In english for some reason we like to mention the city in the club name. Sporting CP = Sporting Lisbon, or Athletic Club = Athletic Bilbao. It's wrong but meh, we do it anyway.

You got to come back for the Lisbon derby between Benfica and Sporting and the Clássico between Benfica and Porto and also a lesser known game for foreigners the Minho derby between Vitória SC and Braga
i'd say the lisbon derby (sporting vs benfica) is the fiercest 1
As a Benfica fan I would say the Lisbon Derby is the most "emotional" and classical game in Portugal. But the fiercest and most agressive one is generally Benfica - Porto. Sporting and Porto fans can correct me but I don't think Sporting-Porto is considered that big of a rivalry, every Sporting and Porto fan I know says they consider Benfica their biggest rival. Not saying we are the best because of it just the general attitude of the fans.
