Overview of The Lore™
Nightforges were created and they were super useful. They created useful tools and items using the power of the moon to enhance items. However, mass usage of these nightforges ended up causing problems. It could be a problem with the forge, or it could be the moon itself. People, especially people who worked with a lot of the tools created by the nightforge, started to become obsessed with the moon.
Most commonly, it involved getting to the highest point possible and just staring, though sometimes if the moonsick individual had the resources, they would build these spiraling towers extending up into the sky. Animals and plants also have the capacity to get mooksick, and would follow similar behaviors.
Eventually, it got so bad that people couldn’t even go outside in the daytime without symptoms worsening. Society ended up retreating underground to stay safe, and that is where the story starts. You would become one of these former surface members if you were you were to join the survival server.
