I'm a 22 yr old college senior and this is probably the best lesson I've had so far on capacitors, capacitors make so much more sense now; does that mean I have the mental capacity of an elementary school student?
My middle school and high school students will probably kill me but I can't wait to show them this! Seriously, I'm feeling so nostalgic now because of the puppets.
+Ghost Naughty no, like a battery the charge would slowly dissipate over time. ever not use a car for a long time and have to recharge or jump start it.
Ghost Naughty lithium metal polymer are rechargeable batteries, where ions move between the anode and the cathode, using an intercalated lithium compound or metallic lithium as the electrode material. Capacitors are both inside and outside integrated circuits on the ciruit (mother) board of a computer or other electronic device.... some are large some are tiny.... A capacitor is a two-terminal, electrical component. Along with resistors and inductors, they are one of the most fundamental passive components we use. You would have to look very hard to find a circuit which didn't have a capacitor in it. electronics.howstuffworks.com/capacitor.htm
Very nice idea. May i give you a tipp. when talking to your robot - dont look in the camera, it dosent look good. but the hole storytelling is realy very nice. thanks.
Ok what are you doing adafruit industries? I showed this to my 9-month-old daughter, coincidentally named Ada, and she pooped so draw your own conclusions.

I think a lot of people with electronic engineering degrees don't fully understand capacitors. So don't feel too bad.
+GaiiFAFA Maybe cuz they teach you advanced circuits and calculations, but they do not teach what the heck those circuits are used for.
+GaiiFAFA It took me awhile to figure them out how they work.
Me to
It's here! C IS FOR CAPACITOR!

Just sat and watched the first three of these with my girls (8 and 5). They were enthralled! Keep 'em coming!
A very creative way to teach young people(or anyone for that matter)
I like it.
"I'm fine, and urself?" "All systems are fully operational"~~>O
man, this is wicked adorable.
Awesome way to teach what capacitors are !!! thanx adafruit

it's like watching teletubbies on steroids. I like it :)
Glad you could make another one. Good job
Lovely video!!, so nice approach to explain what capacitor does.
Thank you! The kids (and me) were so excited to see the next episode!
This is too cool! I wish this existed when I was younger!
Interesting and informative works here...., thank you Ada....
wow, these are really great videos, very easy to understand for beginners, nice job!!
This is so cool
luv the way robot wobbles his head when he walks .
thank you soooooo much.... this is short n complete informative... amazing job..!!
Thanks a lot for making yet another Circuit Playground! It helps me tremendously getting my 7 year old into electronics :)
awesome video! looking forward for more!
That song is extremely catchy.
You guys are great!!!
This show is tripping me out man!

+Ghost Naughty yes you can get shocked and all electronics use capacitors.

Ghost Naughty
Google is your friend.
6:30 - 'Do your capicators dance?' ...uhm, I don't know if this is appropriate for children anymore lol. :D
Thank you for these. I wish there were things like this around when I was a kid. It would have made my entry into electronics MUCH easier.
This is great! Thanks a ton
6:19 loooooooool . You should definitely be on TV
It like sesame street for electronics yeah!
I love how cappy just slide out of the pcb
My sister loves these videos and she's 10 and I am 8 I love it to
Fantastic!!!
What a great generation we would have if kids were raised on this show instead of the crap that's on tv now.
My kids love it.
Where's episode 1 and 2?
I dont know what im watching but its great
Thanks a lot.
love it.. more more more! :)
That was fun

thanks.
That was cool enough
I
More on S = Supercaps please! :D
Very cute...tech dwaggie approves!
cappy was danceing so adabot was doing a joke saying cappy was danceing and singing
Hey "C" is for Colin... bring him out
seria genial en español

she was just doing what a capacitor does - dumping her load
Ms. Fruit is cute!
It still doesn't explain why they can be recharged when all the electrons are balanced!
When you get to Z will you release a Blueray of the whole alphabet of videos?
Hi ! Will you make more chapters ? It´s very good ! Thanks very much.
Holy shitballs this is amazing. And lady Ada is cute to death!!!
I wish I was a Capacitor, then I'd have sweet dance moves!----l l-----
Ghost Naughty Yes, capacitors are found n many circuits including computers. I don't know the answer to your first question.
Ghost Naughty most likely the capacitors are for signal processing or power smoothing
🤣🤣
:-)
Fake robot. Obviously a puppet.
wow. You are someone who pays a lot of attention to details. Congrats Einstein 🤣🤣
