Slipknot was arguably my favorite band when I was younger (I'm old enough to have been a teenager when they first came out), but as I grow older I think Corey resonates more with me through stone sour than he does slipknot. Slipknot may have been the voice of my teenage angst, but music like this affects me far more deeply now that I've gotten a little bit of living done.
I've found that I now love anything acoustic that he does way more than most slipknot or stone sour songs. I really, really hope he does an acoustic album some day
I've seen it all and I know better I've felt the bitterness and pain My soul keeps changing like the weather The only constant is the rain I know your black and white intentions And theres no room for shades of grey I've never asked you to conform to me I only beg for you to stay Waiting here tonight for you to come But your love just disappeared Waiting in the dark for miracles But miracles don't happen here Miracles don't happen here Miracles don't happen here I still have dreams that were together And I can still taste your skin Reminders all around surrounded by your light I don't want to die again I don't deserve to be discovered I don't deserve to know you care I only want my promised other Not someone who isn't there Waiting here tonight for you to come But your love just disappeared Waiting in the dark for miracles But miracles don't happen here Miracles don't happen here Miracles don't happen here Ohh.. waiting here all night for you to come But your love just disappeared Waiting in the dark for miracles But miracles don't happen here Waiting here all night for you to come But your love just disappeared Waiting in the dark for miracles But miracles don't happen here Miracles don't happen here Miracles don't happen here Miracles don't happen here
Corey is one of the few vocalists that can sing with a voice that just hits you so deeply. The fact that he is also one of the best lyricists that I have ever heard makes it hit twice as hard.
Well put not only is Corey a great song writer / Lyrasist/Musician/Musical genius you can throw out there his lyrics are deep and the way he arranges his music delves into why he is a Musical Genius he pumps great music out like a machine!
i would love to have an unplugged album with corey taylor man that would be the bomb stone sour stuff and even some slipknot versions unplugged would be so fuckin nice
This song hasn't been given enough attention, the last time he songs the verse when he does it as high as he does on the album just gives me goosebumps
I've seen it all and I know better I've felt the bitterness and pain My soul keeps changing like the weather The only constant is the rain I know your black and white intentions And theres no room for shades of grey I've never asked you to conform to me
God, I love listening to Stone Sour's guitar parts and comparing them to Alice In Chains riffs. The similarities make me smile. What amazing bands they both are.
I was always wondering why i liked stone sour so much but you just opened my eyes to the reason, same sound to the music but very different singing styles that still make them different enough to not be copy cats, thanks for the enlightenment
Varkoz No problem my friend ;) I will admit, however, that there is one riff that sounds suspiciously similar to an Alice in Chains song, but I love it! It's almost like it's a toss-back to the classics! Compare the breakdown in Rumor of Skin to the solo/outro in Rain When I Die.
Such a great addition to my acoustic guitar.....this one is absolutely beautiful...it's great to see a softer side of COREY . .they are definitely a great group of musicians.....
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. Psalm 1:1-2 NIV
I've seen him live with Stone Sour and Slipknot and he is definitely one of the best frontmen I've ever seen. Even in this video - playing such a somber song and being entertaining and bantering with the audience while still not making a joke of the song or putting any less heart into it. His talent knows no limits.
beatufiul song; the acoustic completes it. when i listen to this song. All i can think is who hurt you? ill feel your pain so you dont have to. really touching song. love it!
Stone Sour and Slipknot are so different it's crazy to think they have the same vocalist. But I kinda feel like I can hear that connection between the two in this song. I can kind of hear that distinctive slipknot sound filtering through in this one.
Great music speaks to us. "Love" is a bullshit emotion only truly felt between a parent and child. My wife walked out for another three years ago. I've long been over the sadness, but the anger of being left for someone the bitch knew for a couple months.... Yeah... The kinda miracles CMFT is singing about...they're a fantasy. Hell...I'm not bitter. I have two wonderful daughters. If someone can come along and end a 10 year relationship in just a couple months.... Well.... Just shows that those kinda "miracles" don't happen! That's life though. Corey captured it brilliantly! :-)
+Dave Ewing love isn't bullshit. Most Don't even know what true love even feels like. Chemicals may go off, but true love, to have such a deep spiriutal connection with someone. That's true love.
brocowsci just an opinion. For some, it works. For some it doesn't. If you found yours...I give you honest and heartfelt congratulations! If you're still looking...I sincerely hope you find it. :-)
My wife walked out 4 years ago after a perfect 14 year marriage. Broke my heart. But are correct, my kids and I have never been closer. I have them all the time. They still hold hatred towards their mother for walking out.
Modern Prodigal Son I'm sorry man. If you're like me, you don't want me to be "sorry" for ya... Still... I feel sorry for our daughter. (My oldest girl is from another. ) Our daughter doesn't understand tho. She was 7 when mom walked out. She's 10 now. Poor baby still believes it's temporary. I talk to her unlike her mom. Her mom still acts like it's all a game. Hell...I never know when she'll even show up to be "mom." A couple months after she left her "toy" had the audacity to take her phone and talk shit to me about how great she was. Nevermind that she hadn't seen her own child in over a month. I know how to find him but why? My job is to be dad. It's something I take seriously. It's truly all I care to be. I'd like to talk to you man. Not to cry on each other's shoulders. Just straight man to straight man. Lol. Seriously tho. Regardless... I wish you and yours nothing but happiness! :-)
Yeah...same feel
I couldn’t say it better myself
Same.
I've found that I now love anything acoustic that he does way more than most slipknot or stone sour songs. I really, really hope he does an acoustic album some day
@@arais7788 He got a whole acoustic live session on Spotify, for starters.
Do you ever love something so much it hurts?
Yeah, for me, that's Stone Sour.
ArinInQuotes same
ArinInQuotes that and Corey Taylor's perfect face
Fried Chicken Can't argue with you there!
For me it's the things I've lost that I'm reminded of when listening to Corey sing. Those very real emotions and lyrics. 😔
Yes
I've seen it all and I know better
I've felt the bitterness and pain
My soul keeps changing like the weather
The only constant is the rain
I know your black and white intentions
And theres no room for shades of grey
I've never asked you to conform to me
I only beg for you to stay
Waiting here tonight for you to come
But your love just disappeared
Waiting in the dark for miracles
But miracles don't happen here
Miracles don't happen here
Miracles don't happen here
I still have dreams that were together
And I can still taste your skin
Reminders all around surrounded by your light
I don't want to die again
I don't deserve to be discovered
I don't deserve to know you care
I only want my promised other
Not someone who isn't there
Waiting here tonight for you to come
But your love just disappeared
Waiting in the dark for miracles
But miracles don't happen here
Miracles don't happen here
Miracles don't happen here
Ohh.. waiting here all night for you to come
But your love just disappeared
Waiting in the dark for miracles
But miracles don't happen here
Waiting here all night for you to come
But your love just disappeared
Waiting in the dark for miracles
But miracles don't happen here
Miracles don't happen here
Miracles don't happen here
Miracles don't happen here
This is such a heavy song emotionally to just end with "........ Thank you." *clap clap*
+Jessica Couch yeah
+Creep Sauce keep you're head up bro. Miracles do happen I promise! Hope everything turns out good for you :)
GOOD THING WE GOT CORY
Jessica Couch He was telling the audience thank you for the miracles that don't happen here.
Miracles dont happen here......Thank you. It's like when Nirvana was unplugged and Kurt Cobain said Fuck you this is the last song of the evening.
I just can't get over their acoustical music. It's amazing.
I really hope he puts out a fully acoustic album one day. They're by far my favorites from him
Corey is one of the few vocalists that can sing with a voice that just hits you so deeply. The fact that he is also one of the best lyricists that I have ever heard makes it hit twice as hard.
WOW that's the same feeling for me...
well said

Like how Corey just really puts effort into his emotions. Then at the end is so casual just saying thank you. What a boss.
1
Fuck. I really want to be able to sing like that so bad.
you can see the anger in his face when he sings "...not someone who isn't there" scary :S
That's what I really admire from him. He's versatile and he's so damn good live too. Probably one of the most talented vocalists out there.
He has such a clear, clean voice. I can't quite describe it.
i would love to have an unplugged album with corey taylor
man that would be the bomb
stone sour stuff and even some slipknot versions unplugged would be so fuckin nice
if one rock voice should be picked to represent the human race it should be Corey's...unbelievable talent!
This song hasn't been given enough attention, the last time he songs the verse when he does it as high as he does on the album just gives me goosebumps

Woooow !
C O R E Y
Corey can always put so much emotion in his music.
My soul keeps changing like the weather the only constant is the rain...This man is my personal hero
TBH stone sour should be all across the radios but people don't know how to handle with out auto tune
Karleigh Hirose fuck hip hop and auto tune

this one is basically nutshell...
Jim was the key, But now....They are different. Even Corey told long time ago, that Jim was the missing part, and now they asked him to leave. Sad
Omg I was thinking the same thing
It's favorite song of my cat.
oh when he kicks it in for the third chorus... chills down my spine
i love his voice so much!
amazing song!

Audio Secrecy is my favourite Stone Sour album. Great "break up" album, it helped me a lot. And it helped me much later than in 2010.
Love Corey's voice!!
Crazy thing is, this acoustic version has a "haunting" feel to me...and I love it!
👏👏 Damn he rocks it with those vocals!!❤❤
