This is probably the most alive, and energetic I've ever seen sid be in an interview where he isn't playing a character lol it seems like usually in interviews when he's just being himself he's very quiet, and laid back. But here you could tell he was being like. Himself himself. The moment he walked into that room it was like I was watching two besties hang out together. You can definitely see all the memories flooding back to him when he holds and looks at those masks. Just in his eyes and body language the dude is really having some nostalgia
Sid came into my coffee shop in Tacoma, WA and the dude was one of the weirdest but nicest dude ever. Tipped me like $40 because I was chatting with him and his friends because the shop was empty when they came in. Told me his name was Philip on his order but then I called Sid and he came up to the bar and I called him out for it lmao. Cool dude.
It's pretty cool to see how far this whole thing has come full circle. To have a Slipknot member not only teams up with you to do something so cool, but it's rad to see him being so down to earth.
I love how much Sid remembers about the older days, and that's why part of why I've always liked Slipknot So much. They don't seem to forget where they came from, the days of practicing in someone's basement after work and going around to random mask shops and doing home repairs on equipment
Sid has always been my favorite member because he's never been the typical sit behind the turntables DJ. He gets crazy and has a larger than life personality while at the same time, retaining his humility despite being in one of the greatest bands of all time.

I was with Sid when he bought the shark in Chicago . He and I went walking around before the Motley Crue show and he got it at a shop by our hotel and Sid was so excited - the shark made it into a magazine like a week later!
This is great! I toured with Slipknot in 2000-2001 and they were all really awesome guys. I tour managed Joey in Murderdolls after that. Sid was always kool to hang out with.

That is an awesome experience. Its crazy to me, back in 2000 I caught my first SlipKnoT concert at OzzFest. I have been hooked since. I was 30 at that time. 52 now (same age). Insane to me they're still out there killin' it. The blood sweat and tears they put into their music and on stage is amazing. So many of us combat veterans relate to the meaning behind so much of their music. I am seriously grateful for SlipKnoT. Got me thru some really dark times in my life. I've been to 9 shows. Last one I was at a couple rows from the stage in Cleveland, OH. Thank you, Sid, for taking the time to do this. Y'all really are the best!

Speaking on the getting tattooed and watching Slayer. Back between 2000-2002 my best friends’ band opened for Slayer when they came to Jacksonville FL. We also invited our friends from a band called Endo up from Miami (they played Ozfest for a few years back in those days)…. Anyway, the drummer for Endo asked me to bring my piercing stuff because he wanted to get his lip pierced and I had been piercing in a shop since 1997 (and continued until 2012) we were backstage and I was starting to do his piercing and I just felt this presence standing behind me. I look back and Kerry King is standing there with a tall boy in his hand and arms crossed just watching. Even though I had done thousands of piercings by this point, I immediately got nervous. I had been hanging with bigger bands for years because I was lucky enough to come from a time period where we had a pretty rad scene in Jacksonville, but there was something about that one that really made me nervous 😂
Sid is so absolutely cool. Man, for being in one of the biggest bands on the planet, he is so humble and down-to-earth.

Speaking on the getting tattooed and watching Slayer. Back between 2000-2002 my best friends’ band opened for Slayer when they came to Jacksonville FL. We also invited our friends from a band called Endo up from Miami (they played Ozfest for a few years back in those days)…. Anyway, the drummer for Endo asked me to bring my piercing stuff because he wanted to get his lip pierced and I had been piercing in a shop since 1997 (and continued until 2012) we were backstage and I was starting to do his piercing and I just felt this presence standing behind me. I look back and Kerry King is standing there with a tall boy in his hand and arms crossed just watching. Even though I had done thousands of piercings by this point, I immediately got nervous. I had been hanging with bigger bands for years because I was lucky enough to come from a time period where we had a pretty rad scene in Jacksonville, but there was something about that one that really made me nervous 😂
Freaking finally getting to watch this, So cool man to have Sid there and talk about the mask in person, been waiting so long for something like this.
