Police, documentary makers often use actors/models as stand ins for people who have their identity protected, record the interview and get someone else to read the words like a script. Lastly they add the sound and video together later. If it's really the lady they can alter how they look with wigs, prosthetics, makeup, stage props, etc. I doubt they would show any of the real lady lip reader. Blessings, Dot
Metallica did a wonderful thing. They didn’t have to do anything at all and it was so helpful to the case that they kept it in the public’s attention and offered a reward. Encouraging people to come forward worked!

‘I worked very hard for her decisions not to be questioned’ HER decisions aren’t the problem here. It is HIS decisions, it has always been HIS decisions, HIS actions and HIS responsibility for a woman being graped and unalived. Fuck that noise, you ain’t no hero for upholding her reputation. And that’s the only reason you brought it up. ‘Look at me, I’m the hero for while thinking it in my head I wouldn’t let anyone question her choices’

It really bugs me that the psychologist said he didn't know the difference between his sports violence and sexual violence. "All he knows..." Add of he didn't know anything else, like right from wrong.
Huh, interesting. I'd think that that is for a few different reasons: that 1. Partners and family members are more likely to have carried out the crime, 2. Innocent partners or family members are more likely to be interviewed about the crime, and 3. They like to paint the victim as being a very warm and caring person in order to drive home the loss caused by the crime. I hadn't noticed the use of that particular word before, but I'll keep an eye out for it now.
53:00 We had a case exactly like the Jesse Matthew case at the University of Minnesota in the 1980s: a basketball player raped several women and the university covered for him.
1998- Scotland - A mother named Arlene Fraser went missing when her child hat to be picked up from school and her husband Nat Fraser became a suspect later even though he had an alibi and he was not living in the family home at the time of Arlene’s disappearance. Arlene had seen a solicitor to divorce her husband and Nat was an abuser and had attacked her previously. 18 months passed since Arlene’s disappearance and still no information about the missing woman. It took police four years to prosecute Nat Fraser and two of his accomplices. But it didn’t end there.
When are colleges and students going to realize that they need to report suspected crimes to the police?!? If they had done so the first time, the rest of the crimes may not have happened!
The Laws in the UK, Scotland, Canada, and Australia are quite different than in the US when given a Life Setence? I read about a Murder Case where the guy Served a minimum of 7 years! Proving Insanity isn't as difficult and when Psychiatrists deem the Patient Sane, they are released back into the public, instead of transferring them into a Prison to serve their Sentence. This Husband clearly Conspired and Pre-Meditated the Murder of his wife, destroying her corpse and Evidence which additional Charges should have been added to his Original Charges? Not only this, he previously attempted to Murder her by means of strangulation. However, she was able to fight back, filing Charges obtaining a Protective Order and Divorce papers. This is the most Critical and Dangerous time for a Woman who suffers from DV! Victims are at the Highest Risk of becoming Murder Victims and need Protection when they press charges, or file for Protective Orders, or Divorce? His Cowardly Accomplices actually got away with Being Charged and Prison Sentences! Shame on Prosecutors! These Cowards committed Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder! I wonder if they're Father's? If they have Daughters? If they close their eyes at night before going to sleep and don't hear her screams to live? Ihope they'll never stop hearing her begging for her life? "Please! I never hurt You? Why are you doing this to me? Please don't kill me? I'll do anything you want? Just let me go home to my babies"? How can they live with themselves? Maybe one night it will be too much if ever one of them grows a conscience? Can the Prosecution?

Save yourself an hour and a half of your life. There are two stories included in this video. The second story is about 45 minutes in and that’s the story is where Metallica offers a 50k award for information leading to the arrest of the person guilty of murdering a young college student. While I agree that these women deserve a right to have their stories be told, and they deserve to be remembered, using click bait is shallow and not a proper way to go about telling their stories…and no one appreciates it!

So whoever is at working the front door at that arena turned a young woman who is obviously bleeding from the head away and didn’t have her come in and sit down with staff as they called 9-1-1?!?!?! Gross negligence! That would’ve saved her life. I’d sue them so hard if I was her family. And her friends weren’t real friends. Because if it were me that happened to and was stuck outside and told friends I’d go back to the hotel, my friends would’ve immediately told me to stay right there and they would’ve come straight out there to take me back so I wouldn’t be going alone. And I would’ve done the same for my friends. But none of us would’ve been walking around anywhere by ourselves to begin with so there would’ve been 2 of us out there together at least.
The Metallica doco is the second one and starts roughly on minute 44. The doco just shows 5 secs of them offering a reward to catch the killer.
Thank you
I wonder if they paid and if they were. They are a great band and that was a chunk of change.
Thank you for that.
@@me-hp7vhyou can actually find the answer to that question nowadays. With the internet and all.
Clickbait?
I question the theme here that these criminals make "mistakes" for which they are caught. Large chunks of their lives are completely off the map morally. They are more giant walking mistakes than they are people. In both these cases, it's cops and the justice system who make mistakes repeatedly until they finally get just enough right to stop these malicious killers. The most compelling puzzle portrait at the end is not of some interesting killer, but of universities, police departments and courts that could prevent these cases ever materializing, if they'd just have better policies about dealing with the abuse of women, be they physically threatened wives or university students with assault complaints.
If his co-workers have gone to the police instead of choosing just to tease him and forget about it Heather Graham might be alive today.
He was getting ready for an attempted murder/assault trial just weeks before her going 'missing'?? How would it take anyone more than 2 seconds to suspect him?
Suspecting him sure; convicting him beyond reasonable doubt requires more than 2 seconds.
Right 😂😂. But ya, they KnEw it was him, no mystery. He just covered his tracks so they didn't know if they could convict.
got to prove they did it not that u think or u know they did it got to have evidence
Agree 💯
@ProfAida74 They didn’t even investigate him until his friend visited him in prison. They confirmed he had an alibi and left it at that.
So, Metallica helped remind people, and offered a reward. I suppose you could say they helped, but that's stretching things a bit. The truth is, this is clickbait, and I despise clickbait.
Thanks. I'm 45 minutes in and came to the comments looking for someone to explain the title
@@TwistedRootsMelody 😂😂 I'm 30 seconds in reading your comnent, wondering if this was a hyped up title too.

Okay everyone, Metallica Didn't help with this case just so you know.
It's all BS. About Metallica.

Those colleges should be ASHAMED!!
If they can't be held accountable, I'd make very sure they become infamous!
@@teslagirl1that would cost the venue more so they're like, "naw!" But I feel you. I see zero flaws in your logic!
@@teslagirl1I believe it is law that if you have more than a certain amount of heads. There has to be a first aid station
Dont compare the human animal to that of the wild.
Well said!
That psychiatrist/psychologist is speaking pure psychobabble!
Animals kill to survive and out of instinct, humans kill for fun. Can not compare the two.
Amazing sketch artist did a perfect job.
Back in the eighties there was a guy robbing stores on my end of town.
I went in the neighborhood store and the sketch was up.
Looked just like me.
:) fortunately they knew me well .
Was quite the joke every timeI went in there.
Possibly the best sketch I’ve seen
I can’t imagine those girls looking at his evil eyes as the last thing to see.
It's so wonderful the criminals can't get away with nearly as much as they did in the past. Cameras help a great deal too!
Didn't they say she was an identity -protected lip reader? If showing half of someone's face is considered identity protection, I'll be sure not to get interviewed 😅
Seriously! They gave her name, hair, voice and really only left out her eyes and forehead. Clearly only a criminal genius could figure her out.
For sure, her mouth and teeth were shown along with the jowls.
I liked the building of the puzzle ❤. Very clever 😊!
Metallica did a wonderful thing. They didn’t have to do anything at all and it was so helpful to the case that they kept it in the public’s attention and offered a reward. Encouraging people to come forward worked!
@ 26:31- Absolutely correct. I did exact same. Pawned my rings. I needed diapers for MY baby. I say
'MY' baby cause MY body nurished & protected & carried her for 9+ months.
My ex lied & cheated & stole from us......Good riddance.

How the Chief spoke about Hannah is ABSURD! Victim blaming at it's WORST!!! Specifically saying that he made sure they did NOT blame her for her choices that night...but that she made her OWN choices...but wanted to make sure his team didn't BLAME her?! WTF?! She was 19! And didn't know the area. Just how he said it...insisted on making a point about it?! What a douche!
Apparently I've watched every single American show and documentary because EVERY episode now is British or Australian.
That’s all that has been showing up in my feed for about week or couple weeks now as well.
Which is good. I have watched the same american cases over and over on differend chanels. Great change.
Ditto! I’m even watching Scottish ones! The accent is hard, but, hey, a true crime story is a true crime story.
DUDE SAME!!! Check out Disturban, Little crime shop(something like that), lazy masquerade, the crime atlas, that chapter, coffeehouse crime, explore with us, serial killer documentaries, beyond evil and this is monsters... some of my favorites.
I was thinking the same thing! It is a nice change and I am enjoying the accents.
You guys got me with that click bait. No such thing as Metallica helping with the case. You guys are ruthless
Thanks for the comment, I was scrolling the comments to work out if this was clickbait or not. There was a similar video about how paint had helped solve a murder which involved a woman becoming suspicious about a property where she went to buy paint.

Who was responsible? The colleges that did not go after him when he started with assaults.
It really bugs me that the psychologist said he didn't know the difference between his sports violence and sexual violence. "All he knows..." Add of he didn't know anything else, like right from wrong.
Why do these colleges get away with sweeping these assaults under the rug?
and there it is... every single crime show has the word 'loving' in it. Every single one.
What?
Huh, interesting. I'd think that that is for a few different reasons: that 1. Partners and family members are more likely to have carried out the crime, 2. Innocent partners or family members are more likely to be interviewed about the crime, and 3. They like to paint the victim as being a very warm and caring person in order to drive home the loss caused by the crime. I hadn't noticed the use of that particular word before, but I'll keep an eye out for it now.

Oh TY. let me go see 👍
And then after that it's 20 mins of repeatedly saying the same things over and over.

In all honesty, women need to trust in their gut instant and know that if it doesn't feel right then don't do it.

The way you arrange the puzzle pieces on their faces, it's obvious to me that you figured out the Tell-Tale signs of a murderer.
It is nonsense that he did not know the difference between power on the football field and power over women. Of course he knows.!
This might be nit-picking, but why aren't the victims names anywhere in the title or description? Do the killers names mean more?

Here we go again…. Someone commits attempted murder, gets charged with assault and then is let out on bail. What could possibly go wrong? 🙄🤬😤!!!

How can they live with themselves?
Maybe one night it will be too much if ever one of them grows a conscience?
Can the Prosecution?
Sounds to me like Detectives simply didn't look at the most likely suspect initially. Until you eliminate the most likely suspects first, you will overlook the real answer.

Escalating always seems inevitable, unfortunately.
A life sentence is not a life sentence if you get to serve a minimum, with the potential of release for 'good behavior'.
Interesting, i guess Scotland has no double jeopardy law on the books (in America you can't be tried twice for the same crime)
You can't be tried twice if you have been found innocent in the first trial. Many convicted people are let out of jail on technicalities, have their convictions overturned, and are retried by the prosecutors.
The way I understood it, was that the Crown appealed the decision at the high court in London.

And I would’ve done the same for my friends. But none of us would’ve been walking around anywhere by ourselves to begin with so there would’ve been 2 of us out there together at least. Young people are not careful these days. Never go anywhere alone. It isn’t safe.
