Really nice! I see from the head protectors, that you are open to minor non-original items - therefore I'd recommend a discrete fork brace. These were the first plastic mudgards, and the fork legs do flex a bit when you ride 'em the way they are meant to be ridden. Easy fit, you will notice it.

    Servus Urs,
erstmal ein wirklich hammer Aufbau. Top.

Your bike is extraordinary. I saw one of these in the early seventies and I have yet to see another model of any make that I would rather own.
    Well done.

I made it in Switzerland. Most parts I bought in Germany or Italy. It costed me roughly 9000-10'000€. Not cheap if you do it right but it's worth!!!

When I was 17 this was the most exotic motorcycle you could get, in a time of Laverda Jota, Kawasaki Z1, Ducati 900ss you've done a fabulous job!

How do you clean the engine block and other engine parts? They looks so clean, even when they comes from factory didn't look like yours.

Wow, what a great job, how long did it take? I have a Le mans 850 MK3 that I am busy building. I estimated about a year to do it properly. The bike has not run in 11 years so lots to do :)

      Dear Bill
It took me about two years to renovate it but I was not every day working. From the MK3 they say it is the best one. It was not my intention to make a complete restauration right from the beginning. As I recognized that I have to paint the frame I knew I will have to make everything because if you have to take out this part you have disassembled already the most of a bike. What I also noticed was that it is also an expensive job but it is worth to do it right believe me. Keep on working and tell me if you finished please. Have fun!

Great. Thanks for the response. The one I have has been standing for eleven years so as you can imagine a lot of work. My first project was to strip down and clean to see what can be used and what needs replacing. I'm not in a rush but I will keep you updated on the progress. Thanks again. Billy

Engine numbers are difficult to identify. The only information I could find was a link in Wikipedia which is not really helpful. Probably you found this alreday. Sorry I'm afraid I cannot help you.
