Seeing how this penned out, i truly i understand how the palace was a dangerous place, you could easily get lost either by actions or words said out of ignorance. It was hard to enter but even harder to leave.
I was born in Chinese blood too and I always hate when Chinese parents always respect for a son than a daughter. In the end, daughters always be a money tree for parents and her brothers. I am in this situation and I hate it so much.
Jinzhong began helping Ling move up back when she was a maid Jia tortured for fun. He did it in part because he had feelings for her. If he wasn't such a little weasel, I would pity him for what happened to him later. Jinzhong was too good of a teacher and Ling a good pupil.
Sadly Ruyi, knows the evil and cruel soul Consort Ling is, yet she didn't protect herself and those dear to her. She put herself as a target, the Emperor was a disloyal narcissistic fool, which she also knew, sadly enough her reputation, relatives and her UlaNara Clan lost royal favor and descendants
Sadly, when you don’t think that way yourself, it is very hard to understand just how far some people will descend into evil to preserve themselves and utterly destroy others. Ruyi saw how evil Ling was but truly didn’t understand how black her soul really was until almost the very end. Sadly, Ruyi died, but in doing so, left her son open to such mistreatment. I’m sure she thought the Empress Dowager would continue to protect him, and maybe she did to a certain extent, but at her advanced age, her protection could not last forever. It’s so sad to learn that he only lived to be 25.
If only they had stopped Concubine Ling from entering the room and coaching her mother on what to say. They might have gotten to the bottom of the plot and punished Ling as she deserved, with death. This would have prevented many other people from being killed by her, and helped lessen so many horrible things from happening to Ruyi and her loved ones. But I guess that would have significantly changed everything about the later plot and tone of the story. It certainly would have been much happier. I still hate Concubine Ling in this story!!! I wish she got what was coming to her much sooner.

實話說，炩妃的黑暗，起碼有一半都是被進忠給影響放大的；雖然她本身人格就不正，但進忠的各種慫恿和建議，都深深影響著她。（進忠各種小表情嘴臉，也是演得好啊）
什麼樣的種就生出什麼樣的女兒。明明是自己害人還可以如此理直氣壯
